Hooghly Engineering and Technology College is a college which builds engineers.
Placements: Our college provides about 30% of placements in the electrical department, and the rest of them were picked up through pool campusing. Overall, the placements process was good this year. A maximum of them is from the IT department as we all know that this is a software-powered world. The highest salary package offered is 9.6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.2 LPA. Tech Mahindra is the mass recruiter. Companies Syska, Capgemini, L&T, TCS, Cognizant and Wipro visit our college for placements. HETC ranked 3rd in Internshala, and about 73% of the students from our course got an internship through Internshala. Top roles, like an analyst, software analyst, web designer, web developer, etc., are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: Our college provides smart classrooms for the electrical course with speakers all around the hall with continuous management over CCTV and 24x7 Wi-Fi. Our college provides online classrooms for those who miss a class or cannot attend class due to this pandemic. We have separate laboratories for every streams and department. The library is well-conditioned with air-conditioning system. The hostel has 24x7 water. In the hostel, one can choose the way to have their lunch and dinner. There is a strict restriction over timings. Both the college and hostel has its own separate ground. Our college conducts annual sports at the ground on the campus. Our college conducts sports like 100 meters race, 400 meters race, high jump, Javelin throw, Discus throw, cricket tournament, football tournament and volleyball in the annual sports day.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good. They support you emotionally rather than only studying. We can discuss freely with them at any matter, and they are really cool. DB sir is the best faculty. Other than the physics faculty was so playful than you'll ever meet. Mechanical faculty members are calm and cool-headed. CSE course faculty members are messy, and somehow you will understand them. English and language faculty will let you know that there is a world beside this college. Our college faculty members built you totally to face the world. Every teacher understands your need, and every problem is solved. This college not only makes you ready for industries, and it will make you ready for any other field.
Other: I have chosen this course because the electrical course is the core branch, and I like the fieldwork where I know that the I will provide power to this nation and I want to serve it to the people for the people. The best thing about our course is that electrical engineering provides you challenges in every step, and you have to plan everything beforehand. I think that digitalisation of electrical engineering will help the future students to deal with the process of the management, production and transmission of the electricity will be a lot easier. Our college offers many events in the even semester like tech fest, Robofest, an orientation day, freshers and annual sports day. The campus is not that much crowded. We got real gems in the field of connectivity as HETC is connected to the corporate world lot easily through various portals. Many companies want to train us, and we also handed a lot of opportunities from various MNCs like Coursera and Udemy. We got special compression as registering by the name of the college. Swayam and NPTEL are helping us continuously over our course.

Review of our college facilities and placements.
Placements: 72% of students were placed in our previous batch. The highest package- 54000/month, the lowest- 11000/month, average- 18000/month
Top recruiting companies are L&T, Tata, Phelps.
Above 60% students got an internship in our previous batch. But I don't know the name of the companies.
Top roles offered are project manager, assistant project manager.
Infrastructure: Our college has 3 buildings. The big one is used for the classes. One building is for labs, library, and auditorium hall and one building is for teachers and office workers. Our college also has a playground and free wi-fi, although the Wi-Fi network is very weak.
I don't live in the hostel but I know the hostel quality is very average. Food quality is also average. Medical facilities is very good in our college. Our college also organise an annual sports day.
Faculty: The teachers are well educated and very helpful to students. They teach us very well. The teaching quality is also very good. Laboratory teachers are also very helpful. The course curriculum is very relevant. This course makes the students ready for industry.
Other: I wanted to be an engineer from my school days. So I chose this course. This course makes a student ready for industry.
I wish our college have a canteen and they started virtual classes.
Events- Vishwakarma puja, Saraswati puja, Dol Utsav.
Fest- Freshers, alumni, social.
Scholarship- no scholarship from college till now.

First of all, Hooghly Institute of Technology is a different college. It is a government Diploma college, but HETC is a government aided degree college, so I am not quite sure about the placement records of this college.
