Absolutely positive about placements, higher studies, & startups.
Placements: About 98% of students in the course were placed. The highest package was 60 LPA. The lowest was 3.5 LPA. The average package was 7 LPA. Top recruiters included Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco, Zoho, Accenture, TCS, CTS, Capgemini, Hexaware, & other MNCs and startups. Major roles included Software Engineer, Software Developer, Full Stack Developer, AI Engineer, Graduate Trainee, and Cybersecurity Analyst.
Infrastructure: The college is equipped with digital classrooms and modern laboratories. It also has Centres of Excellence (CoE). The Wi-Fi signal is okayish and can be improved. The hostel and food facilities are not up to the mark. The canteen provides good food options. Coaching and exposure are good.
Faculty: The curriculum is structured with the aim of providing exposure to modern technologies and industry-standard knowledge. There is more focus on placements and real-life skills. Two internal exams, one model exam, and semester exams are conducted. Skills and projects are given importance. Students are encouraged to do internships every semester.

This college has better packages and placements.
Placements: Usually, above 80% of the students get placed. The highest salary package offered is 60 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Companies like IBM, Zoho, Accenture, Google, Amazon, JP Morgan, Chase, MR Scallar, PayPal, Paytm, and Flipkart visit the campus. 60% of students get internships. Software engineering, full-stack developer, AI engineer, and MERN Stack are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: We have facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, neat classrooms, modern toilets and restrooms fully sanitized, AC classrooms, a center of excellence, Pega labs, and TCS ion digital zone. The quality of food in the mess can be rated as 70% because they won't serve tasty food. The daily canteen has so much rush during lunch and breakfast time, but they provide good quality food. The college also has a health centre. They don't give importance to sports, but they have all types of sports fields and grounds.
Faculty: Teaching quality is average. Mostly, they teach students using smartboards, and they won't teach technical subjects. The course is structured based on industry relevance. Semester exams are very tough. Only if a student studies clearly and understands the concepts pass the exams.
Other: I chose this course for a better package and placement. The college should improve infrastructure and offer flexible learning with AI technology and technical support. Events and culturals are held regularly, and culturals are very nice. Especially the 2nd day of culturals is very enthusiastic and energetic.

Good placements, but too much pressure like school.
Placements: The highest package offered in my college is 63 LPA, and the lowest package is Rs. 30,000 per month. The top recruiting companies at Chennai Institute of Technology are Microsoft and Amazon. The average package everyone received is 10 LPA. Most of the students, about 80-90 percent, got internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is so bad when everyone is connected to it, but it supports up to 300 Mbps if 4-5 people are connected to the outer, which is above average. Classrooms are worse, and the benches are even worse. I got a bad posture because of the steel benches. Medical facilities and sports are also available, but colleges' interest in sports is low.
Faculty: The teachers are worse, they don't have much knowledge as 4 in 6 teachers are worse for my course. For other courses, I don't know the semester exams are pretty average. If you study the materials that are given by the faculty members, you will score 80-90 percent in the semester.
Other: I chose this course (CSBS) because I can get good exposure in both finance and technical skills, which I can use to improve myself.

Very good placements in 2026. It has decent lab facilities, an average hostel, & sports facilities.
Placements: I am from the B.Tech IT 2022-2026 batch at Chennai Institute of Technology. Around 95% of students got placed. Packages range from 4 LPA to 60 LPA, with an average of 8-10 LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, Zoho, JMAN Groups, Capgemini, and Accenture. Internships and SDE, Full Stack Developer, and Cloud roles are widely offered.
Infrastructure: There is no specific lab for IT. In CIT, we have common labs for all the departments. Hostel facilities are average, and the food quality is also average. Basic medical and sports facilities are available. Overall, It is not too bad, but it needs improvements.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Most skills can be attained only by self-learning. The staff will help in whatever way they can. The curriculum is very relevant and can help students learn the current trends. The semester exams are tough, but the evaluation will be very easy and lethargic.

If you want to succeed, choose CIT.
Placements: More than 85% of students got placed in my course. The highest salary package offered was 51 LPA, and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA. Amazon and Microsoft are some of the reputed companies where students have been placed. The software developer role is offered the most.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure needs to be improved, as the food is below average. Computer labs are very good as compared to other standards, and they are well-maintained too. Especially the centre of excellence has a very good potential, and they are using it very well.
Faculty: Faculty members are always friendly and ready to help. Sometimes they may make harsh calls, but it happens everywhere, and one can tolerate, but the hostel faculty members, i.e., wardens, are mostly strict. They are also highly qualified and we can ask any type of doubts to them. They are very best.

It is a versatile college, but the management should be improved.
Placements: Our college starts giving placement training in the 3rd year, and companies approach in the 6th semester. Around 20 students out of 100 are placed from the Mechanical Engineering course in different companies. The highest package offered is 22 LPA. The lowest package offered is 4 LPA. The top recruiting company of my department is British Petroleum. The average package offered is 5 LPA in my department. Around 80% of students secure internships, and they are allowed to do so. For non-tech-based internships, the college is silent about them and won't provide access to attend.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very average. Many labs are available. The minimum academic buildings are present. The hostel facility is below par for scholarship students and high-class for management quota students. The mess is average. Sports and games infrastructure is very poor.
Faculty: The course curriculum is updated every year, and this is a positive thing about the college. Many non-academic activities are rewarded, and OD are awarded for relevant activities. Semester exams are very difficult sometimes and very easy at other times. Exams are easy to pass but tough to score high grades.
Other: The student management is very poor. There is no democracy and only autocracy. They think they own students and misuse power in so many places, which should be improved.
