NIT Surathkal Cutoff 2025 was released for admission to various BTech course specialisations in the form of opening and closing ranks. The cutoff was released for categories belonging to the All India and Home State quota, like for the General, OBC, SC, etc. 

For the General category candidates belonging to the All India quota, the cutoff in the last round ranged from 2158 to 31695, wherein BTech CSE emerged as the most competitive BTech branch for admission. The NIT Surathkal JEE Main cutoff 2025 was published for admission to various BTech course branches for a total of 9 rounds. In the first round, the cutoff ranged from 1528 to 25160. NIT Surathkal Cutoff 2025 for OBC AI Category

The OBC AI category students faced the final round cutoff ranging between 1452 and 37516, wherein BTech in Computational and Data Science emerged as the most competitive course for NIT Surathkal admission, with the closing rank being 1452. For the General AI category, the cutoff for the same course was 4470. This difference in the ranks suggests that the competition for this category and course is tougher than the above-mentioned one. 

In contrast, the least competitive branch for enrolment was Mining Engineering, with the cutoff being 37516 in the last round. NIT Surathkal Cutoff 2025 for SC AI Category

NITSurathkal BTech cutoff 2025 was released based on the candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance examination. For this category, admissions were capped at a rank of 121976 for all the available branches. The General and OBC AI categories last round cutoffs of 31695 and 37516, respectively, we can see that the admission cutoffs here are more lenient in comparison. 

According to the last round, the toughest specialisation turned out to be BTech CSE, with the cutoff ranging between 322 and 364. NIT Surathkal Cutoff 2025 for ST AI Category

Students can refer to the table below to know the closing ranks for the first and last rounds for various BTech course branches. For the ST category students belonging to the All India quota, the top three most competitive courses in the first round were BTech CSE, followed closely by BTech AI and BTech in Computational and Data Science, with the cutoffs being 124, 138 and 267, respectively.

The same specialisations had the last round ranks at 138, 180 and 267, respectively. BTech in Computational and Data Science had the same cutoff in both rounds; this could mean that there was limited movement between the first and the last round. For more information, see the table below.

NIT Surathkal Cutoff 2025 for EWS AI Category

For this category, the overall cutoff ranged from 287 to 39831 for NIT Surathakal admission to the following courses, given in the table below. While BTech CSE remained the most sought-after course, with the cutoff being 287 in the first round, which further increased to 3274 in the last round. 

Other slightly less preferred courses were BTech AI or BTech IT. BTech AI had the cutoff range between 309 and 3929, according to the first and last rounds. For this category, the cutoff was only released for 6 different branches, like Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc. Out of all the courses mentioned below, the most competitive one was Artificial Intelligence, with the cutoff being 71 for both the first and final rounds. This is the lowest cutoff qualifying rank among all the All India categories mentioned previously. This means that the competition here was the toughest for this course. Along with the cutoff being released for various All India categories, the cutoff was also announced for various Home State categories, like the General, OBC, SC, ST, etc. The cutoff was released for admission to various BTech course specialisations at the UG level. 

For the General category students under the Home State quota, the specialisations that were the easiest to attain in the last round were Mining Engineering, closely followed by Civil and Metallurgical and Materials, with the cutoff being 50926, 34647 and 27214, respectively. Candidates who are aiming for the top-most specialisation would need a rank of at least 3025 for the BTech CSE course. CSE was the most popular course for admission. NIT Surathkal Cutoff 2025 for OBC HS Category

Students who belong to this category and want admission to the most popular course in the final round, which is BTech CSE,  a rank of at least 10446 or preferably below is required to have a chance at admission. Candidates who have a rank above 10K can also opt for specialisations with slightly relaxed cutoffs,  like BTech in Artificial Intelligence and BTech in Information Technology, with the last round cutoff being 13774 and 14157, respectively. NIT Surathkal Cutoff 2025 for SC HS Category

For the SC Home State quota category, the admissions were closed with a rank of 163702. For the same category but in the All India quota, the admissions were capped at a rank of 121976. When referring to these two ranks side by side, we can see that the qualifying ranks for the SC HS category were more indulgent. 

Taking into consideration the last round, the branch that was the most demanding was CSE, with a rank of 917.  BTech in Artificial Intelligence course, which is becoming a popular choice, had the last round cutoff of 1499. For more information, see the table below.

NIT Surathkal Cutoff 2025 for ST HS Category

Only those students can gain admission to the courses tabulated below who have appeared for the JEE Main entrance examination and have participated in the JoSAA counselling process. Students who need a rank of at least 257550 to avail a seat for any BTech branch. A rank of 257550 was for the BTech in Mining Engineering course, which has been the easiest course among all the previously mentioned categories, in both the All India and Home State quota categories. 

Other courses that were also easier to get admitted to in the last round were BTech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with the cutoffs being 209226 and 177952, respectively. Students should refer to the table below for more information.

NIT Surathkal Cutoff 2025 for EWS HS Category

For the EWS HS category, the JEE Main cutoff 2025 was released for admission to multiple BTech branches. Students should know that the lower the cutoff, the higher the competition. Following this rule, BTech CSE was the most competitive one for admission, with the cutoff being 397 in the first round and 6398 in the last round. 

In contrast, the least competitive course for admission in the last round was BTech in Civil Engineering, with the cutoff being 69078. In the first round, BTech in Mining Engineering turned out to be the least competitive, with the rank of 4918. More details can be seen in the table below.

Students who belong to the General AI category need to secure a rank between 1528 and 2158 to be eligible for BTech CSE branch. On the other hand, the OBC AI category students need a rank between 495 and 3690. Please note that other categories will have different cutoffs accordingly.
