CEED 2026 Answer Key - IIT Bombay released final answer key of CEED 2026 for Part-A and Question paper on January 28, 2026. The final key was prepared considering objections submitted by candidates against the draft key. IIT Bombay releases answer keys for Part A. No keys is released for Part B. 

Draft answer key of CEED 2026 Part A was released on January 19, 2026. The last date for uploading comments about the draft answer key for Part A was January 22, 2026. It contains the official answers to questions asked in the CEED entrance exam. The keys are used to calculate probable scores and assess the chances of admission. Candidates were allowed to challenge the draft answer key.

No, mock tests are not the same as CEED question or sample papers. 

It is because the main purpose of the mock tests is to help the candidate get acquainted with the exam pattern and system, especially if the exam is conducted in an online mode. The mocks will allow the candidate get accustomed with the exam mode, navigation, scoring, and answering patterns. To some extent it also may help the candidate improve problem-solving and time-managment skills, which are typically the exclusive domain of CEED sample papers.

Additionally, mock tests are meant to be taken in the last few days of the exam. On the other hand, sample papers are typically solved even in the early stages of exam preparation.

The candidate can download previous years’ question papers for the CEED exam from CEED 2026 - IIT Bombay admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in. Alternatively, the candidate can also download the question papers from this page.

Candidate can download question papers along with the answer keys.  Question paper and answer keys for the current academic session (or CEED 2026) will only be available after the exam has been conducted. 

Previous years’ question papers can be used by the candidate to improve their problem-solving ability and improve conceptual understanding.

CEED Final Score can be calculated using the formula given below. 

CEED FINAL Score = 0.25 x Marks obtained in Part A + 0.75 x Marks obtained in Part B.

How to Raise Objections Against the CEED Answer Key?

Candidates are advised to go through the CEED 2026 question paper along with the draft answer key and submit queries in the Candidate portal (If any). Candidates should add comments only through the Candidates portal if there is any objection to the CEED 2026 Answer Key.

  • IIT Bombay will review all valid comments received from candidates.
  • Changes, if required, will be incorporated in the Final answer key.
  • The final answer key will be released after the review process.
  • CEED 2026 results will be prepared based on the final answer key.

Q:   What is the weightage of CEED Part B exam?
A: 

CEED Part B is of 100 marks. They will have to attempt questions related to Drawing, Creativity, Communication, and Problem Solving. Part B carries 75% weightage.

Exam will check ability of candidate to draw products, people, scenes, etc., and also their capability to understand user and context.

Q:   What if I forget my CEED application login details?

Candidates can get their login credentials through Forgot Password option on CEED portal using their registered email ID.

  • Forgot Password option is available onCEED portal. While selecting this option, candidates will need to enter their registered email ID.
  • A password reset link or instructions will be sent to email.
  • By following steps mentioned in email, candidates can reset their password.
Q:   Can I use previous years' CEED score for admission purpose?
A: 

 The CEED score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result. This means you can use CEED 2026 scores for admission in the current academic session only. You can't use for admission in the next year.

Likewise, you can't use CEED 2025 scores for admission in the upcoming session.

How to calculate marks in CEED Exam?

The marking scheme for CEED 2026 varies for Part A and Part B of the design exam. There is negative marking in Part A, but there is no negative marking for Part B.

Q:   Do I need a portfolio to apply to IIT Delhi through CEED 2026?
A: 

The design task/interview for admission to the M. Des. in Department of Design, IIT Delhi will be held in May 2026 (tentative).

As part of the design task/interview, the candidate is required to upload your digital portfolio. The portfolio must include five best projects (maximum size 10 MB) of the candidate.

The filename of the pdf must be your IIT Delhi application number. The candidate may carry their physical portfolio on the day of the interview as well, but it is not mandatory.   

Q:   Will there be joint counselling for CEED 2026?
A: 

IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Counseling for CEED 2026. Instead, the participating colleges will conduct the counseling at an institute level. The candidate will have to go to the admission portal of the institute and fill in the counseling registration form. The counseling admission portal will have all the relevant details pertaining to the admission process, seat matrix, eligibility, etc. 

Q:   When will CEED 2026 counselling registration open?

The counseling process for CEED 2026 has started by individual institutes. CEED 2026 results were declared on March 4, 2026.

CEED Exam Marks Vs Percentile Vs Rank

CEED 2026 exam qualifying marks was released by IIT Bombay on February 05, 2026. CEED 2026 Part A cut-off is for all candidates. The candidate can check the cut-off for the category they belong to using the link that will be updated here. The candidate must meet the cut-off for the category they have selected when filling out the CEED application form. If not, the candidate will be out of the admission process.

The Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only for shortlisted candidates. The admission cut-off for CEED 2026 will be released during the seat allotment process. Candidates who meet this cut-off will be allocated seats in the CEED 2026 Counselling rounds in the CEED Result sharing and participating colleges. To confirm their seats, the candidates will have to pay the seat-acceptance fee before the given deadline.

