Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.) - Batch of 2027

Yet it was too good an experience, I enjoyed the fest, campus, and college life.
Placements: Placement is approximately 30-40 percent of students in the final year batch. The company offers an average package of approximately 6 LPA-7 LPA and a maximum of 20 LPA. Top recruiting companies are EY, KPMG, etc. The placement cell of our college is active, it brings internships from top companies, mostly in roles of Marketing, Business Development, and HR.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is decent with old charm, red brick walls all over the campus, and greenery. Full Wi-Fi facility within the campus. The library is too big as well as the pace. There is no hostel facility and the canteen food is decent at a minimum rate, and the most important ground of the college is big with all sports facilities like cricket, football, volleyball, etc.
Faculty: Faculty of the college are very helpful, they are always ready to help the students, and the syllabus is completed on time, and also teaches about the real-world industries experience. The curriculum is designed by the Delhi University, which is followed in the university, and exams are conducted on a regular basis passing percentage is good.
Other: I chose this course because I have a keen interest in Finance and the stock market, which will help in my passion.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.) - Batch of 2026

Quite satisfied with the faculty, but dissatisfied with placement and infrastructure.
Placements: The College of Vocational Studies (CVS) provides placement at the rate of 55%. B.Com honours the highest package, which includes 23LPA, and the average package of 5LPA. Top recruiters include Accenture, Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), Wipro, TCS, KPMG, and Flipkart.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of CVS is quite good. College has its own playground for sports and games, a library, a computer lab, a canteen with affordable food, and classrooms with fans. College has 3 buildings for classes. College also has open EMPY theatre, a seminar hall, and a medical room for medical emergencies.
Faculty: We only have 1 exam for each semester, which is held at the end of each semester. College faculty is top notch, experienced, and qualified. Their knowledge and helpful nature made learning very easy. They not only focus on theoretical knowledge but also on practical knowledge, which results in making students industry ready.

Campus has greenery. Old buildings have roof-leaking creating mess. Canteen serves quality food.
Placements: Around 30% of students get placement by pursuing a B.Com(Hons) from our college. The highest package was around 20 LPA and an average of around 4 LPA and the lowest was around 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Accenture, Airtel, KPMG, EY, Wipro, Decathlon, TCS, and Lenskart. Top roles offered in B.Com (Hons) are auditing, accounting, taxation, HR, and finance-related positions.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is below average, and in most of the campus it doesn't work. Library is the only place where Wi-Fi works fine. Overall campus does have Wi-Fi, but it doesn't have a table internet connection which might cause an issue. A hostel facility is not offered, and the quality of food available in the canteen is quite affordable and decent according to the prices. Medical room is actively working and has a basic first aid kit, sports room is not in good condition, having only a few equipment.
Faculty: The teaching staff is qualified and knowledgeable. Being the largest course offered it has helpful teachers and their quality is also well appreciated. The course curriculum is also very relevant which makes the student ready for the industry practices. Semester exams have mediocre difficulty, it's neither too difficult nor too easy and has a pass percentage of 95% or more.
Other: Being from a commerce background, I wanted to learn on a deeper level about the finance field. The best thing involves getting to know how the industry works. I wish the course could have a more practical-based component rather than theory. Events are conducted on a regular basis, during fest it might be difficult to conduct as the admin creates a lot of issues, crowd is helpful and campus is surrounded by greenery. Scholarship is offered by the college and extracurricular activities are also conducted regularly.

    Commonly asked questions
    On Highlights
Q:   How is mess food at CVS, Delhi?
    A:

The canteen food is overall good and I would say it's above average. From veg to non-veg, both types of food items are available and a well maintained canteen is present.

But I would rather recommend Chole kulche and parathe kulche from outside the college gate.

Q:   How are placements at CVS, Delhi?
    A:

Overall, the on-campus placements are good but if you are pursuing a technical course from here then it might not be good enough as the companies that come here are for vocational courses.

So, if you are from a technical background or pursuing a technical course then you need to work consistently on your skillset and grab opportunities that come your way off campus and you can also participate in Placement drive that occur in North Campus or respected DU colleges such as Deshbandhu College which organises its drive and invite students from all over DU.

Q:   What is unique about CVS, Delhi?
    2thumbs up
    A:

The unique thing about CVS is its crowd that comes to the college, according to my experience the crowd is very diverse here. CVS offers a good exposure for students who are preparing to come out of their comfort zone and open up to all the opportunities that are coming their way. Students will learn to make good connections here and a bond that lasts forever.

