B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2025
3.6
Overall, the college is good. The view and location are good for college.
Placements: Our batch is from 2021 to 2025 in civil engineering department. Placement is decent for civil department. Mostly girls are invited to the placement. Recently, a Kolkata company visited our college and selected around 50 students for placements. They provided around 4 LPA package.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. All the labs and equipments are provided properly in lab. All the things are provided about the study are provided. The hostel conditions are good and the food service is good. The food is provided differently every day. Also, provide teaching in morning and evening.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. If you have any doubts you can ask them. This is an autonomous college so the exams are held at this college and also checked at this college by teachers. So you can contact them if you have doubts. You can also see your answer sheet and excuse from the teachers. Teachers and teaching methods are good.
Other: Our batch is good. I will miss after completing my college. I will miss all my friends and all the memories I have collected in this college.

Overall, it is one of the top government college in Uttarakhand.
Placements: Around 20%-30% of students got placed from campus. Some students got placed from off campus. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 4.75 LPA. Top recruiting companies are IT and mega engineer and no further companies will hire most students. Generally, internships are very poor and students got internships, so there was no percentage of it. The top roles in our course are site engineer, power engineer, and many more. Overall college placements are okay.
Infrastructure: First of all our department is very good. Wi-Fi facility on all floor of department and any student can access it. Labs are okay and classrooms are also good. College has digital boards and well chairs and tables. Hostel is generally good in terms of which type of fees. Water comes only in morning and evening, toilets are cleaned. Mess food is very Good. There is an ambulance for students and in last hostel has some indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful over time. They are well-educated. Some are IITian and NITian. All departments HoD are IITian they have experience of many years in this college. Course is very good it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are tough but the overall pass percentage of students is good.
Other: I chose this course because my dream is to become a civil engineer. Events are the top of this college.

College Diaries: And How Can You Stay in College?
Placements: Those with a rank up to 5 Lacs get Civil Engineering. The highest packages through Main are 7 Lacs, and the lowest is 3 Lacs. Only those who have faith in Civil Engineering take the Civil branch. There is a lot of scope in Civil Engineering. No, there is more scope in government jobs than in the Civil branch.
Infrastructure: Our college has a library, and there are a lot of books in it. Students of other categories get more books to read, and there are more benefits to it. Labs are there in every department, and classrooms are also different for each year. Other faculty members also keep coming to the hostel to see what the kids are doing.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good, and studies are also good. The course curriculum in our college is also good, and it is industry-ready. We learn well what to do after going inside, how to do it. It is difficult, but I don't feel uncomfortable with it.

Journey to college in a mesmerizing manner.
Placements: The highest package is off-campus, 1 crore, and on-campus, there is 11 Lacs. The top recurring companies are such as BHEL, Wipro, and ISRO. The percentage of students who get it is full, anybody can do it.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for your course are well-maintained and well-built through an able classroom in which the Wi-Fi, labs, and library have proper facilities. Mess, canteen, and medical facilities are also there and sports and games also happen.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable about teaching quality. The course curriculum is relevant. The students make it ready for industry. The difficulty is in the semester exams at the end but it makes good sense at CGPA. The end semester is different from the other tests. It includes an increase in development in study.
Other: I like this course because of the knowledge gained by me and the best thing about this is construction in which many events, fest, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarships, and cultural activities take place.

College life is the best .
Placements: My branch is Civil, and many of the children from Civil are in government jobs, and many have got Axe placements. They have the highest package of 12 lacs in our college, and the lowest is 3 lacs. In our course, there is L&T company, and big companies like Bill come and give placements to a lot of children.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are very excited, and all the faculty members have a good understanding of the course. Our college has Wi-Fi, there are labs, classrooms are separate in each department, and there is a great library center as well. There are also a lot of books for study.
Faculty: The faculty curriculum is excellent, and exams are also conducted properly, and exams are also conducted on time. But they are conducted every semester, and exams are held in the morning and evening. The faculty members conduct the studies, and the exams are also short.

