Review of Bahra University .

Placements: If we talk about placement, it's average here: approximately 60–70% of students got placement. The highest package is approximately 20–24 lacs, and the lowest is approximately 4–5 lacs. 60%–70% of students got internships, and here they can do internships of their own choice.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is also very good. We have a Wi-Fi facility in our labs, so we can easily do our work. If we talk about hostels, we have provided Wi-Fi facilities and attached bathrooms to every room. If we talk about mess, the food quality is good, and we have medical facilities too.

Faculty: Teachers over here are very helpful; they focus on each and every student to give their best and they have full knowledge about their subjects. They make every student ready for jobs and placements. And our exams are not that tough either; we only have to focus on what we have studied in class.

My college is above average and the facilities are good.

Placements: 40% of students are placed in our college every year. The highest package offered in our college was 5 Lacs and the lowest package is 1 Lacs. Infosys and Google are the top companies in our course. 30% of students get an internship.

Infrastructure: Facilities are not so good in a hostel and the infrastructure is above average. The facilities are not so much good in the hostel. The quality of food is not so good. Sports facilities are good like cricket, badminton and football. Medical facilities are good to above average.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful to those students who are the topper of the class. It is difficult to pass the final exams.

I am dissatisfied with the university. It is not worth the money paid.

Placements: Since 2017, I haven't seen any of our senior batchmates or our batchmates getting placed in good companies. This year they are giving a reason for COVID. The situation was normal during Covid, but they are not placing students anymore.

Infrastructure: Hostels are fine to live in. But the food they serve in mess is very messy. There is no cleanliness maintained. They charge extra for the students who don't live in hostels. Wardens are very rude. No one keeps a check on what is happening inside hostels.

Faculty: None of the teachers have performed code in the course since it started. Our teachers don't have any practical knowledge. They come to teach, but they don't teach properly. They only provide notes and conduct exams as a burden.

Other: Campus is like a fish market. There are dhabas inside the university. The canteen on the campus is the worst. Dhaba inside a university doesn't sound good. They should provide good campus life for the fee they are charging.

Our university has good quality classrooms, Wi-Fi and good placements.

Placements: There are many placement companies which visit our university for the placements like Mahindra. There is also a placement cell in our university. Many types of roles are offered to students by many companies. But, only a few students get the job, and many of them don't get the placement.

Infrastructure: We have many classrooms for study and have a big library which helps us for studying, and also there are many Wi-Fi routers in each block. The quality of the labs is also good, but the quality of the food in the canteen is very bad. Hostel rooms are fine, the only problem in the hostel is the Wi-Fi as there is no Wi-Fi in the hostel rooms.

Faculty: We have many teachers for studies. But a few teachers are not knowledgeable, and a few teachers used books for teaching. But a large no. of teachers did not use anything for education and are very helpful for students. So approximately all the teachers are good at teaching.

The weather is too good here, 90% students get placed.

Placements: The placement of our senior batch was good. 85% of the seniors got placement in well-reputed companies. The highest salary was 8 lakh per year, the lowest salary was 2.5 lakh per year and the average is 4 lakh per year. The companies that visited our campus are Wipro, Unisys, Solitaire Infosys, Amazon, Videocon, Yes Bank, Hdfc Bank, Just Dial, Touchstone, Taj hotel and many more. The roles offered to the students are software engineer, network engineer, software developer, etc. 60% got an internship.

Infrastructure: The whole college has Wi-Fi. The classrooms and labs are well furnished. Fist aid dispensary is available. Volleyball, football courts are available and also there's a gym. The quality of food is too good but non-veg is not available in the canteen or mess. Hostel rooms are well furnished with individual bathrooms with three beds, three study tables and chairs and three cupboards in each room.

Faculty: The faculty members are well experienced, helpful and qualified. The teaching methods which were used were chalk board and presentation. The student to faculty ratio is 60:1. We got industry exposure. The course curriculum useful. In every semester, we went for industrial visit, which was very helpful.

Other: Another detail I want to share is that the location of this college is very beautiful and pleasant. The weather is too good. As I am also a hostler, I want to tell you the most important thing, that is, every room has its own individual bathroom. The infrastructure of this college is very good. And food in mess is good but I don't like the chapatis of the mess.

