The ISDI Challenge Exam Pattern 2025 - The Indian School of Design and Innovation (ISDI) will release the exam pattern for the ISDI Challenge 2025 exam.

The exam pattern will outline the question paper structure and exam format. 

Candidates appearing in the ISDI Challenge 2025 exam must consult the exam pattern to get insights into the question type, marking scheme, number of questions asked, and weightage. 

The exam pattern for the ISDI Challenge varies depending on the course in which admission is sought at the design college. Candidates can go through the ISDI Challenge test pattern for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) design courses offered at the college.

Candidates registering for the exam have to upload a Portfolio/Design Project and appear in DAT by December 7, 2025. The interview is conducted from December 9-15, 2025.

ISDI Challenge 2025 Exam Pattern

The ISDI 2025 challenge is divided into the following parts:

1. Portfolio submission or Design Project completion:(Weightage - 40%)

The initial step of the ISDI Challenge is uploading your portfolio. It can include a range of media such as drawings, paintings, sculptures, performances, graphic designs, animations, photographs, or sketchbook pages. You are advised to upload 8 – 10 pieces of your best works. Upload your work in the form of either a PDF file, multiple JPEG/JPG, or a consolidated zip file, not exceeding 500 MB. Portfolio uploads can be used by ISDI for training purposes. In case, aspirants don’t have a portfolio, they have another option to complete a Design Project. This year, students have to create a visual work inspired by any ONE of the given themes:

  • One World
  • Tracing Nature
  • Translating Tomorrow

All forms of media are acceptable—drawing, video, photography, sculpture, 3D work, collage, and digital images. Aspirants have to submit a project by writing a 500-word essay describing how your ideas developed.

2. Design Aptitude Test - DAT: (Weightage - 30%)

The second stage of the ISDI Challenge is the Online Design Aptitude Test. The multiple-choice examination is to test student's aptitude and knowledge related to design. This section of the ISDI challenge will be divided into 4 Parts:

Note: Students are allotted 60 mins for this section. One must attempt all questions. There is no negative marking. Online Design Aptitude Test must be completed uninterrupted, within the stipulated time, to proceed to the next section.

3. Online Interview: (Weightage - 30%)

The 3rd part of the ISDI Challenge is the Online Interview. After successful completion of part 1 and part 2, the institute's Admissions team will get in touch with you to conduct 25 minutes of interview over a phone call or video call with one of their instructors.

ISDI 2025 Syllabus

Candidates appearing in the ISDI Challenge 2025 exam are recommended to carefully go through the exam syllabus, which will include the section-wise topics one needs to prepare for the ISDI Challenge 2025 exam:

For Portfolio or Design project:

  • Visual communication skills – through drawing, making, or digital manipulation
  • Presentation skills
  • Understanding and manipulation of materials and processes particular to the discipline of choice (e.g. pattern-cutting, website construction, industrial manufacturing processes)
  • drawings, paintings, sculptures, performances, graphic designs, animations, photographs skills

For Design Aptitude Test (DAT)

  • Lateral thinking, conceptual thinking, analytical and critical thinking
  •  General Awareness & Logical Reasoning
  • Analytical Thinking and Storytelling skills
  • Enhanced perception and observation skills
  • The ability to generate new ideas: creativity

For Interview round

  • Communication skills 
  • Visual appreciation skills and presence of mind
  • Awareness of exam details
  • Basic industry knowledge
  • Awareness of self-work

ISDI Challenge Admit Card 2025

The Indian School of Design and Innovation (ISDI) will release admit cards soon after the registration process is over. Admit cards will be released to all successfully registered candidates.

The candidate can download the admit card in online mode from the admission portal using their login credentials.
