Overall a good experience till now.

Placements: About 60-65% of students get placed in our course. The top recruiting companies are Biocon and Serum Institute. The top roles offered are industrialist, genetic counselor, research and development, and many more. Though campus placement is that good, one should also try off-campus placement.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are excellent with smart boards. Other facilities like the Wi-Fi and library are amazing. The hostel was good and the campus is ragging free. The mess food was average like any other hostel. Every week a doctor used to visit the Hostel.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified. Most of them have completed their Ph.D. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and it really makes the student industry-ready. Mock interviews are conducted every semester to enhance confidence. Semester exams are quite difficult but if you study well it will be manageable.

Other: I chose this course because I love Biology and wanted to make my career in that only.

It is the best college for biotechnology.

Placements: Almost 100% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Our college provides internship opportunities.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. Our campus is small. A playground is not available in our college. Students have to book a turf outside the college. The infrastructure of the hostel is good. The food served in the mess is not much good. The water facility is not good.

Faculty: Our teachers are good. They provide practical knowledge so that students can understand more precisely. Semester exams are easy.

Other: The course fee is Rs. 6,50,000.

Review of Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth.

Placements: Our college has good placements. Top recruiting companies visit our campus. Most students work on research projects. It provides wide opportunities in the drug industry. Internships are provided and benefit students who want to study abroad.

Infrastructure: The campus is small. Our college has many labs. All labs have good biosafety levels. Advanced machines are used. Our college offers MBA, BBA, PGDM, catering, HM, and design. A cafeteria is available. The campus has good environment. Gym is available on campus.

Faculty: The course curriculum is student-friendly. Practicals are more prioritized than theory, which is a good point for improving your laboratory skills. Special classes are organised for slow learners. Our teachers are friendly and supportive.

Other: If you are from a PCB background and want to pursue biotechnology, not MBBS, then this is the best option for you. Campus life is good. The campus crowd is good. Our college organises many fests. Events and seminars are part of its curriculum.

I am satisfied because the laboratory is amazing. Biotechnology is a practical subject.

Placements: Placements in our college are not very great, but students have recognition outside of college. So it's easy to get a job considering the low scope of biotechnology in India. Most people tend to do MS in foreign countries. One of the top recruiters in our college is Medtronics.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. It's not a very huge college, only 3 departments in the Waksas branch. But the labs are well-equipped and the hosts are good. Food is also tasty. Every place is accessible near the college area, like grocery marts, stationery, etc.

Faculty: The faculty at our college is excellent. Our exams are well planned, and the courses in biotechnology include medical biotech and Masters of Science in B.Tech. Apart from that, a 5-year integrated biotechnology course is also available whose curriculum is designed well. Bioinformatics is also covered.

Absolutely good college to join. Not so good with the campus situation.

Placements: As such placements are not there because 90% of students opt for higher studies but still, there are some companies that visit for on-campus job recruitment. As far as internship goes most of the students get placed in different institutes and companies like Serum, DRDO, etc.

Infrastructure: There is a Wi-Fi connection in the whole campus with great speed and well-equipped labs that can function efficiently. The classrooms are equipped with smart learning devices and a smart library with all the necessary books and daily newspapers and magazines related to Science and all other relevant topics such as research journals.

Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is pretty relevant and all the subjects are relevant too. The course is so well made that it can help the students to start working after the course is completed. The college encourages the students to do internships in the summer vacations so that students become more experienced after the course is completed for the industry.

Other: This course is an upcoming branch in India with great potential. The best thing about the course is that it can help us to shape the future. The course was good the only drawback is that it should have more practicals than the theory since in the future practical knowledge is more valuable in the market. There are events that are well organized in the college and students take ample interest in these events.

Good professors infrastructure is okay but placement is not upto the mark.

Placements: Placements are not that great because biotechnology is still a growing field in India. Usually students here opt for higher education like MS in foreign universities or go for GATE. You can appear for GRE or for GATE. Anyway students do get internships in CSIR labs and also majority get placed but salary is not satisfactory.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay. There is a shop available in the campus where students take prints of their lab records. Wi-Fi is available 24*7. Food quality is not that good but there is canteen and also nearby food shops. Medical facility is not there but you can consult nearly doctors.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified in their field of interest. They are helpful also some professors are really very good and some others just not ok. Overall professors are good some have very bad attitude (don't know the reason). Curriculum is relevant syllabus is revised every year. College has a subject on Industrial Biotechnology to make students industry ready.

Infrastructure and faculty members are good here, but college needs improvements in the curriculum.

Placements: I think about 10-15% of the students got placed. The average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. I don't know about the top recruiting companies in our college. Students are offered with roles like research analyst, data analyst, etc. I don't have enough information about placements. Perhaps 20% of the students got placed, but I am not aware of the placement details as a lot of students choose to pursue higher studies, including masters in PhDs all over the globe. Serum Institute of India and other such companies hired students for internships. Students occasionally get placements after their graduation.

Infrastructure: Classrooms and library are available in our college, but there is no Wi-Fi facility. Library and computer labs aren't available for 24x7, and open access to computer labs are also not available. Hostel had water shortage and cleaning staff with regular staff strikes. Hostel rooms are not enough as compared to the number of students.

Faculty: Lecturers in our college were well-qualified and inspired you to pursue your dreams and take risks. The course curriculum is designed to provide you with a widespread introduction to a lot of subfields in biology and biotechnology. It prepares you for both industry and higher studies. Our institute puts more emphasis on higher studies as compared to industry placements.

Other: I have chosen this course because it provides a good introduction and practical exposure to a lot of subtopics in biological research. The college should add certain topics in the curriculum, such as neuroscience and statistical tools. Currently, programming techniques like R and Python would also be good if added in the course. Extracurricular activities and events, including fests, are limited in our college due to lack of funding and sponsorships.

The college is good only in terms of building and infrastructure but not anything else.

Placements: Very few students got placed in our course. The salary package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA. There were no top recruiting companies, and the internship or jobs were not provided through the college. Everything was on an individual basis where students have to manage everything on their own only.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure and maintenance were good of the college. Things provided in the college were sufficient. Hostel facilities were not up to the mark as they charge a lot when it comes to stuff. But do not provide that type of facilities on the college premises.

Faculty: Teachers were moderately helpful, and they were average qualified. And knowledgeable was not up to the mark as the college only hired for the sake of hiring. The quality of the teachers in terms of knowledge and skills could have been better.

Other: I have chosen this course as per the demand of the year. There were a lot of opportunities coming in that particular field at that time of the year. I wish the environment to study could have been better, and we could have got better teachers.
