It is one of the best colleges for microbiology.

Placements: It's a government college so placement rate is not so good. The placement rate for undergraduate course is normally 66%. Job based internships are not provided but curriculum based internships are offered which play a pivotal role in enhancing practical skills and industry exposure.

Infrastructure: The campus is large but lacks proper maintenance. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and are in good condition. Laboratories are excellent. Wi-Fi facilities is not available. The library is spacious and has a good collection of books. There is a canteen on campus that provides decent food. A large playground is available for students to practice various sports, along with a badminton court. Hostel facilities are not provided by the college.

Faculty: The microbiology department has eight faculty members, all experienced and holding PhD degrees. In my opinion, there is no need for private tuition. Semester exams range from moderate to difficult. Professors conduct frequent class tests to prepare students for exams. They also encourage participation in various internship programs, helping students become industry-ready.

Other: The college has around 2,000 students. Seniors are friendly and helpful. The annual fest, Dhun, is celebrated every year, along with Basanta Utsav and Saraswati Puja, which are filled with joy and enthusiasm. The campus has a pleasant atmosphere with greenery all around.

Good infrastructure and big field with excellent teachers.

Placements: There is no placement guarantee; you have to search for a job, but there is a new facility in the NEP in the fourth year. Many seniors are there, and they are useful; they help us understand things which are hard. Those who are interested in are welcome here.

Infrastructure: Huge place but needs maintenance, no Wi-Fi. Humongous place with a field and badminton court and zero maintenance. There is parking available. The toilets are dirty, lifts are not working, and cameras are not in every place, only in some corridors and canteen with no one cooking.

Faculty: Very good and seniors. The teachers are professionals and experienced; they try to help students in every possible aspect. There is a student section where a student can beg to get work done after getting roasted a little by a solo staff. Other staff members are kind.

Other: The strength of 2000 students.

Placements: In our B.Sc. Microbiology (Hons) programme, the placement scenario has been promising. Approximately 80% of the students from our batch secured placements. The highest package offered was around INR 8 LPA, while the lowest was INR 3.5 LPA. The average package stood at INR 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include renowned names like Biocon, Novartis, and Biogen. A commendable 60% of students acquired vi internships from reputed companies such as GlaxoSmithKline and Hindustan Unilever. These internships played a pivotal role in enhancing practical skills and industry exposure.

Infrastructure: Bidhannagar College provides well-equipped laboratories, advanced classrooms, and resources for Microbiology students. Wi-Fi facilities are accessible, fostering a conducive learning environment. The hostel facilities are satisfactory, offering decent accommodation, nutritious mess food, and essential medical services. Sports facilities, though basic, are available for recreation.

A good college in Bidhannagar.

Placements: Approximately, 60%-70% of students were successfully placed in my course. Many seniors say that the college does not offer any placement drives or job campus. Students have to look for jobs themselves after completing the course. Job-based internships are not provided, but curriculum-based internships are offered on campus.

Infrastructure: Our college has many classrooms, computer labs, and resourceful libraries. Also, our college provides Wi-Fi facilities. Hostel facilities are not available in our college. The canteen and food court are all available inside our college campus. Medical facilities are good. Sports and games are also available.

Faculty: Basically, many teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. All faculty members are extremely supportive and helpful. They make all types of efforts to make students industry-ready because the teachers are very experienced, and some are gold medalists. Exams are easily cleared because they are too easy.

Placements: At Bidhannagar Government College, the placement rate for undergraduate courses is normally 66%. This indicates that, after finishing their education, between two-thirds and three-quarters of students are able to find work. There are internships available at Ola, Zomato, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent. The campus Wi-Fi was accessible to us, although it was sluggish. The food in the canteen is good and reasonably priced for everyone. There is a library but the books are not available all the time. Well-equipped classes are here.

Faculty: The professors are kind and encouraging. They make complex subjects simple for us to understand by utilizing a variety of instructional strategies. The exam for the semester is a little challenging so you need to work hard to do well on it. Yes, it makes students industry-ready.
