Placements: Gargi College has a Placement Cell that conducts placement drives and offers various training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance students’ skills and employability. My course offers opportunities in NGOs, research institutions, and political consultancy. The best package in 2024 is 23 LPA, and the average is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies that participate in Gargi College’s placement drives include EY, GDS, KPMG India, Deloitte India, S&P Global, Accenture, and Wipro.

Infrastructure: Gargi's infrastructure is top-notch. It offers a vibrant and lush green college space. There are a total of 5 blocks. The college has an auditorium, seminar halls, a big library, an affordable canteen, Nescafe, and Mother Dairy offering nutritious diet. The college also has many science labs and computer labs. Medical facilities are present. The sports activities and extracurriculars are extremely active.

Faculty: The course offers wise faculty with years of experience. They carry a senior legacy, offering warmth, passion, and wisdom to the students. Their backgrounds include research work, higher studies, and working under esteemed personalities. They create a supportive and familial bond with their students. The course curriculum is largely relevant, providing research training, skill development, and knowledge building about governance, international relations, and public policy.

Other: The best things about my course are research training, skills development, a comprehensive syllabus, and continuous assessment enriching personality development. Along with academics, the college has around 20 societies that offer wide opportunities ranging from literary to performing arts. Different departments, societies, and the college as a whole keep conducting events, so every day at Gargi is vibrant and full of enthusiasm. One thing I would like to improve is toning down the academic pressure because the numerous assessments and academic deadlines at the same time become challenging for the students.

It has strong academics, vibrant campus life, and a well-rounded college experience.

Placements: There are many courses in this college. We have benefited from all the courses and it is good according to recent data. The placement rate for students in a typical course at Delhi University is around 70-80%. The average package offered ranges from 5.5-8.5 LPA depending on the degree level. The highest package can reach significantly higher depending on the company and student profile. The lowest package is 5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The library is good and the canteen food is good. There are sports and Ganesh facilities, which are amazing. Medical facilities are very good and labs are also good. Classrooms are like home type and it feels good to study.

Faculty: The college is amazing and studies are also very good. At least 50% marks are required for admission and every course is available. Semester exams are not difficult. If we like and attend all the lectures from time to time, then it is good.

Other: I am interested in this course, so I chose this course.

The infrastructure is good. But dissatisfied due to the lack of hostel facilities.

Placements: Around 50 percent to 60 percent of students are placed in my course. The recruiting companies at Gargi College include Wipro, NIIT, PwC and others. The highest package offered in our course is 23.05 LPA. Some of my seniors are appointed as news anchors for news channels. Overall, the scope is great if you are hardworking.

Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure and facilities of Gargi College are good though not exceptional. One thing that is annoying is that Gargi College does not have any hostels, which makes it a bit of a struggle. The sports society at my college is good. There are many societies in my college, such as dancing, music, acting, and others.

Faculty: Teachers are great overall and highly qualified. They also help us with other things, such as guiding us for the future. However, my course is not focused on industrial topics, so it doesn't provide much help in industry-related areas. The semester exams are not that difficult.

Other: I enjoy reading about politics, which is why I chose this course. I find the political ideas of ancient times the most interesting. This course would be better if it included more practical experiences, like taking us to debates where politicians are present. The most annoying thing is that our college doesn't have night events.

Gargi- a safe home for all.

Placements: Companies like the big 4 also visit the college every year and massively recruit. Recruitment is mainly done for commerce background students, but many companies also hire students from arts backgrounds. The average package offered is 4 LPA and mostly students with above 7 GPAs secure the placements.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure could definitely be worked upon. There are no ACs in most classrooms and the washrooms could be improved. Recently, a new building has been inaugurated so which looks very promising. Most Delhi university colleges lack infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available in the library and certain departments.

Faculty: The faculty is very qualified. All the professors are very understanding. Exams are conducted every 45 months and regular class assessment and internal assessment are done. The course is quite good and covers various aspects through its many papers.

Talking about life in Kamla Nehru College.

Placements: There are no placements in this course. Most of the students of this department are planning for government jobs like- UPSC, state PCS, law, or academic fields.

Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure, it is quite good. Facilities are also very nice. Our college provides Wi-Fi. The library is very nice. It contains a lot of books and journals from every department. Our college doesn't provide a hostel facility, so you have to take PGs or flats.

Faculty: Faculty members of the political science department are very good. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching style is top-notch. One of the teachers of political theory teaches us so well. I love her teaching style. Talking about semester exams, you have to attempt 5 questions out of 10. Each question carries 18 marks. So if you study well, you can get good marks. The passing percentage is around 30%.

Other: I'm doing political science honors, and I like this subject. The best thing about this course is that you can get a vast knowledge of everything happening around you in day-to-day life. You can learn deep knowledge about various theories and concepts. This course can also help you a lot if you are planning to prepare for civil service exams. College societies and departments usually initiated different events, competitions, extracurricular activities, and fests. This can help in developing our overall personality.