Good, many courses offers different network in future.
Placements: The internships are good, and the placement cell is working hard to get more and more internship opportunities for college students. I absolutely love their efforts, they are magnificent. I hope they work like this and get all students good jobs.
Infrastructure: Its quite average, the campus is good but they are not that well maintained as its du college and I believe du colleges are just like government hospital they are just okay with hygiene, the staff should be concerned about this and students should raise vice .
Faculty: Good faculty to be very honest, exams are nice well structured. Faculty is very helpful and they help the students just not for sake of passing them but for tier personal growth they offer different courses and classes to help studnets develop better lifestyle.

The college may not be famous, but the societies are great.
Placements: There were more than 600 offers made in last year's placement session from a batch size of more than 1,200 students in the college. The highest salary package offered is 23.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, WTW, Deloitte, PWC, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Zomata, The Times of India, and many more. More than 700 internship opportunities were made throughout the year.
Infrastructure: The college campus is 10 acres in size, with three buildings dedicated to classrooms. The main building has a canteen and a two-storied library with an area for studying as well. The library is fully air-conditioned. The building has two computer labs, an auditorium, and an amphitheatre. The college also has a pitch for football and cricket and a half-built basketball court. The college does not have any hostel facilities, but there are a lot of flats and PGs near the college.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-trained and experienced. They are quite helpful. Some of the professors have their books written, which are a part of the curriculum. Few teachers do not take classes regularly and do not complete the syllabus. The curriculum is average and quite common in nature. The difficulty level of semester-end exams is moderate except for a few subjects whose exams are quite difficult.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the feild of accounting. The college conducts an annual event named Tatva every year in February or March. The campus crowd is quite good if we hang out with the good people. The main USP of this college is society. There are more than 40 societies which offer students exposure in different fields. The college also provides scholarships on a merit cum need basis.

The underrated and less discussed college.
Placements: The placement cell of my college is very impressive where the big 4 companies come for recruiting like PWC, Deloitte, etc. The average percentage of students is 40%. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. Our college requires infrastructure development because it is very effective. The old building of this college is not renovated. The canteen food is very good. Our college has a large ground for sports.
Faculty: The main reason for joining this college is its best academics where my B.Com. Hons faculty is very good. Teachers are very supportive and approachable. They analyse doubts of students and understand them very well. The semester exam level is medium. The average pass percentage is 80%.
Other: The college is very interactive and has a large social interaction with the knowledge and gaining of practicality.

About environment of college, facilities, etc.
Placements: I am not yet graduate. The highest salary package offered is 23.05 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.2 LPA. The average salary package offered varies from around 5 LPA - 6 LPA. De Shaw is the highest-paying company. I am not sure about the number of internships offered. Analyst is the best position offered.
Infrastructure: We have fully air-conditioned libraries and amphitheater along with computer labs and a lot of societies to join in. We do not have hostels. We have canteen which is average not that great. Medical facilities are not available but we do have football and basketball teams but there is no basketball court.
Faculty: Faculty members are great and knowledgeable as they help a lot. Some teachers are weird but not all. The curriculum is relevant and it makes students ready for industry as they even offer skill enhancement courses and value addition courses. The pass percentage is 65%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in accounting and career options. College should have better practical implication. It has a great campus.

College of vocational studies review, is it really worth to take admission?
Placements: 1. Usually, 20% to 30% get placed in the B.Com (Hons) course. 2. The highest package was 21 LPA, the lowest is 2.4 LPA, and the average is 3.6 LPA. 3. Top recruiting companies are KPMG, Accenture, and Airtel. 4. 50% to 60% of students get internships. 5. Top roles that are offered include Accountant, Auditor, and HR.
Infrastructure: Our college has very large campus. College has large ground which has all sports like football ground, badminton, basketball, and cricket. Our college has two buildings old building and new building. Old building looks old and new looks really amazing and spacious. New building classrooms are really NEET and clean. College has Wi-Fi facility, computer lab, canteen, library and seminar hall. College doesn't have auditorium. I feel old building should be renovated. Old building benches are in very poor condition.
Faculty: Teacher are really helpful and well qualified and very knowledgeable there teaching style is pretty decent and understandable. Course curriculum is relevant because teaches us Accounting and Business which helps in to become industry ready. But for high paying jobs in accounting you must do CA because only B.Com (Hons). Won't give high paying jobs in accounting. Semester exams are not that tough but the exams has totally practical question. They want to test practical understanding of students. Usually 90% students get passed.
Other: I chose this course because I'm from commerce background and I have interest in Accounting and Business. Best thing about our course is, it is totally practical course which doesn't force us to do rot learning. I think in this changing world accounting must be teach in software more than theory. Events are really amazing there is cultural society name TATVA they organises all the fest. Campus crowd really cool and friendly.
