Qualified candidates in GATE 2025 will be eligible to be offered admission to Master's Degree programmes and PhD programmes in various institutes in India.

No, a GATE score of 40 marks is relatively low for IITs and popular branches like CSE, ME, EE, and ME. The score is considered below average. GAIL Recruitment through GATE 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
Age Criteria
- The upper Age Limit is 26 years as of the last date of filling the application form for the posts of Executive Trainee in all disciplines.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST category candidates and 3 years for OBC (NCL) category candidates.
- The maximum upper age of the applicant shall not exceed 56 years, including all possible age relaxations.
Minimum Qualification Required—Only full-time Regular Bachelor's Degrees in an Engineering discipline (including 05 years BE/ B Tech + ME/ M Tech integrated dual degree in Engineering) will be considered for the GAIL recruitment process. All the qualifications must be from UGC-recognised Indian University/UGC-Recognised Indian Deemed University or AICTE-approved institutes.
Minimum marks requirement:
- Candidates who have completed their Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (including 05 years BE/ B Tech + ME/ M Tech integrated dual degree in Engineering) in the year 2019 and belong to the General/EWS/OBC (NCL) category must have secured a minimum 65% marks and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category must have secured minimum 60% marks.
Who is not eligible for GAIL Recruitment through GATE 2025?
A Candidate who will complete their Bachelor's degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline/ branch in the year 2024 or afterwards is not eligible to apply for the post of Executive Trainee in E-2 grade. Candidates who have completed full-time regular courses are eligible for the recruitment process.
Students applying for GATE 2025 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate can appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 30 papers for which GATE 2025 will be conducted, they must carefully choose the papers they wish to write. A candidate is expected to appear in the papers appropriate to the discipline of his or her qualifying degree. However, he or she is free to choose any paper according to his or her admission plan, keeping in mind the GATE eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he or she wishes to seek admission. Those candidates opting for two paper combinations for GATE 2025 have a primary choice of paper as their default choice. The second choice of paper has to be chosen from the allowed combinations. A candidate can choose at least three exam cities while filling the GATE application form. The conducting authorities will conduct the GATE exam at around 200 exam centres from the issued list of GATE exam centres. Passing marks in GATE exam is different for all 30 papers. The GATE qualifying mark for PSUs recruitment is also different. Candidates appearing in any GATE paper have to obtain the minimum mark in order to be declared qualified for the exam. Only qualified candidates are considered for admission to MTech/MSc/PhD programs and the MHRD scholarship. Candidates can opt for at least three exam cities for GATE, while filling out the application form. The last date to submit the GATE application form was October 3, 2024 (with regular fees) and October 7, 2024 (with extended fees). GAIL Recruitment 2025 – Pay Scale and Emoluments
- Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.60,000 – 1,80,000/- at the Basic Pay of Rs.60,000/- during one-year training cum probation as Executive Trainee in E-2 grade. On successful completion of their Training cum Probation Period, they will be absorbed in the same Pay Scale of Rs.60,000 – 1,80,000/- in E-2 grade.
- Pay and Allowances: Basic Pay as applicable to the grade, Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) at the applicable rates, and perks and allowances under the cafeteria approach.
- Variable Pay: Performance-related Related Pay based on individual and organizational performance.
- Other Benefits: Company / Leased Accommodation / HRA, medical facility, group insurance, etc.
- Superannuation Benefits: In addition to the Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, and Pension, employees who superannuate from GAIL after a minimum of 15 years of service will also be entitled to Post-Retirement Medical Benefits.
How to apply for GAIL Recruitment through GATE 2025?
- Candidates who wish to apply for GAIL recruitment GATE 2025 must complete the application form and submit their details.
- The application form of GAIL 2025 recruitment will be available on the official GAIL website.
- Candidates have to register first and then appear in the GATE 2025 exam.
- Candidates can apply for one post/ discipline only. Those candidates applying for more than one post/ discipline will not be considered.
- After submission of the GAIL Recruitment 2025 application form, candidates will be provided with a unique registration number on their registered email ID.
- Candidates have to take a printout of the application form and affix a passport-size photograph and signature in the space provided.
- Candidates called for Group Discussion and interviews must produce the same application form at the time of Group Discussion and Interview.
- Candidates should not send the printout of the online application to any office of GAIL (India) Limited.
Note: There is no separate fee for applying for the above posts of Executive Trainees in GAIL.
