B.Tech. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering - Batch of 2023
4.0
Massive moderate companies arrived for placements.
Placements: I got placed in the company of IFM Electronic with a very minimal package of 3.1 LPA. I got this offer by undergoing the pressure training given by the college. Later this job didn't work out for me for long, but with such experience, I joined Omron Electronics with a good package.
Infrastructure: College is a demonstration for all colleges, so all courses are offered at better standards. This college shaped the lives of thousands of students in a good way. There will be a lot of resources available for studying which would be accessible to all students studying over here.
Faculty: All the credit that has been attained by students in examinations by the massive support of teachers and the results of our hard work. Teachers speak well to students without showing any differentiations and partiality. Many students cleared their exams in the first class.

Absolute reality of Cummins staff and the college.
Placements: They don’t guarantee placement and internship, and in my course, it is not there in most of the colleges. So, the companies approaching us for internship and placement are very few, and they select 1-3 candidates maximum. The students’ placement percentage in my particular course would be 30-40%.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi available, and there is a common library. The books that should be added for instrumentation and control engineering are not there; the quantity of books should be increased. The labs are okay, but they also need to improve the performance of the PCs available in the labs.
Faculty: The staff, I would say, are very partial, and they lack knowledge in my field. They provide us with YouTube links, and some of the staff are confused themselves while teaching us the concept. The course curriculum includes old technologies; instead, we should be provided with the latest technologies and skills available.
Other: The course I chose is very interesting, and I’ve also completed my diploma in the same due to my personal interest. There are a sufficient number of events.

Great college with lots of good memories and teachings.
Placements: 85 % students were placed in my course. The highest salary was 47000 per month, the lowest salary was 17000 per month and average salary was 27000 per month. ZS associates was the top recruiting company. Junior engineer was the top role offered in my course. The highest package was 6 Lacs per annum, the lowest was 2 Lacs per annum and average was 3.5 Lacs per annum. 50% students got internship and in different companies.
Infrastructure: All required facilities were available computer labs, workshop labs, classrooms and a big library. Hostel we neat and clean all facilities like good food in mess and canteen was available. All first aid and medical kit was available. A big sport ground was available.
Faculty: All teachers were highly qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was best. Yes this course is very well relevant for automation industry, core companies and biomedical instrumentation also. Ofcourse this course makes all students industry ready.
Other: I wanted to learn basics of engineering the biomedical instrumentation was best part. More practical knowledge should be included. Our college had gandhaar as cultural event, pentacle as sports event, also scholarship to needy were provided, industrial visit and guests lectures were arranged.

Good placements, strict environment, good participation in sports and other activities (NSS).
Placements: As far as the number of companies that visit the campus is considered, there isn't much difference between our senior batch and our batch. But, if we talk about the batches which have passed out 4-5 years back, there were a lot more companies that used to visit that time when compared to the current placement scenario. Placements are average for our branch. The percentage of students who got placed last year was 36%. However, this year, around 36% of the students were placed already in the month of October, and some companies are yet to visit. Core companies like Honeywell Process Solutions, General Electric, Honeywell Building Technologies, Air Products, Siemens, Bosch, Emerson, FL Smidth, and Tata Motors have already visited the campus this year. Software companies like Goldman Sachs, Western Digital, Microsoft, Wipro, and Walmart, etc., have visited the campus to offer software developer roles. Companies like ZS Associates and Mu Sigma have visited so far to offer business analyst roles. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 39 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. Internships are being provided for students of the batches which have autonomy status.
Infrastructure: There's no Wi-Fi facility available for the students in the campus. A xerox centre and well-furnished and maintained library are available on the campus. Also, the library is provided with Wi-Fi enabled computers. Labs and classrooms are well-maintained and clean. Food offered in the canteen is really mouth watering. Hostel rooms are average. The rooms are not cleaned; students themselves have to clean the rooms.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are really helpful and knowledgeable. Some are really biased. Projector based classrooms are available. Videos are shown at times. Many guest lectures are conducted and are often hosted by the employees of well-reputed companies like Forbes Marshall, Honeywell, etc. The course curriculum is really helpful.
Other: All kinds of events are organised here. Sports, technical and cultural events are conducted on the campus. Many scholarships are provided during the course, and even Purdue scholarship is available for the students of the master's course.

