The institute has great infrastructure and facilities and is one of the well-emerging third-gen IIT.
Placements: 70% of students were placed in our course. Almost all students secured internships from our course. The majority of them were placed in other IITs, small-scale industries, as well as companies like BPCL, RIL, and many other chemical industries. Students also gain greater exposure by participating in hackathons.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is rated 4.5 out of 5. The infrastructure is top-notch, with newly established hostels and well-facilitated. The quality of food available is rated 3.8 out of 5 (less spicy), and hygiene is great. Sports and Games are highly encouraged and well-facilitated. Students selected for inter-IIT events receive greater privileges, and the coaches do a perfect job in their respective fields.
Faculty: Teachers are top-notch and influential in their respective industries. The curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the real world. Semester exams depend on the professors, and their difficulty ranges from medium to hard. The pass percentage varies from 30% and also depends on the professor. Grading is most likely relative.
Other: Festivals are well celebrated, and having AIMS, IIM, and IIT in a single city provides more development opportunities. With a set lower limit of CGPA, students can directly pursue an MBA at IIM. The I2EDC and I3C functions run efficiently, and technical fests create a hub of connections with top industry leaders.

An Enriching Journey with Excellent Facilities, Supportive Faculty, and Great Opportunities.
Placements: I got placed in Meesho as a Business Analyst. Around 80 of students from my course were placed. The highest package offered was INR 25 LPA, the lowest was 6 LPA and the average was 12 LPA. Top recruiters included Meesho Reliance and Vedanta. About 70 percent of students got internships in companies like ONGC, Reliance and Tata Steel. The top roles offered were Process Engineer, Data Analyst, and Business Analyst.
Infrastructure: Our Chemical Engineering department at IIT Jammu has modern classrooms with projectors well-equipped labs a library with a good collection of books and campus-wide Wi Fi. The hostel facilities are clean and well-maintained, with spacious rooms and 24/7 Wi Fi. The mess offers decent food with a variety of options and the canteen serves snacks and beverages. Medical facilities include an on-campus health center with basic care. Sports facilities are excellent with grounds for cricket, football and courts for indoor games.
Faculty: The teachers in our Chemical Engineering department are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. The teaching quality is good, with a focus on both theory and practical applications. The course curriculum is relevant and includes industry-oriented topics, making students job-ready. Semester exams are moderate challenging, but regular study and practice can help students perform well. The pass percentage is usually around 95 percent showing that most students are able to clear the exams without much difficult.
Other: I chose Chemical Engineering because it combines problem solving with real-world applications in industries like energy and manufacturing. The best things about the course are the hands-on lab work and the wide career opportunities. I wish there was more focus on modern software tools and interdisciplinary projects. Our campus hosts fun events and fests, and the crowd is diverse and friendly. Connectivity is improving, and the surroundings are peaceful. Scholarships and extracurricular, like clubs and sports add to the vibrant campus life.

A decision to join in IIT Jammu.
Placements: Approximately 60% of students get placed in the chemical discipline. I don't know the exact statistics for 2024, but based on 2023 data, the highest salary package offered was 53 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are mainly petroleum companies like Hindustan Petroleum, among others.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good, with average food quality. Wi-Fi is available, but the speed is not very fast—it's average. There is a water cooler facility and a table tennis table in the hostel. Rooms are well-lit, and LAN ports are available in the rooms. Rooms are of two occupancies for first and second-year students.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the quality of teaching is extremely skillful and good. Teachers have completed their Ph.D. and M.Tech from various colleges and IITs. Course curriculum is aligned with those of IITs. I believe the course makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are more difficult than those at other private colleges, and the pass percentage is approximately 72% to 90%.
Other: As you all know, the Chemical Engineering branch is growing and is better than Civil Engineering and Materials Engineering, which is why I chose this course. Campus is not very crowded, as there are only 240 students in the first year of the B.Tech undergraduate.

