Candidates can get admission to IITs without qualifying GATE. However, there are specific eligibility criteria, that candidates need to meet. IITs like IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Madras, etc. do offer direct admission to MTech without GATE score. Many IITs reserve a limited number of seats for direct admission. Direct Admission to MTech (Higher CGPA Required)
To get direct admission to IITs without GATE score, applicants need to meet the following:
- Be an IIT Graduate with excellent and consistent CGPA
- Minimum CGPA/CPI required is 8.0 or above in all semesters
- Each IIT have a different CGPA or CPI requirement, therefore candidates must go through IIT admission notification carefully.
Note: IITs like IIT Delhi, IIT Bhilai, IIT Mandi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, accept a CGPA of 8.0. For this, they must be a BTech graduate from an IIT and must have a consistent CGPA in their academics.