College is decent, beautiful, and price-worthy.
Placements: Our college is a decent government college; almost 50 percent of students get placement by the college. Most of the students are from CSE, AIML, Mechanical, and ECE. Our college has other branches also, like Civil and Biotech, but most students who are placed in companies are from the above-mentioned branches. L&T, Wipro, and Tata are some companies that have come to our college for placements. The average placement of the college is 5-6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college has good natural surroundings, like the view of the Himalayas range. Also, the infrastructure of our college is good. Our college is located between beautiful mountains. The faculty members of our college are decent; I would not say very brilliant, but they are decent enough to encourage you and are very cooperative with students to guide them for their future. The department has good network capabilities and Wi-Fi service. The college has good classrooms and labs. The library of the college is very peaceful, clean, and well-arranged.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and very cooperative with students, but the way of teaching is old style, though very helpful. I would say the faculty members are decent; they are well-qualified and cooperative, but the method of teaching is primitive. Semester exams are quite medium—not very easy, not very hard.
Other: It's very cold here, so make sure to keep your winter clothes on. I chose this college because it is very beautiful and zero-polluted.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty and good placements in 2020.
Placements: None of the students in our batch got placed, a few of my batch mates switched to coding and got placed at Wipro. For other branches like CSE ECE, there were on-campus placements. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and HCL were the top recruits. For my branch one has to go to off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was decent and almost every piece of equipment was available for lab testing purposes. Quality was average mess food was the worst in the first-year hostel but as you go towards the final year the food quality improves significantly. One medical centre was built there during my final year days. There was a Wi-Fi facility in every hostel And no such facility was there for sports except table tennis in the final year hostel.
Faculty: Teachers were well qualified and teaching quality was average. The course curriculum wasn't made to prepare students to be ready for industry purposes. Passing the semester wasn't hard at all pass percentage is almost 85-90%. But I didn't get to like the course because I found it boring and very hectic most of the time.
Other: I chose that course because it was value for money I got a TFW seat in civil engineering which almost reduced the fee to 25k every semester. The best thing about that course is that you get to know new places new people new ideas innovations etc. The curriculum should be such that it prepares students for industry purposes not just mugging everything and still having no practical knowledge. Events are the best part The cultural fest going and sports fest Josh in the alternative semester were the few good things to remember in my entire college life. Some photography, dance, and music clubs were also there for students.

GBIET is the best college because it provides a platform for students to grow in all aspects.
Placements: About 10% of the students get placed during the completion of course. Around 80% of the students get placed from the college after the completion of the course. The highest salary offered was around Rs. 80,000 per month by companies like CIL and ONGC. The lowest salary offered was around Rs. 28,000 per month by RVNL, and the average salary offered was around Rs. 45,000 per month. Top recruiting companies were ONGC and RVNL. Students got selected on the post of assistant engineer, site engineer, etc. In our course, the highest salary package offered was around 9 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was around 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 6 LPA. Around 10% of the students got an internship in companies like CPWD, L&T, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs of our college were fully-furnished with the facility of Wi-Fi. There were three types of libraries in our college, and they were a central library, departmental library and hostel library. Departments had essential facilities like seminar hall, common room, etc. Hostels had all the basic facilities like mess, individual canteen for each hostel, gym, common rooms, etc. The quality of the food served was also good. Hostel and mess charges were on the subsidised rates.
Faculty: All the faculty members of our college got recruited through government norms. Teaching quality was high as all the teachers were experienced. Along with the regular classes, tutorial classes help students to clear their doubts. Faculty members offered extra classes for the preparation of competitive exams. The course curriculum was relevant and was as per the guidelines of AICTE. The curriculum provided mandatory industrial training for students for real-life exposure.
Other: I opted for the course because civil engineering is interesting, and students can always relate their studies with practical examples around them. Regular site visits help to develop an interest in understanding the theoretical portion. It should include more site and industrial visits. Our college organises an annual cultural as well as sports week and gives students a platform to unleash their talent. The campus is in a hilly place, which gives a soothing and stress-free environment for students. The college offers various scholarships based on merit, reservation through the support of TEQIP, central and state government.
