IIIT Pune MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
MTech at IIIT Pune is a two-year PG-level programme. The institute offers around two specialisations for the MTech programme, which include engineering disciplines, which are Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering.
The institute admits students to the MTech programme based on GATE, followed by CCMT counselling. Moreover, IIIT Pune MTech admission is only possible when candidates meet the eligibility criteria.
- Eligibility: BTech degree in relevant discipline with 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% aggregate for Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Currently, IIIT Pune has not released the academic calendar for the 2025 batch of M.Tech courses. However, according to the previous batch, the classes for the M.Tech course commenced on 13 Aug 2024. Hence, candidates can anticipate that the M.Tech classes for this year can fall on similar dates from the previous batch.
IIIT Pune offers admission to MTech courses in various specialisations for a period of two years, divided into four semesters. Admissions for MTech are based on securing at least 60% marks in Class 12 and appearing for the GATE exam and then sitting for CCMT Counselling process.
