BITS Pilani Goa Highlights 2026
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Goa was founded as a private institute of South Goa in 2004 and has since become one of the well-known private institutes of South India. The Goa campus of the institte is among the 4 campuses of BITS Pilani and is managed by Aditya Birla Group. The other campuses are located in Hyderabad, Pilani and Dubai. BITS Pilani Goa has since been accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by the NAAC and recognised by the AICTE and UGC.
BITS Goa extends a range of UG, PG and PhD courses in the disciplines of Engineering and Science. BITS Goa courses include BSc, BTech, MSc, MTech, MBA and PhD among others. The cutoff for the General categories under the All India quota held a wide range with the first and last round cutoffs ranging between 189 and 274, respectively. BITS Goa students are eligible for many central and state undergraduate scholarship schemes. The eligibility requirements along with the details of various departments and schemes among the BITS Pilani Scholarships are as follows:
- Merit scholarship: The scholarship is awarded based on the student's CGPA in the current semester. Around 10 (per batch) people get 100% off and another 10 (per batch) get 40% off on tuition fees. This semester’s cut-off was 9.2

BITS Pilani Goa Infrastructure
BITS Goa provides modern amenities with state-of-the-art infrastructure to its students. The provides facilities such as a student activity centre (SAC), shopping complex and bank, medical centre, guest accommodation, central library, computer centre, laboratories, hostels, etc.
- Central Library: The campus library has several creatively built seating halls, a digital library with internet access terminals, and a large area for book storage. The library has been provided with a wireless network whereby users can access the internet using laptops. The library transactions and searches are managed using the (FLOSS) KOHA Library Management software to automate its entire housekeeping activities.
- Computer Centre: The Computer Centre (CC) has a central computing lab having 300 workstations (DELL & Lenovo) connected through LAN. These computers support a large number of software tools and simultaneously provide for the storage, hardware and software needs of the campus.
- Video Communication: An 18+16 seat CISCO telepresence conference room allows the impressive multipoint teleconferencing facility to students and teachers.
- Laboratories: The institute provides labs equipped with all the sophisticated instruments and apparatus for students, faculty and research scholars.
- Hostel and Mess Facilities: The institute is fully residential. There are separate hostels for boys and girls providing accommodation for each student on campus. Hostel common rooms are equipped with recreational facilities like Table Tennis and carom along with LED TV with Dish connection, newspaper and telephones.
- Student Activity Centre (SAC): SAC is constructed in an area of 37,000 square feet. It is equipped with indoor sports facilities like badminton, table tennis, billiards, squash, carom, dance room and a well-equipped gymnasium with all the modern training machines.
- Shopping Complex and Bank: There is a shopping complex inside the campus which provides the facilities of a supermarket, vegetable and fruit shop, cafeteria, gents saloon, beauty parlour, laundry, book store and stationery shop. HDFC Bank has provided an ATM facility on the campus.
- Medical Centre: The medical centre provides for the primary medical needs of the residents. It provides 24*7 emergency care services for all its residents through a dedicated medical team.
- Guest Accommodation: Excellent facilities are available for boarding and lodging on payment at the Visitor's Guest House (VGH) built in the southern corner of the campus. The VGH allows visitors to have a comfortable stay by providing all the requisite facilities.

Students can arrive at the Goa Dabolim International Airport and take a 15-minute drive to reach BITS Goa Campus. The process of BITSAT Counselling 2023 has been concluded. The last round i.e BITSAT Iteration 7 results were released by BITS Pilani on the official admissions website at bitsadmission.com. BITS admissions 2023 to BE/ BTech, BPharm and MSc courses offered by all three BITS campuses including Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad is based on BITSAT 2023 scores. No, BITS Goa doesn't accept JEE Main scores for admission to the BE course. Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Goa BE admission is based on valid BITSAT scores. Selection is based entirely on the candidate's past academic record, specialisation preference, availability of seats and score in BITSAT. Candidates, who have passed Class 12 in 2023 are only eligible to appear in 2024 and are eligible to apply for the BITS Pilani BE course. Apart from the BITSAT scores, students are also required to fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements.
Students are required to meet the eligibility of having graduated with a relevant degree (BTech) to study M.Tech from BITS Goa. Students must also meet the marks based requirements of having a minimum aggregate score of 60% in the UG examinations to be eligible while selections depend on entrance exam scores such as GATE, BITS HD, GPAT, etc.