Fantastic placement record in 2016.

Placements: BU Solan has got one of the most friendly faculties and placement officers. Teachers are passionate and inhibit will to help students regarding their problems and projects. Placement officers are always available to get in touch with students in the times of need. Students experienced around 15-20 IT companies this placement year which offered packages ranging from 2.5 LPA to 6.5 LPA. Some named companies which came to offer lucrative packages are Capgemini, Wipro, Josh Technologies, Data64 Pvt. Ltd, Zensar Technologies, Mobiloitte, CEBS Worldwide, etc. These companies offered different job profiles such as associate software engineer, software consultant, software developer, business analyst, technical recruiter etc. This year, computer science department experienced 100% placement record. Last year (2015), 33 among 44 students were campus placed in reputed IT and business firms. Many companies offered stipend based training and many did not. Also, IT giants like Capgemini, Zensar Technologies had a minimum 2-year contract based hiring while many companies like CEBS Worldwide, Mobiloitte, Mansa Infotech gave internships without getting students in any kind of bond with the company.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure at BU Solan is fairly developed. It is not a fully Wi-Fi covered campus. One can get good Wi-Fi at campus main library or in computer science department. Rest, all department's labs are equipped with internet facility. Internet speed is average in the campus. computer science and mechanical engineering labs are well equipped with development tools which are in demand in the industry. There is a facility of indoor sports inside the campus. Gym with latest machines is also present. Classrooms are exceptionally good in some departments like CS, pharmacy and fairly developed in others. There are at least 5 eating points inside campus where one can expect homely kind of food. Besides this, there is well-designed mess facility for girls and boys separately. The only glitches one may face in the campus would be regarding slow internet speed, strict restrictions for hostelers (especially girls), less space for any annual celebration.

Faculty: Faculty members are extremely friendly in departments like computer science, pharmacy, electronics and mechanical. One can expect good knowledge output from them. Some new faculty members face difficulty in answering every question of students but they definitely help come with solution the very next day by referring some book. Method of delivering lectures is chalk-board method, also, projector based learning is done for demonstrating some topics by presentation. Curriculum is taken from BITS, Pilani and syllabus is almost same as theirs. One can expect bit low industry exposure while studying but can refer to teachers if he/she wishes to learn some new skill. Faculty members are very helpful in adding any new skill if it is beneficial for the students. There is about 1 faculty member for every 5 students in computer science and for 15 students in branches like mechanical and civil.

Other: One can have a beautiful experience studying in this college located in hills. Here, student crowd is good and well-mannered. There is quite good discipline in university and one experiences lots of cultural, technical, gaming festivals inside the campus. Being situated in fresh environment of hills, one gets surrounded with vitality of nature which nourishes minds for absolute success. Good luck!

Everything was perfect and amazing .

Placements: Here I got the placement of 7.5lpa, which helps me to achieve my desired, hobby and etc., here I get the more then 25+ interviews for the better placement, and they provide me the one year internship which helps me alot to gain knowledge and how to behave professionally.

Infrastructure: Campus is really good, I love the weather and the views u SEE from the university is amazing, here u can watch the different cultures coming across the India. The best part of the university hostel is the food they make the taste food with hygiene so I love the food as well.

Faculty: Faculty are the best they are very humble and intelligent. They know the practical knowledge as well as theory knowledge. They always make us confident to ask anything and they help us a lot and the mentorship was great here I learned about how to make my skills more effective .

Our faculty is very good, good placements, really good facilities.

Placements: At the time of placement, many companies came at college. But there are few students who got placement. Many students went for placement but only few got the job. The main reason is that students are not interested in placements, they want to grow their own business. So that's why few students got the placement.

Infrastructure: In CSE building, There are many classrooms and labs, but there are few facilities in classroom. There are speakers in classrooms but teachers don't use them and there are projectors which are in poor condition. And in our hostel there is no Wi-Fi and the condition of hostel rooms is very bad.

Faculty: The teachers of my college is very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is brilliant. They teach us in different and understandable ways. But all are not helpful. Many of them don't understand but most of our teachers are very helpful.

Other: In past week, our college organize a sports event for boys as well as girls and in this week they organize an event of technical activities based on our course. The fest is organized on the end of the year.
