IIIT Pune MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025

MTech at IIIT Pune is a two-year PG-level programme. The institute offers around two specialisations for the MTech programme, which include engineering disciplines, which are Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering.

The institute admits students to the MTech programme based on GATE, followed by CCMT counselling. Moreover, IIIT Pune MTech admission is only possible when candidates meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility: BTech degree in relevant discipline with 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% aggregate for Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Placements: Our college provides 100% placements. The highest salary package offered in 2022 was 54 LPA. The highest salary package offered in 2023 is 84 LPA. The average salary package offered in 2022 was 16.8 LPA. The average salary package offered in 2023 is 18 LPA. Our college provides 100% internship opportunities. More than 150 companies visit our campus this year. CSE and ECE students got equal placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: The temporary campus is well-equipped with all facilities. The permanent campus covers over 100 acres of land. It is under construction. Our college has good hostels and messes. The internet speed is high on campus.

Faculty: Our college has the best faculty members. We have highly qualified professors. Exams are a little bit difficult. You need to maintain an 8.5-9 CGPA every semester for a good academic result. It will help you in your placements. We have a relevant syllabus. It is not much vast. It is useful.

Other: Technical, cultural, and music fests are held in our college every year. Our college has many clubs. Inter and intra-IIIT sports meets are held in our college.

It is an excellent college.

Placements: At our college, almost all students are placed. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Cred, Facebook, Miniorange, ZS Associates, Atomberg, etc., visit our campus. More than 250 companies visit our campus. The highest salary package offered is 1 crore per annum. The average salary package offered is 17 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our college has a good hostel and good rooms. The campus is good. The college is surrounded by hills, which looks good. The weather in Pune is the best in the country. There is moderate weather, neither summer nor winter. Pune is a good place to hang out and chill. The hostel is good. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Sports facilities are good.

Faculty: Our college has excellent teachers. They are Ph.D. holders. The teaching quality is excellent.

Other: Scholarships are not available, but it does not matter much because placements are good.