To appear in the CEED 2026 exam, the candidate must have passed a degree, Diploma, or postgraduate degree exam of minimum three years. There is no limit on the upper age limit or number of attempts for appearing in CEED. The eligibility criteria that candidates need to meet for appearing in the CEED have been explained below. Qualifying exam - The candidate must have completed a degree, Diploma, or postgraduate programme of a minimum of THREE years (after 10+2). Or, Appearing for the final exam of such a programme by July 2026 or, Must have passed the GD Arts Diploma programme (10+5) level Age limit - No upper age limit. Number of Attempts - The CEED exam can be attempted any number of times. Q:   How are CEED result sharing institutes different from participating institutes?
A: 

The participating institutes of CEED 2026 will offer admission to the M.Des courses based on CEED 2026 scores only. They will not accept scores of other entrance exams for admission process. Also, IIT Bombay will conduct a Joint Seat Allotment Process or Counseling for the participating institutes.

On the other hand, result-sharing institutes will not participate in the Joint Seat Allotment Process. Instead, these institutes will conduct counseling at an institute-level. This means, the candidate has to apply directly to these institutes based on their CEED 2026 scores. Another thing is result-sharing institutes will allocate only a fraction of the seats for CEED 2026 qualified candidates. The remaining seats will be filled by considering scores of other entrance exams.

Q:   Are CEED 2026 eligibility criteria the same as those required by the participating colleges?

The candidate must note that IIT Bombay is only responsible for conducting the CEED Entrance exam. Unlike UCEED, it will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment.  

This means the eligibility criteria prescribed by IIT Bombay is limited to appearing in the CEED 2026 exam. Further, the participating institutes of CEED 2026 will individually determine the eligibility criteria for the M.Des courses. CEED Cutoff 2026

CEED 2026 Part A cut-off was out by IIT Bombay on February 05, 2026. CEED 2026 Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only if the candidate meets the Part A cut-off. If the candidate meets the CEED Part A cut-off, the candidate will be shortlisted and allocated a merit rank. Shortlisted candidates will be assigned a merit rank and will be eligible to participate in CEED 2026 counseling.

CEED 2026 counseling will be conducted by the individual participating colleges. IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Admission Process. Consequently, IIT Bombay will also not release the admission cut-offs.

Both CEED and UCEED exams are conducted by IIT Bombay. IIT Bombay also conducts a Joint Admission Process (or counseling) for UCEED qualified candidates. However, IIT Bombay doesn't conduct any joint counseling for CEED qualified candidates. Rohit Ravindra Waghmare topped the CEED topper list 2025 with 82.38 marks out of 100.

CEED 2023 exam was topped by Khyati Rathor, who secured the AIR 1. She secured 68.85 marks in the exam, out of 100 marks. Simon George Cherian got the second position and scored 66.63 marks.

Q:   When will the application form for CEED 2026 open?

The application form for CEED 2026 is open now. Applications will open in online mode at ceed.iitb.ac.in. It was out on October 01, 2025.

All the details about the CEED 2026 application form will be updated on the admission portals, including the information brochure. The candidate needs to carefully go through the brochure to check their eligibility. 

Q:   When will the CEED 2026 result be declared?

IIT Bombay has already declared results for the CEED 2026 online. The results were released on March 04, 2026, online at ceed.iitb.ac.in. To check results, candidate needs to log in to the result portals using their login ID. 

CEED 2026 results was released for all candidates who appeared in the design entrance exam. However, the CEED 2026 merit rank will only be issued to candidates who qualify for Part A and are shortlisted.

Q:   When can I upload comment against the CEED 2026 draft answers key?

The candidate will be given an option to challenge the draft key. The schedule will be notified on the official website. The objections have to be submitted through the candidate portal.

The link to upload comments is expected to be activated on the official CEED 2026 admission portals - ceed.iitb.ac.in. To upload a comment, you are required to log in to the portals using your candidate login details.

The candidate will have to follow the Master Question Paper for uploading comments. It is because question booklets with different paper codes had a different arrangement (or order) of the questions. Also, the comment should be supported by supporting documents.

Q:   Can I apply to PhD courses based on CEED 2026 scores?

IIT Bombay conducts the CEED entrance exam for M.Des and PhD courses. So, yes, you can take the CEED 2026 exam if you plan to get admission to the PhD program offered by participating colleges.

IIT Bombay has not recommended a dress code for taking CEED Exam. But candidates should dress modestly for the exam. They should avoid heavy jewellery, rugged jeans, chunky shoes, etc.

Yes, candidates must bring a printout of CEED admit card for exam. Soft copies of the admit card will not be accepted. Also, along with the admit card, the candidate should also bring a photo ID proof.

No, you cannot get the CEED Centre changed once the Admit card is issued. There is no scope to change it. In fact, CEED officials will not entertain any requests for a change in the exam centre.
