IIT Dhanbad is one of the best colleges in India.
Placements: Placements in the college for bachelor degree holders were good, especially for mining, petroleum, geophysics, computer science students. Placements were above average for electronics, electrical, and civil engineering students. Placements were not that good for master courses. Colleges used to visit our campus to offer faculty positions to students. Texas Instruments visited during our campus placements and offered a salary package of around 16 LPA. The highest salary package offered was around 60 LPA, and it was offered by Facebook to some B.Tech CS students. Overall, placements were good for bachelors and below average for master courses.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure. There are two gates; the main gate and Dhaiya gate. The new lecture halls and classrooms are the best with all modern facilities like a projector, green board, modern lighting, Wi-Fi etc. The new library is simply awesome, and it is one of the best libraries in India according to me. There are many canteens on campus. Each hostel has its canteen, and we used to visit the canteen at 2 am. The college has good infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college were not that good. They had the knowledge but didn't know how to deliver lectures. Some of the faculty members were awesome. They had everything that you would expect from a faculty like a degree, knowledge, experience, publications, etc. The course curriculum was good but could be better for a master degree.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is one of the very good IITs.
Placements: Placements for B.Tech courses in IIT (ISM) Dhanbad are very good for all branches. Placements for some branches like petroleum and mining are good. But they are average for other branches. Companies like Coal India Ltd and well-known PSUs directly recruit B.Tech and M.Tech students of mining engineering.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. There are more than ten hostels which have the capacity to accommodate two thousand students. Labs are very good and full of equipment. The college will provide funds for your project if your faculty find it to be good. Facilities for all games are available here. A gymnasium and student activity centre are available in the college.
Faculty: The college provides highly qualified and experienced faculty members. They will guide you in your course completion and project. You will come to know all the hidden aspects of the course if you are curious about it. Faculty members are not going to leave any part of the course untouched. You can also publish a paper in B.Tech if you want.

The best college in terms of ROI and all overall development.
Placements: The college provides 100% placement with many job opportunities in various sector with good package recruiting in M. N. C companies like Reliance Jio and in PSUs also, the placement is provided in the educational institutions too. The college provides very good internship opportunities for the students.
Infrastructure: The college has excellent infrastructure with pure natural beauty. It has well-equipped classrooms, labs and all the facilities that a college can provide. The quality of classrooms, labs, hostels is at par. The food provided in the canteen is also very nice. Along with that there are many shops for snacks and other food items.
Faculty: The faculty present in the college is highly qualified and has vast knowledge about various subjects. The pedagogy is of high level and is very innovative. The student-faculty ratio is 10:1 which provides lots of opportunity to interact and learn. The curriculum is also very good.
Other: There has been many big events conducted in the college and many famous celebrity has visited the college. The campus crowd is also very much and there are many scholarship facilities provided to the students. The hostel and campus facilities is very beautiful.

A place where knowledge of your will take u to placement despite the book knowledge.
Placements: There were about 20 placements from my batch and around 16 from my seniors batch. 35 percent student got placed. The highest package received is 8 lacs with the lowest package of 3.5 lacs. Out of 20 placed, 3 of them got PPO through internship. From total, 5 of them are in core technical field and 3 are placed in colleges as Faculty and 4 are placed in IIT-JEE coaching, and 8 are in IT sector. 3 students got internship at same place in Bangalore with 25000 stipend and all 3 got PPO of 6 lacs with 1 lacs each year as bonus if work for completing one year for 3 years. Placement cell is supportive working but for us (M.Tech. ). Very less core companies came for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The 2 lecture halls have Wi-Fi connections with Labs and Department s having both Wi-Fi and LAN connections. There is central hospital, one mandir, two library -one of which is among one of the largest library made in India, 2 grounds, 1 sports complex,1 student activity center. Labs are good and working. Many new instruments are regularly brought. Hostels are good well maintained, cleaning done regularly. Food is average in hostels and canteen food is good to eat. No, there is issues related to infrastructure but 1-2 hostels are little far to lecture hall and Departments but have bus service that every 20 minutes.
Faculty: Teachers are fully helpful and are qualified. Teaching quality like orientation, board management speaking for some faculty members are very good and for others on an average. I Didn't got industry experience but few of studends of my batch have and some are doing projects in CSIR. Student to teacher ratio is now 8:3 in my Department. Curriculum is now changed for new coming students as specialisation is introduced from next year 2018, but there are some interesting subjects that will help students.
Other: 4-5 events are regularly each year are organized apart from departmental. Other small events keeps on going including sports, play, Hacking, regional events and many more. Campus can be seen crowd at evening time daily otherwise overall crowd its moderate. Overall campus is very good surrounded by greenery. Atmosphere is also not changes very much but have seasons. Students get many scholarship like UGC, NSP, state scholarship, GATE while others Toppers or other Institute/companies funded.

Review of IIT Dhanbad (ISM) - Indian Institute of Technology (ISM).
Placements: Usually, placements begin during starting of December. There are lots of companies that come for placements. Highly paid companies like Citibank, Barclays, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are on the list. They will be coming at the beginning to filter out the cream layer. There are companies like ICICI, Wipro, TCS, and Infosys, which come at the end to recruit students in bulk. There are core companies like Tejas Network, Sterlite, Tata Motors, etc visit our college to recruit the core students. The average package is between 8 LPA to 12 LPA, and the highest package offer is about 60 LPA.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum is very exhaustive, and students are always in the midst of things. Recently, our curriculum was reviewed, and my juniors have a completely new curriculum and courses. All the important and relevant courses are covered in this institute. The facilities in the hostel were good. We are provided with many activities there. There was a big TV room, table tennis, computer room, fine arts room, badminton court, and basketball court in each hostel. The mess food quality was good, and hygiene was well maintained by the college; that's the main thing I like about the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Everyone has done a Ph.D. and is doing a lot of national and international projects in their respective fields. They are also well-experienced in their fields and give their best to bring the best out of the students. They have also written many research papers and published them in top-class journals. Most of the lecturers also have industry experience. Exams are being conducted with ease and dedication. Labs are well structured and well maintained by the end of the day, and one feels relaxed.
