Review of Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: The placements are very poor for core departments like civil, mechanical, automotive, and electrical. The placements for other departments like information technology, computer science, electronics and communication engineering are average. Infosys, Polaris, TVS, etc., visit the college to offers placements.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities in the college are very poor, and it is not provided in most of the areas. The laboratory facilities are very good with all the machinery and equipment. The automobile department has more laboratory facilities. Libraries are very good. Overall, the infrastructure of the college is good.

Faculty: In the civil department, the minimum number of faculty members are present compared to other departments. Their teaching is good.

Other: The symposium is a very good festival in our college.

I am satisfied with the good campus.

Placements: Around 60-70% of students got selected for campus interviews. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA. Tata Consulting Services and Arun Excellence were the main recruiters. Many other IT companies visited for campus selections. Almost 90% of students got internships in our college.

Infrastructure: The library was very excellent. The campus was Wi-Fi-enabled. Library facilities were good enough. Daily newspapers were available. Classrooms were average. Projectors were available in all classrooms. The food served in the canteen was good enough. Only vegetarian food was served. The canteen food was not good.

Faculty: The teaching quality was good in our college. Teachers helped you to solve all your doubts and queries. Semester exams were tough. The pass percentage was 80%. Semester exam revisions were conducted after the results.
