IIT Jammu has drawn security guidelines to be followed by the teachers and faculty members. Some of the security instructions include:

The schedule of JEE Main counselling will be declared by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority after the declaration of the JEE Main result. The counselling will be conducted tentatively in the months of June and July. There will be a total of six rounds of counselling and seat allotment which will be conducted by JOSAA. Students who will appear in JEE Main 2024 and will obtain a valid score will be eligible to participate in the JEE Main counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs including IIT Jammu.
The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, closing rank was 10,005 in 2024. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, closing rank for female candidates was 18,177. Admission to B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering in IIT Kanpur is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. BTech at IIT Jammu is available across seven specialisations. IIT Jammu's UG courses include 20% seats (category wise) for IIT Jammu + IIM Jammu dual degree program (four-year BTech of IIT Jammu and two-year MBA of IIM Jammu). The transition to IIM Jammu MBA is to be opted by the end of the third year of the IIT Jammu BTech course. This is a direct transition to IIM Jammu MBA programme that too without CAT and is subject to having a minimum CGPA of 7.0 in the BTech course. All these specialisations are as follows:

Candidates who have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate (65% aggregate for SC/ST) are eligible to take admission in a BTech course of IIT Jammu. However, there is no minimum aggregate requirement to take the JEE Main exam. Aspirants must have the Class 12 pass certificate as well. The document is required for verification purposes at the time of admission and form filling.
Yes, GATE 2024 exam dates have been announced. IISc Bangalore will conduct the GATE 2024 exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. The GATE 2024 application form will release on Aug 24 on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The organising institute for GATE 2024 is IISc Bangalore. The exam will be conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Students will be required to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). This intake is incluseive of the Gender Neutral and Female-only (including Supernumerary) pools and is inclusive of all student categories, such as Open, Open-PwD, GEN-EWS, GEN-EWS-PwD, SC, SC-PWD, ST and ST-PWD, among others. Yes, you will get CSE at IIT Jammu with a JEE Advanced cutoff rank of 6000 if you belong to the General AI quota. However, you have to wait till the last round, as the cutoff ranks are generally higher in the initial rounds. For the unreserved category, the IIT Jammu CSE cutoff 2025 was 5988 in the
