Great coding culture with supportive peers, but limited events and no permanent campus.
Placements: Placements are good for the 2023 batch, but due to the recession, they have dipped a bit in 2024, with the highest package at 28 LPA and an average of 12 LPA (CSE) and 11 LPA (ECE), with the lowest at 6 LPA. Top companies include NVidia, InfoEdge, NextTurn, Google (1 intern), Swiggy, Cognizant, TCS, IBM, HP, etc. The roles offered include SDE, Cloud, Full Stack, etc. About 75% of students from the 2024 batch got placed. Internship opportunities were fewer last year but are increasing, with many companies coming, including NVidia, offering on-campus internships this year.
Infrastructure: Due to the absence of its campus, the college infrastructure is currently average, with basic facilities such as a library, smart classrooms, and well-equipped labs. The college is currently operating from the ATTC BSNL campus, but a new campus is expected to be constructed by January 2026, where you will have access to much better infrastructure, which cannot be expected right now. Hostels are excellent, as 4 BHK flats are provided, each with 2 washrooms and a kitchen. You can use an induction, kettle, and other appliances without worries. The mess food is also better than that of other IIITs and NITs.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, well-qualified, and supportive, especially in the ECE department. The course curriculum, as available online, is updated and very relevant, with no irrelevant subjects. There are only two labs, one for CSE and one for ECE. The class schedule is also not too hectic, allowing you to work on yourself and get ample time. Teachers also provide support other than their subject for personal development. Exams are moderate, and you can score well by studying just one week before, even with zero prior knowledge.
Other: I chose this course out of my interest in electronics, and the very good thing is the supportive seniors and a strong technical society in the college. Also, there is no strict attendance policy, you can skip classes, pay a minimal fine, and still take exams, which provides ample time for developing your skills. The crowd is good, and everyone is engaged in their field and supportive. There are fewer events here due to the lack of a campus, but one techno-cultural fest, and some events occur throughout the year.

IIIT Ranchi college review.
Placements: Placement is fairly good enough here. The highest package was 83 LPA, the lowest is 7 LPA, and top recruiting companies include Atlassian, Nvidia, Jio, Infohedge, etc. Students are mostly offered SDE roles here in these companies. Internships are not provided by the college; you have to do it yourself.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum is good in general; it is revised as per current market trends and needs. Every year, it gets updated. We have very nice classrooms, Wi-Fi is there in all of the campus, and we have a library as well. The hostel has Wi-Fi, tables, chairs, and good sports facilities, and you can have fun for sure there.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful throughout the course, and they are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant as it is based on current market trends. Semester exams are of moderate level here. It is easy to pass the exams if you focus on the class notes and in the class.
Other: I wish that facilities are improved in the near future, like getting a new main campus, as it is operating from some other place now. They can also improve mess facilities, as it is jeopardized, tbh.

Faculty and infrastructure are not good.
Placements: Recent placements are not good, like only 20-25 placements have been there till now and around 28 lakhs is the highest package on-campus. If you're really joining this college, be ready to do everything on your own and focus for off-campus placements only. I don't know what will be in the future
Infrastructure: Labs, wifi, library, etc.—everything is there. Sports facilities are also good. They don't have a particular ground for every sport but yes, they will try their best to support you in participating in sports events and you will enjoy it too. And about mess, it depends on you.
Faculty: Faculty is ok, as I already said, you have to do things on your own, then only you could excel your exams or any other academic event. Teachers will help you but all the things lie up to you. Only they will provide material. You have to study it. As such, no problem with faculty and curriculum.

My view of the Indian engineering colleges.
Placements: The placements are good, they are up to the mark. Amazon, Google, and Facebook hire students from the Indian Institute of information technology, Ranchi. The highest package offered is 83 LPA which is very good in recession. But the future doesn’t look good as there are no great placements from the batch of 2023.
Infrastructure: There is no permanent campus of the college, so there is no great infrastructure. The permanent campus will still take at least 2 years to complete. The present campus is not great but can be resided in. Hostel life is not great. The mess is at subpar level.
Faculty: Teachers are not exceptional but they are good enough. Exams are not very difficult but the papers mostly contain questions from what the teachers teach in the classes, one can easily score a good GPA if they are attentive in the classes. Faculty is friendly, students often play sports such as badminton, cricket and volleyball.

Improving but is manageable.
Placements: This year, the placement was not as decent as it used to be due to the recession faced by our seniors. But still, the one who got placed got a decent package. Normally, students in their 2nd and 3rd years get internships. The highest on-campus offer was 28 LPA and the median was about 11–13 LPA.
Infrastructure: Currently, the institute does not have it's own campus. Students reside at the Khelgaon Complex and the freshers are still at the JUT Campus in Namkum. The overall facilities here are good, like decent wi-fi speed, proper rooms and good maintenance, along with better food.
Faculty: The faculty here is average. They are qualified and knowledgeable. Subjects like Professional Communication make the students industrially fit and ready, along with subjects like ECE. But here it is, CSE enthusiasts, don't let yourself down, because we have some good teachers in this field too. Some CSE subjects like discrete mathematics and introduction to algorithms also have good teachers in them.
Other: I would like to tell you that the college is still in its building phase so don't come with great expectations but one thing is guaranteed: talented students and a healthy JNR-SNR relationship. And it is the students who will make the college better and better.