IIT Jammu - Indian Institute of Technology review.
Placements: The placement percentage is 100%, with the highest package being 60 lakhs and the lowest package being 8 lakhs. Top recruiting companies include Unilever and Microsoft. On-campus placements are also good, with many top companies visiting and offering very nice packages.
Infrastructure: There are watercoolers and washing machines in every wing of the hostel at IIT Jammu. The library is very big, fully air-conditioned, and quiet. The hostel rooms are comfortable, and a regular bus service is provided to take students to the academic block.
Faculty: IIT Jammu has very good and experienced faculty, but the only thing is that they don't teach well. The difficulty level of semester exams is very high, which makes it difficult to score well. However, it is possible to pass the exams by studying one or two days before the exam.
Other: The college is ragging free.

IIT Jammu - Indian Institute of Technology review.
Placements: IIT Jammu is a typical third-generation IIT. It has been an average kind of year for placements. However, the placement system seems impressive and assuring enough that it will be improved by the time I graduate in 2028.
Infrastructure: Being newly built, its infrastructure and structure are well thought out and efficient. We have every facility needed by any student, and medical facilities and sports are very good. Being a third-generation IIT has the advantage of letting every individual play. The mess hall serves above-average food, which means they make some good food as well as some not so good food.
Faculty: The teachers in my branch are not up to the mark, which may be due to their lack of experience. They try their best, but they can't match the level of what an IIT teacher should be like. Another problem is language; they have good knowledge but are not able to communicate it effectively to us.

College infrastructure is very developed.
Placements: About 67% of students are placed last year from this college. Top multinational companies gives very good packages to students. They offer high packages. Almost 80 percent students got internships from my course in many good companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi problem is very weak and library system is very good and very interesting. My collage labs are very good and my collage labs are very good and very big. Full items are available, and the lab teachers are very good and they give good explanation experiments.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They are too qualified and teach very, very well. The course curriculum is very relevant. The exams are very much difficult. It happens monthly; they are too tough; it is very difficult to score well in it.
Other: I didn't choose this course; I got this in josaa choice filling. The events and fests happen very much and students enjoy a lot here.

Although it's a new IIT, it gives tough competition to 2G IITs. Placements are getting better.
Placements: 66% of students are placed in this year and the highest package offered was 35 lakhs, 15 lakhs was the average package offered, and the lowest package offered was 5 lakhs. IBM is the company that recruits the highest number of students. Students got internships at Google.
Infrastructure: So, there's a new academic block on our campus and it has the best infrastructure among all 3G's and 2G's IITs. WiFi also works here but some sites are restricted . The quality of food is decent and there's a night canteen too. The best sports facilities are available here.
Faculty: All of the faculty of IIT Jammu are highly qualified to teach in an institution like IIT, and they teach like professionals. Yes, the course curriculum is appreciated by me; it makes students industry-ready. They are quite hard as other IITs, as I talked to my other IIT friends.
Other: I chose chemical engineering because here at IIT Jammu I get a chance to do an internship in my core branch . More faculty should be joining the course . Fests are like festivals here.

Placement is not so well as compared to older iits but it has a good infrastructure as it build
Placements: In year 2022, highest package for chemical and CSE was 52 LPA. The current scenario of the placement is that package of CSE, MNC, EE, CH, CE,MT are in order of their packages. Companies like Atalasian, Nvidia ,are also coming here . In this college there is another specific group known as CDS to meet up the student with suitable companies.
Infrastructure: Although college infrastructure is under construction, old block consists of a library and well conditioned classrooms. The new classroom consist of evrything which is required for a classroom. The new block is under construction, it will be fine in about 3-4 year.
Faculty: Faculty is all right here although some of the faculty are not much expert as compared to older IIT but overall the other sessional program is fine. But some of the faculty are well in their research. Overall you have to study on your own. The teacher provide you only guideline.
Other: Although it is a new IIT, but there are a lot of clubs like robotics , coding ,artistic, musical ,dancing etc.
