Jai Hind College BCom admission is merit-based for the year 2024. Candidates seeking admission to the BCom programme are required to go through the multiple-step process. Given below is the Jai Hind College BCom admission process:

STEP 1: Application Process

Only students who fill out and submit the Jai Hind College BCom application form become eligible to be considered for the rank list. Application for admission should be submitted in the prescribed format at the college office for acceptance of application. Jai Hind College has provision for online application on the website but hard copies need to be submitted for verification.

The University of Mumbai has made it mandatory for all candidates seeking admission to the first-year courses to fill in the ‘Pre Admission Online Registration Form’ which is available on the University's website. The steps involved in the process are as follows:

Step 1.1: Visit the Jai Hind College official website and register by entering basic details.

Step 1.2: Login with the user ID and password generated during the registration.

Step 1.3: Select the BCom and start filling out the application form.

Step 1.4: Upload the documents.

Step 1.5: Payment of the application fees.

STEP 2: Selection Criteria

Admission to Jai Hind College BCom will be based on merit (Class 12 examination aggregate). Students who have passed the Class 12 examination from Boards other than the Maharashtra State Board are required to apply for a Provisional Eligibility Certificate through the College at the time of admission. The final step of Jai Hind College admission is to pay the Jai Hind College BCom fees.

You need to register yourself by visiting the Jai Hind College official website then login with the generated user id and password. After that, select Bsc as your course and start filling out the admission form with your details. 

You might be asked to submit the following documents -  class 10 mark sheet, class 12 mark sheet and leaving certificate, your proof of residence, Aadhar and caste certificate (if you have). Also, you would have to submit photographs.

After filling your form, pay your application fees to complete your application for B.Sc admission. Then you need to wait for the merit list and check for your eligibility.

According to the recents updates, the admissions in Jai Hind College are based upon performance of individual in Class 12, or an equivalent exam. Admission to the self-financing courses is based on the online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) and Class 12/HSC exam scores. Jai Hind College releases a merit list to indicate the name of the students selected for admission. The students of other boards (apart from CBSE 12, Maharashtra HSC, ISC ) need to pay an additional sum of INR 320.

For PG courses like MBA/PGDM, MAH CET percentile is needed, for Ph.D, GATE, UGC NET exams' score is required. 

Overall, it depends upon the course you are choosing. Admissions in most of the course are based on merit lists or cut-offs and some of the courses require a particular entrance exam score. 

Jai Hind College, Mumbai takes direct admission for the courses Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) and a Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM).

Merit-list is created based on the aggregate scored in Class 12 level or equivalent examination. Students in the merit-list have to go through a personal interview or entrance assessment to be eligible for JHC admission.
