The college is good considering academics, hostels, and placement in tech.

Placements: This year there is approximately 80% placement in IIT Jammu. The highest package on-campus is 45 LPA while the lowest is 6 LPA. However, one student got a package of 85 LPA off-campus. The average package is 13 LPA. I am from the MnC branch which is relatively new. None of the batches of MnC has passed out but it has a very good scope as per the current scenario. CSE has a 100% placement start. Talking about internships, you will get an ample amount of opportunities and college support too.

Infrastructure: The classroom is air-conditioned and there are 2 libraries. There is a study hall too in which you can go and study. You will get institute Wi-Fi 24/7 in the hostel as well as classroom and library. The hostel has some study rooms and TT table setup. The food in the mess ranges from average to good depending upon the mess you get. Talking about sports, there is one football ground (one in the making too), one basketball court, one volleyball court, cricket nets, 2 badminton halls (one indoor and one outdoor),2 gyms, and some indoor games setup (pool, carrom, etc.).

Faculty: The faculty members are well-qualified and easily approachable in most of the cases. However, in some courses, you have to study on your own. The course curriculum is similar to that of other IITs. The semester exam can range from very easy to very tough depending upon the professor. Approximately there is 85%-95% of pass percentage.

Other: The campus is currently in the developing stage. So, you may find it small compared to other IITs. The recent fest was Anhad in which some major names were Pranav Sharma and Monali Thakur. In another event, Madhur Virli had come to perform. Talking about sports.

IIT Jammu: Superb college for IIT with best infrastructure and facility.

Placements: 85% of students were placed in my course. The highest package was about 30-40 lacs. The lowest package was about 20-25 lacs. Top recruitment companies were TCS, Goldman Sachs, etc. Almost 80 to 90% of students got internships from my course in companies like TCS, etc.

Infrastructure: Faculty members are always educated and acknowledged in the first structure; super labs and classrooms are hi-tech, and the library is good. Facilities in my hostel are of superb quality; the food available in the mess is good, and canteen medical facilities are superb. Sports and games are also superb.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. Teaching qualities of these teachers are super personal attention is provided. This course is curriculum-relevant; it makes students industry-ready. Semester exam makes students prepare for final exams.

Other: This course is related to my field, which I like. The best thing about my course is my favorite subject: math and computers.

I am a bit dissatisfied with the mess facilities.

Placements: 67 percent of students were placed in my college. The highest package of my college is 55 LPA, the average package is 18 lakhs, and the lowest package is 5 lakhs. The top recruitment was from Axis Bank. Our course is new so no internship till now.

Infrastructure: We have nearly 70-80 acres of land in use; we have proper Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms; this year we have inaugurated our new lecture hall complex, new academic hall complex, we have a new auditorium, etc. We have good sports facilities.

Faculty: We have very well educated teachers, most of whom have done their PhDs, their quality of teaching is average , our course curriculum is a bit irrelevant, I don't know why we should study thermodynamics, and our exams are not very difficult generally .

Other: I was unaware of my branch. I came to know about this branch by the internet. Some of the best things about my course are that we get some of the highest packages. I want that my college should remove thermodynamics from my course.

Absolutely satisfied with college as a result of young, qualified professors, placements, and fests.

Placements: In 2023, nearly 85% of all eligible students will be placed on campus. The highest package was INR 51 LPA, the lowest was INR 5 LPA, and the average was INR 17 LPA. All the top companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Accenture visited our campus last year. As this is IIT, a lot of internship opportunities are provided.

Infrastructure: As IIT Jammu is a 3rd generation IIT, it's a new IIT. Though the campus size is small now, it has a very good infrastructure. Wi-Fi is provided by the college only, and a library is available on campus for books. Very good sports facilities were also there with coaches. A free medical unit is also on campus. Mess food is not that good.

Faculty: Every teacher is well qualified here. Some of them had done Masters from IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, etc. As a third-generation IIT, professors are well understood. In IIT, everything is relatable. Passing semester exams is not that difficult if you study well.

Other: I choose mathematics and computing as the current generation is running behind computer science, and I also love mathematics a lot. With my JEE advance rank, I got this course. In IIT Jammu, various sports festivals are organized every year, of which Renao Fest is the most famous. The campus is located 20 kilometers from Jammu city, making it convenient to visit nearby. Various scholarship schemes are also provided by IIT Jammu.
