Overall, college is good, but the student has to improve their skills on their own.
Placements: Almost 60% student are placed every year, and the highest placement is 10-11 LPA and the lowest is 3-4 LPA. Mainly, TCS and Cognizant come to the college or other companies to recruit their students. The percentage of students who got internships is not fixed. The top roles are business acumen and development.
Infrastructure: Almost all facilities are included in this course, such as the top classes and library with air conditioning labs. And there will be two canteens and some sports facilities (tt, badminton, cricket, volleyball, basketball, everything) and some good clubs and events.
Faculty: Almost all teachers graduate from local Kolkata colleges, but the quality of education is good. The curriculum does not exactly make one job-ready, but the teacher guides very well to make one job-ready. The semester exam is moderate, the teacher can explain everything and help before the exam.
Other: In this course, there are attendance criteria that have to be fulfilled. The course is fine, nothing to make better. The course gives you the best curriculum possible.

Good placements and facilities.
Placements: Top recruiting companies include Wipro, TCS, Deloitte, MindSprint, Mindtree, and IBM. Students mainly receive roles like software engineer, data analyst, and system engineer, with many also getting internships in these companies. The average packages they are offering is almost 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The department offers good Wi-Fi, modern computer labs, smart classrooms, and an updated library for students. Hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms, average mess food, and multiple canteen options. Basic medical support, playgrounds, and indoor/outdoor sports facilities are also available on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, well-qualified, and deliver the syllabus clearly with good teaching quality. The curriculum is relevant, industry-oriented, and includes labs/projects that help students become job-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and the overall pass percentage is usually high (around 85–95 percent).
Other: I chose this course for its strong career opportunities and practical learning, and the best parts are the labs, projects, and placement support. I wish there were more advanced electives and more frequent hands-on industry workshops. The campus has active fests, a good crowd, strong connectivity, plenty of extracurricular activities, and decent surroundings with available scholarships.

Good for your GATE preparation.
Placements: Almost 70 percent of the students got placed. For the ECE branch at Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, the placement is more related to IT-based. The average package for ECE is 4 LPA. Typical top recruiters for ECE are IT and software companies such as TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, etc., and core companies are Dexcorr, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. The library is well-stocked with technical books, journals, and digital resources. We also have a digital library where one can access computers for their work. The hostel facilities are decent, providing good security. The canteen offers a fair variety of foods with good taste.
Faculty: The teachers are very supportive. They always help to solve your doubts. The curriculum is very relevant. All the subjects of GATE are covered in the 2nd year, so that you can prepare for GATE from the 2nd year itself. The question level in the semester exam is moderate. The pass percentage is about 95% percent.

I think more focus on CSE.
Placements: There is less hope for core companies. Most recruiters are TCS, Accenture, etc. Median salary is 3 LPA to 5 LPA. For CSE, the highest salary package offered is 5 LPA to 7 LPA. It also offers above 12 LPA but no mass hiring. Reputation is good compared to EMI or techno hackathons that happen, and teamwork is encouraged. Internships are not that common but jobs are mostly in consultancy unless one tries own.
Infrastructure: Food is good especially dosa and noodles and price is reasonable. Physics labs are good with dedicated ones. Library is good. Classrooms are divided into groups. Lots of clubs to join both academic and non-academic. Wi-Fi speed is nice. Elevators are present. A whole building is dedicated to CSE, the central block Mech and ECE blocks are divided.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Seriousness gives an easy 8 pointer. We can get notes easily, and books are issued by college itself. Semester exams are moderate. Teachers are qualified. It's autonomous, so it focuses more on coding for CSE but core ones get less time for coding.
Other: Only government scholarships are present, no freshers altogether. Department wise functions are held. Seniors are friendly. There is no ragging in our college. Not too costly, I think it's good for CSE, ECE, and bio tech. Transportation is an issue, although when traveling. Traffic skills take a lot of time.

Heritage offers great placements, helpful faculty, good infrastructure, and decent campus life.
Placements: Around 85-90% of students from my batch got placed, especially in the CSE, IT, and ECE departments. The highest package offered is 40 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, IBM, and Amazon. About 70-80% of students got internships during their course, mostly in service-based companies like TCS, Capgemini, and Wipro. Common roles offered include software developer, analyst, data engineer, system associate, etc.
Infrastructure: The college provides strong infrastructure with high-speed Wi-Fi, air-conditioned libraries, well-equipped labs, modern classrooms, and dedicated project rooms. Labs are regularly maintained and include updated systems and equipment. Hostel facilities are available, especially for girls, and boys can opt for nearby PGs. The mess food is average but hygienic. There are multiple canteens on the campus. The campus is clean and green with facilities for indoor and outdoor sports, a medical room, and regular maintenance.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified. Many of them are PhD holders and have years of teaching experience. They are approachable and helpful. The course curriculum is regularly updated and aligned with industry needs, especially in fields like AI, ML, and cloud computing. Semester exams are moderately difficult but manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is high for students who attend classes and study consistently.

College fails in infrastructure, placements, and faculty support.
Placements: College provides limited placement opportunities for MCA students. Placement cell heavily focuses on B.Tech students while MCA students are sidelined. Very few core companies visited our campus for MCA specific roles and many of us had to find jobs on our own.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is not up to the mark. Classrooms are not well-maintained. Basic things like clean washrooms and proper seating are missing. Canteen food is average, and hygiene is not up to the mark. For the fees we pay, the facilities are not worth anything at all.
Faculty: Faculty is unhelpful and lacks proper knowledge. Most teachers read from slides with no real explanation. They avoid doubts, don't show any interest in student growth, and don't provide any guidance and support. There is no motivation and encouragement from their side.
