Good college in tier 3 IITs.

Placements: In electrical engineering, the last time that is 2024 batch had an astonishing record of 87% placed. The highest offered was around 50 LPA and the average was 18 LPA. I don't know about recruiting companies but so many companies come to recruit. Around 70% were given internships from my course.

Infrastructure: The facilities are quite good. They provide full-time Wi-Fi. Labs have so much equipment. Classrooms are neat. Even the library has a vast collection of books. The quality of food is below average as you cannot expect anything much better because it is located in Jammu and I am a south Indian who likes to eat more spicy, they cook food which is sweet. Medical facilities are also good. They also conduct good events based on sports and games.

Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful, qualified, and highly knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also very good. The given course curriculum is also relevant. It makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are also average like if you study it would be easier. The pass percentage is 95%.

Weather and studies are excellent.

Placements: Till now, 70% of students from our branch are placed. MediaTech is the top recruiting company. Nearly 90% of students have secured internships. The highest package offered till now is 47 LPA. Top roles are Electrical Engineer, Marine Engineer, and Business Analyst. That’s all about our college.

Infrastructure: Our college has excellent hostels for boys, with AC in single rooms with a single person. Labs are also good. Food in the mess is good, and the canteens are also good enough. Classrooms are one of the best I have ever seen. It is fully high-tech and pleasant for studies.

Faculty: Faculty here are excellent, both for Electrical and other departments too. It is a great opportunity to learn from them. Curriculum is very good. There is a stress-free and happy environment. Faculty members are more interactive with the students at any time. It is a great opportunity to study here.

Have a look at IIT Jammu, a new IIT having pretty good performance compared to other 3rd gen IITs.

Placements: Last year about 60% were placed on and off campus. Placements are pretty average here; nothing like crores of packages. The highest package is 45 lacs. The average package is 19 lacs. The lowest package is 11 lacs. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Qualcomm, Samsung, Nvidia, etc. About 70% of students get international and domestic internships as we have collaborations with the Taiwan study center also. Top roles offered are software engineer, business consultant, web developer, etc.

Infrastructure: We have very good infrastructure, new buildings, AC classes, all types of equipped laboratories, and good Wi-Fi connection. The library is not up to expectations; it is quite small with low capacity. Mess food is average, sometimes really bad, sometimes good; special dinner is quite good. Medical facilities are up to the marks; basic medical facilities are available within the campus, and for any major problem, a 24/7 ambulance is available for the nearest good hospital. A new gymkhana is opening in a few months, giving absolutely all good sports like badminton, basketball, and volleyball (still we have courts). In the new gymkhana, there are more. We have 2 fully equipped gyms.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, but I personally didn't like most teachers way of explaining. The curriculum is midway; it has good modern courses like AI and also old-school subjects. Definitely, students can't rely only on college for placements; we have to keep learning new technologies by ourselves too. Semester exams are again not so difficult to score; if you do all questions given by the teacher in tutorials, you can easily be in the toppers of the class. Pass percentage this semester was 30% in most courses.

Other: This was what I was getting based on my JEE advance rank; that's why I chose this. It's an IIT, so it always has an edge compared to other colleges. Many improvements can be made, such as better explanations of topics, better timetables, etc. Main events Anhad and many other events keep happening throughout the year; recently we have Convoquor and Pahal as sports events. Good scholarships for economically weak students are provided.

College is very much recommended.

Placements: This college has a very nice placement record. Many top multinational companies come here and give good packages to students. In the 3rd year, many companies provide internships to the students and many of them, after seeing the work done by them, give them pre-placement offers.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this new IIT is very bad, and the quality of the facilities is poor. The wifis are very nice, and the range is good everywhere. The food quality is too bad. They provide a variety of foods, but the taste is very bad.

Faculty: The teachers at this college are very knowledgeable and qualified, and they teach very well. However, the course is very tough and the semester exams are too difficult to pass. The course is relevant to the industry and prepares students to be industry-ready.

Other: Events happen very frequently here.

My college life was so good, I enjoyed it with great passion.

Placements: In our Electrical Engineering course at IIT Jammu, around 80% of students were placed. The highest package offered was 35 LPA, the lowest was 8 LPA, and the average package was 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Tata Power, L&T, and Siemens. Nearly 70% of students got internships in companies like Tata Steel, Schneider Electric, and BHEL. The top roles offered were Design Engineer, Electrical Consultant, and Project Manager.

Infrastructure: The department has modern labs, smart classrooms, a well-stocked library, and strong Wi-Fi connectivity. Hostels are clean with spacious rooms and good Wi-Fi. Other: I chose Electrical Engineering because I am passionate about circuits, power systems, and renewable energy. The best thing about the course is the practical learning through advanced labs and industry projects. However, adding more electives subjects and industrial training opportunities would make it better. IIT Jammu hosts vibrant events and fests that bring the campus to life. The campus crowd is friendly and diverse, with a focus on teamwork. Connectivity to the city is improving, and the surroundings are peaceful. Scholarships are available for deserving students, and extracurricular activities, including sports and clubs, provide a good balance to academics.

OR Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with minimum of five subjects and be within the category-wise (category as per the central list) top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination. Other mandatory Criteria: Candidate who had appeared in Class 12th or equivalent examination for the first time in 2022 or earlier, are NOT eligible to appear irrespective of the combination or number of subjects attempted/offered. However, if the exam Board of Class 12th or equivalent declared the results for the academic year 2021-22 on or after September 21, 2022, then the candidates of that Board who appeared for their Class 12th or equivalent exam in 2022 are also eligible appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024, provided they meet all the other eligibility criteria. In case the exam Board of class 12th or equivalent declared the results for the academic year 2021-22 before September 21, 2022 but the result of a particular candidate was withheld, then the candidate will not be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024.
