IIIT Bhopal placement process 2026 was ongoing and data released was updated till March 2026. The overall highest package offered in 2026 decreased by 32% as compared with 2025. Average package recorded this year increased by over 18%. Till date, 78.66% students have been placed in 2026 whereas the final placement percentage recorded in 2025 was 96.59%.

The college with mixed reviews.

Placements: The percentage of placements is very good, and last year, 86% of students got placed with an average package of Rs. 1,800,000 and a median of Rs. 1,910,000, with the highest placement of 8.6 LPA. Additionally, 70-80% of students got internships last year with major companies like PayPal, Amazon, Meesho, and Flipkart.

Infrastructure: Hostels are just okay. You can enjoy the hostel, but all hostels are only for 1 year. The Wi-Fi facilities are not good, but the classrooms are very good. We have 4 departments: CSE, ECE, Maths, and Physics. The mess food is not up to the mark sometimes, but sometimes it is delicious.

Faculty: The curriculum is good, but not industry-focused. You have to do coding and academics side by side, and you have to qualify for exams with more than 8.5 CGPA for good placements. The exams are sometimes tough and sometimes easy, and the teachers are highly qualified and experienced.

College is under MANIT campus so placement is good but campus is not very cool enough.

Placements: The top packages are generally placed in ECE branch or CSE. 80-85% of IT students are placed (varies slightly year to year). The highest package is 30 LPA to 35 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Average package is 14 LPA to 15 LPA. Overall, the highest offers can be higher, but the above figure reflects IT-specific outcome.

Infrastructure: Boys hostel is available only for 1st year, and it is very far from college. IIIT Bhopal does not currently have its own permanent hostel on a standalone campus. First-year students get hostel rooms at BHEL hostels near Bhopal, with college bus transport to academic blocks. Academic infrastructure is solid for coursework and projects. Residential facilities (hostel + mess) are adequate but not excellent. Permanent campus infrastructure is still under construction. Students often move to PGs after their first year for comfort.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated, and some are helpful but knowledgeable. It makes a student industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult but we can crack them after 1 to 2 weeks of study. Most teachers are well-qualified (many with PhDs or industry experience). Professors generally explain concepts clearly and are approachable outside class. Teaching includes theory, programming labs, and project guidance. Some adjunct/visiting faculty from industry also contribute to special topics.

Other: This course is really helpful as it is something like computer science branch. It is under MANIT campus so events and fests are not bad enough.

Review of IIIT Bhopal - Indian Institute of Information Technology.

Placements: The top recruiting companies are Amazon, PayPal, and the highest paying company is Atlassian, with the highest package of 85 LPA, and the average package is 17 LPA, with a minimum of 9 LPA. Approximately 85 percent of students got placed in good companies.

Infrastructure: We do not have a good Infrastructure in college. Hostels are taken from BHEL. The college campus is in MANIT, but IIIT is making a new campus of 65 acres. I think it will be completed by 2030, maybe 2027, for JEE Main students with campus and hostel facilities.

Faculty: Faculty are very good in their own domain of subject. They are good enough to teach all of us, and here the examinations are tougher than those in other colleges in India, like IIT and NIT, and all are industry-oriented. The passing percentage is just 30 marks, that's it. All courses are industry-related

Best IIIT for placements, scholarships, and facilities.

Placements: I am in my 3rd year now. Almost 50 students have been placed for an internship. Even I got a Visa internship, and the CP (Competitive Programming ) is the best for this college as it is an IIIT. The highest placement till now is 2.25 LPA, and the average is nearly 18 LPA for ECE and 22 LPA for CSE, which is less compared to the previous year.

Infrastructure: Our college is not so good in infrastructure, which is the reason many people don't prefer it, but it has good labs, library, and classrooms since it is a temporary college in NIT Bhopal, that's why not everything is good, but who needs a good building for good knowledge.

Faculty: Exams are quite easy, which is the best part of this college, as you don't have to focus on core subjects and can focus on job roles. The course curriculum is the best as you can choose electives. Semester papers can be skipped if you are not in the mood to score well, so it can be taken later.

Other: I am enrolled in the Electronics programme, a good part of which is that you can get into PSUs easily through college campus placement. I want to ensure that the latest technology is implemented in this course. There are a total of 4 courses and 2 fests every year.

IIIT Bhopal college review.

Placements: The placement scene is looking pretty good for IT students. We've got a solid average salary package of 14.7 LPA with big names like ServiceNow and Amazon coming in to recruit. The highest salary goes to four lucky students who snagged 34.4 LPA from PayPal for software development roles. 81 students landed jobs which gives us a placement rate of around 60 percent. I mean, it's not the best but considering the recession hitting colleges everywhere we're hoping things will bounce back. The lowest salary offered is 3.3 LPA, just to give you an idea.

Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure covers all the basic needs clean water, spacious science labs, an auditorium for events, a playground for sports, and a well-stocked library. The classrooms are tidy, and there's transportation and on-campus housing for students who need it. The mess is clean, and the food is decent a few more options would be nice.

Faculty: The faculty and staff do their jobs well. First-year classes felt similar to high school which made shifting to college easier. The yearly tests were not very difficult. The college also appreciates top performers and recognizes their achievements.

Placements: The placements are very good. The average package is about 18 LPA, the maximum package is 8.5 LPA, and the lowest package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies include IBM, Amazon, PayPal, and others. The internship opportunities are very good, with the average internship package being 1 LPA.

Infrastructure: The indian Institute of Technology Bhopal (IIT Bhopal) is located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. It includes contemporary campus with modern academic blocks, residential hostels for students, staff housing, and well equipped laboratories. The campus is designed to support teaching and research in a variety of engineering and science disciplines. Facilities include Wi-Fi-enabled lecture halls, smart classrooms, a central library, sports grounds, and dining/mess.
