But, in the starting of your career journey, you can expect between INR 4 LPA and INR 6 LPA.

The college is good but sometimes we face water crises.
Placements: The percentage of students who placed is likely to be 80 percent. The highest is 10 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average package offered is 4 LPA-5 LPA. Almost 90 percent of students got internships. Some are interested in research so they apply for IIT's, DRDO, and those who are interested in industry will go to BHEL, THDC, Mahindra, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Each department has Wi-Fi and a library. The classroom infrastructure is good each class has a smart board. Labs are well organised and have sufficient equipment. The college has its canteen. The medical facilities, sports, and games are available.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Whatever they explain is understandable if not they will explain it again. The course curriculum is relevant. Classroom knowledge and labs help us understand well and help us in the industrial field. It's not difficult if one has gone through all the topics that the teachers have explained. The pass percentage is good it is 80 percent.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in machines and designing. I wish that side by side they taught us the software that is beneficial for our work field. Each semester the college will conduct 1-2 events, and fests are also organised. The campus crowd is very good. The connectivity is good as our college is in a good locality. The campus surroundings are clean and peaceful and scholarships have been provided.

Satisfied with the admission.
Placements: 40-45 percent of students got placed in the passed-out batch of my course this year. Mostly, they are off-campus packages. PSUs and GATE qualifiers are more. Companies like BHEL and ONGC do come. Roles that are offered in the course are Graduate Engineer Trainee, Design Engineer, Production Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, and Maintenance Engineer.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are well-maintained in the department. Proper Wi-Fi facility is provided. Classrooms are well designed with good smart screens. Labs are well-equipped but do need proper maintenance from time to time. The lab equipment doesn't run when needed because of a lack of maintenance. Other than that, a departmental library is also provided.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful and qualified. The teaching is up to the mark. It does take time in the 1st year of college to get familiar but as the years increase, faculty seem to be familiar with the students and also the interest becomes more in the core subjects. To be industry-ready, one shouldn't just study the theoretical and numerical but also have to attend the labs and perform all the practical neatly then only one can become industry ready. The semester exams are never difficult, you just need a better understanding of what to study.
Other: I chose this course because I was always interested in this field. Being a girl makes me stand out and get knowledge that other girls don't and it is both thrilling and exciting at the same time. Events keep taking place from time to time in the college, sports tournaments keep taking place, and many other competitions are being held from time to time.

Good for a degree and bad for placement.
Placements: Placements are decent, depending on skills more than the degree you get from here. Hiring is done but only skilled students get a good placement. Students try to get off-campus placement. The environment is good, most students opt for competitive exams from here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is kind of good. Except for a few hostels all are new and just repainted, though the mess food is not good. Washrooms are cleaned regularly. Departmental infrastructure is also decent. Roads are there, food canteens, shops, a bank, and a post office are all inside the campus.
Faculty: The curriculum is bad before with a 9.5 multiplication factor to calculate CGPA but now it has changed. Subjects are based on credit points and extracurricular subjects are also available. Relevant subjects are taught according to your branch but don't expect teachers to be good, only a few are capable of teaching, the rest just got here through money.
Other: This is the cheapest college where you can get your B.Tech done though campus life is not so great as this college is in a very remote hill area so don't expect it to be like some college in a city.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering) - Batch of 2025

GBPIET is a decent college with a scope for growth.
Placements: Most students in our batch are unplaced, and those who did get placed are mostly through PSUs like BEL. The highest package offered in my branch is 12 LPA, but it is offered just for one or two students. The placement rate is quite low. Maybe 20-30 percent of the batch students actually get placed in college. Internship opportunities are also limited, and mostly students have to find them on their own. Core manufacturing companies rarely visit the campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent for a government college. Labs are functional. The library has a good collection of books. Wi-Fi is available on campus. Classrooms are clean and well-maintained. Hostel rooms are basic but livable. The mess food is average and nothing great, but manageable. Sports facilities exist, but are not very well-maintained. Medical facilities are basic. A small dispensary is available on campus. Overall, it has a standard government engineering college setup, nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.
Faculty: Faculty members are mostly well-qualified. Many of them are PhD holders, and some are master's. They are approachable and willing to help. However, the course curriculum is a bit outdated and doesn't fully match industry requirements right now. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is generally decent if we study regularly. The syllabus covers theory well, but practical and industry exposure through academics is limited. UTU exam pattern can be tricky sometimes with subjective questions.
Other: I chose the Manufacturing Engineering course because I am genuinely interested in this field. It has a scope in industries. The campus environment is peaceful, and the location in Pauri has its own charm. What I wish would improve is stronger industry connections, and the college could build ties with manufacturing companies for internships and placements. It would help students a lot. Extracurricular activities are limited, but some technical fests do happen. Scholarship facilities exist for eligible students.

Overall, it is a good college in a good location in Uttarakhand.
Placements: Placements are good percentage-wise. Mostly, students from the CS and IT branches get placed. The average package offered is low. But if we continue a job, we will get high packages. The highest package is 12 LPA. Many students here pursue higher studies like M.Tech through GATE.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top-notch. The hostel is good. The cost is also very low. It provides Wi-Fi-enabled hostels and classrooms. The food is provided in the hostel itself. Sports facilities are also good. We also have NCC here, which is also very good.
Faculty: All teachers here are highly qualified. The teaching is good, but the checking is hard here. There is a low CGPA for all students. The highest CGPA in our class is like 8.1. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 89 percent. They train students for placements too.

If you want to join a college only to gain good course knowledge, then you can join.
Placements: About 50% students get placed in my batch. Top recruiting company in BEL Kotdwar. The highest package is 12 LPA CTC, and the lowest is 2.4 LPA. The student did an internship with their own reference. In our batch, many students were placed in L&T construction. Some students are placed in Mahindra and Mahindra.
Infrastructure: Labs are not well-equipped but well-equipped. Many instruments are in working condition. The library is big and lots of books are available. Hostels are good according to the fest-wise. Mess food is better than that at other private colleges. Rooms are shared and individual.
Faculty: Faculty are well-educated. They have good knowledge about their field, and they are well qualified. Our institute is autonomous. So our exam paper is made by the subject teacher and also checked by a subject teacher. Overall, the exam paper is not that tough.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in the mechanical engineering field. The college is near my hometown. In college, mainly two events are conducted, one is the sports fest JOSH and the other is the cultural fest Goonj.

The answer of your question can only be given by seeing the previous year cutoffs of this institute. In 2020 the  JEE mains cutoff for general category for Btech CSE was 49974. So, although you belong to SC category and your cutoff will definitely be low, but your rank is very less. The difference i
