For all the seven specialisations offered under the BTech course of IIT Jammu, a total of 280 seats are available. This intake is as per the official college seat matrix released by JOSAA 2023. The category-wise bifurcation of these seats are as follows:

At the time of JEE Main registration and final seat allotment via JOSAA students must keep the following documents and information ready for a smooth application process:

• Valid email-id and mobile number
• Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams
• Scanned copy of category certificate (if applicable)
• Scanned copy of PwD certificate (if applicable)
• Scanned photograph and signature as per the specification mentioned by the NTA
• Net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI details for application fee payment

The total tuition fee for IIT Jammu is INR 8 lakh. Other than the tuition fee, students have to pay other one-time charges and those who opt for hostel facilities are required to pay an extra amount for it. To answer the second question of whether IIT Jammu BTech fee is expensive or not, the fee for all IITs is almost similar to each other. However, it is comparatively less than other top BTech colleges such as BITS where the BTech tuition fee goes up till INR 19 lakh. 

Students pursuing a course from IIT Jammu are open to scholarships. The institute offers a Merit-cum-Means scholarship to Gen/ OBC-NCL/ EWS category students. The students recieve INR 1,000 per month along with refund of tuition fee under this scholarsip.

As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. IIT Jammu BTech admission process commences with the release of JEE Main applications. The registrations for the session I exam are expected to begin from Nov and end in Dec.