The placements are good, but the infrastructure is poor.
Placements: Placements in the college are good. Students are even placed at good companies. Our college trains students for placements and interviews. Even Microsoft visited our college and offered a salary package of 39 LPA. Our college put its efforts for the students to excel in placements and extracurricular activities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is poor. Buildings are old, and they aren't much attractive. Campus size and infrastructure is the major drawback of our college. However, the newly constructed buildings are well enough. Labs and workshops are good. I'm from the instrumentation department, and I find my workshops good enough.
Faculty: Faculty members are easily approachable and friendly to a good extent. They are available for solving queries most of the times. Due to an autonomous routine, the curriculum is well updated, and the courses which are not necessary are excluded. This is a good thing for us. Even the syllabus is very well framed.

The college is good but has some disadvantages.
Placements: Placements in the college are pretty good for selected branches. For the students of computer and IT branches, the highest package offered was 31 LPA whereas the average package offered was in between 6 LPA to 7 LPA. Not many companies offer placements for the students of branches like instrumentation and control systems and mechanical. Placements are decent for software related branches.
Infrastructure: Students get disappointed with the infrastructure of the college. There is a separate building for every department, but still, the space for canteen and parking is less as compared to the students and staff present in the college. There is a very narrow road in front of the college, so there are traffic problems.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in the college are doctorate holders, and hence, they contribute to a variety of project ideas. Selected teachers are always willing to help the students for whatsoever reason it may be. Teachers usually use powerpoint presentations for teaching, which makes the students understand the concepts easily. Quizzes and small tasks are add-ons to make the lectures interesting.
Other: Every student in the college looks forward to the most awaited cultural event named Gandhaar and the techno event named Innovation.

The college has different kinds of teachers, and the infrastructure is old.
Placements: The placements of our college were good. I got placed. Many technical and IT companies visit the college for placements. The salary packages offered for the students of IT department were good whereas the salary package offered for technical branches are not that good. 100% of the students got placed in 2016. TPO was excellent. Cummins has a very good reputation in terms of placement. It's always been on the top in placements.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very old. But the college put many efforts to renovate it. Every department has a separate building. The college is very good for sports. The college has a playground and many auditoriums. The sports and cultural committee is well managed by the students and teachers.
Faculty: Some of the teachers were good and very knowledgeable. But, few teachers are not good. The teachers always encouraged us to participate in cultural and sports activities. So I was an excellent athlete, and I would like to thank my teachers for this.

Best for placements, better for self development, good for infrastructure
Placements: The placements are very appreciable with a few girls being placed with a package in the range 10k-15k and most of them being placed with 3k-10k. 98% of the girls are placed every year and some of them get job offers from more than one company. The companies coming for recruitment are amongst the topmost like Honeywell, Forbes, Emerson, Thermax, Cadbury, etc. The students get internship opportunities right from the second year, mostly from the above-mentioned companies through the college. Although the students can intern in other companies too. The stipend is good and the internships are very useful.
Infrastructure: The college campus is lush green. Although the campus is comparatively smaller, there is a separate building for each branch. The classrooms are airy, digitalized, light-efficient. The library is completely efficient with digital Opaq provided in case one doesn't find some book. But the reading rooms are very small. The canteen is a good place to hang out at and the hostel mess is also pretty good. The hostel rooms are just average.
Faculty: The faculty is well qualified with many having a master's degree and most of them pursuing PhDs. The teaching techniques are good. The labs and tutorials help the best to gain practical knowledge about the courses being taught in lectures. The labs are industry oriented.
Other: The college holds technical fests called Innovation and cultural fest called Gandhaar, both being amazing in their own places. The students enthusiastically become a part of these. The students can become a part of Robocon, a competition held across the entire Asia every year.
