Great experience overall, with supportive teachers and a lively campus.
Placements: Out of around 93 civil students who registered, about two thirds 66% landed a job. Placements are decent but not 100%. The highest package is 65LPA this is an outlier, usually non core. The lowest package is around 6LPA. The average package is around 18 to19LPA. Big tech & non core companies like Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, etc., and core & infra side such as Larsen & Toubro L&T, Tata Projects, Adani Group, Afcons, NBCC, and HPCL/ONGC., visit the campus. Many civil students actually take non core jobs in tech, finance, and consulting, but core recruiters do come. IITG students together got 230 PPOs pre placement offers from internships. Typical internship companies are Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Tata Projects, Schlumberger, Adani, TVS, HPCL, etc.
Infrastructure: In civil engineering, we have all the labs and classrooms we need, with Wi-Fi and a great library to study from. I live in the Siang hostel. The rooms are decent with LAN and Wi-Fi, and the mess food is okay, with the canteen for variety when we get bored. The campus has a 24/7 medical center, so health is not a worry, and sports facilities are really good. Grounds, courts, gym, and even a swimming pool are available. Overall, its a pretty comfortable place to live and study.
Faculty: Most of the professors in civil are really qualified and quite helpful if you reach out, though, like anywhere, some classes feel more engaging than others. The curriculum itself is solid and covers the basics well, but to be honest, if you really want to feel industry ready, you need to back it up with internships or extra skills outside the classroom. Semester exams are usually on the tougher, concept based side, but they are not impossible. If you study regularly, you can manage fine, and almost everyone passes, probably around 90% or more.
Other: I chose Civil Engineering because I want to become an IES officer in the future. The best part of the course is that it gives a good foundation through labs and projects. I feel could be improved is adding more industry oriented training. Campus life is lively with big fests like Alcheringa and Techniche, a friendly crowd, and a beautiful location by the Brahmapur. The hostels, sports facilities, scholarships, and extracurricular activities make student life comfortable and balanced.

IIT University, Guwahati.
Placements: We are IIT students, so definitely each one got a placement. So many M.Tech students have joined the CSE course. Highest package is about 2.4 crore, and lowest package is 35 Lacs. So many top MNC companies came to our college, they are Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: In IIT, the best infrastructure is placed. We have labs for every department and for every course. We have all AC classrooms and a well-stocked library. We have Wi-Fi available here. We have so many canteens here, and a medical hospital is available. We also have sports for any year students.
Faculty: We have the best faculty here, and they are very friendly with us. They teach classes very nicely, and the explanation is super. We have weekly 3 to 4 events. Seniors conduct the events. We also join these events and participate. Our dean conducts exams very strictly.

IIT Guwahati - A great college .
Placements: Almost 85-90 percent students from my college got into one or more companies. Many big companies like IBM, Google, Amazon visits for the campus placement as it is an IIT. So we got benefit for being an IITian. The average package bagged by students in M.Teach was around 15LPA.
Infrastructure: The building and infrastructure of our college hostel is very great. Also the mess is great we get variety of food through out the week. The hostel is very NEET and clean also there is separate hostel for girls and boys and each hostel have security guards .
Faculty: The professor in our college were highly professional and knowledgeable. They helps a lot not only in our college exams but during the placement season. They possess high practical experience in the field of computer Science and engineering. I am very satisfied with the faculty here.
Other: As It is an IIT you will surely get benefitted from the name of college. Also there is a lot of on campus placement opportunities .

IIT Guwahati is an awesome college.
Placements: IIT Guwahati campus is very large. Since I am a Ph.D. scholar, the research facilities in this college are very good. Β AroundΒ 80-85% of students get placed in our course. The highest salary package in our college isΒ 57 LPA, the average salary package is 11 LPA, and the lowest salary package isΒ 6 LPA. Companies like Aditya Birla, Tata, and PhonePe recruit students from our course. Every student gets an internship in the 2nd or 3rd year through hard work.
Infrastructure: Facilities available in our hostel include Wi-Fi, drinking water, light, fans, and beds. Fully air-conditioned classrooms are available in our college. A central library is also available on our campus, and books can be issued by students. The quality of food in the mess is average. There are three canteens on our campus, and the fast food is good. We have a small ground to play different sports like volleyball, football, and cricket.
Faculty: Professors are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. All of them are PhD holders. The course curriculum is relevant to industry needs. Besides, one has to prepare themselves too. Each semester has 2 exams, mid-term and end-term. One needs to have at least 35% in order to pass the course.

It is a nice place with good vibes and makes memories to always be remembered.
Placements: Definitely more than 90% of students get placed every year, and the rest students opt for higher studies or choose other career paths. In the CSE, students rarely opt for other non-tech profiles, and students majorly focus on SDE, quantitative, developer, etc., roles. Few students go for embedded roles as well. The average package offered is more than 30 LPA.
Infrastructure: We do not have restricted internet. LAN points are present in every hostel room. The campus's main buildings have centralised Wi-Fi known as IITG-Connect, and we can log in through our ID and ERP password. Internet speed is mediocre. Each hostel has an AC library and gym of its own. There is a big central library and a gym for the whole campus. Classroom infrastructure is way beyond what we will see in other tier 2 colleges. There are canteens in every hostel. There are 10 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostels on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are genuinely always helpful, and we just need to approach them well. They are mostly always open to help. Courses are surely relevant after the renewal of the syllabus, and more relevance will be achieved by this year. Making industry-ready is something the students also must focus on and gather their skills to stand out to the public.
Other: There's a fest for every board and every genre. The biggest and the best cultural fest, named Alcheringa is organised in January to February. Then comes Techniche, the tech fest during September. Our college also organises a sports fest named Spirit and a welfare fest named Prayatna.

Beautiful college.
Placements: A very reputable institute of India in all dimensions, including placement. The placement was very good. The highest package offered was 20 LPA. The average package in our course was around 8 LPA. Around 80% of students received placement offers.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course were extremely good. It is one of the most beautiful institutions in India. Wi-Fi campus and library were present. A hostel with a family was available in this IIT. Food quality in the canteen and mess was also good.
Faculty: Professors were helpful, qualified, knowledgeable, and well-experienced in their respective domains of study. Teaching quality of our faculty members was extremely good. The course curriculum was relevant. The semester examinations were quite tough.
