September 15, 2022: Five major colleges in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Italy have formed new relationships with Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), an institution of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). Along with the 250+ current agreements, these new partnerships are expanding the prospects for intercultural learning through internationalisation.

JGLS has recently signed new Memorandums of Understanding with the following organisations as part of its goal to offer its students opportunities for global education:

  1. USC Gould School of Law, University of Southern California, United States of America
  2. University of Georgia School of Law, University of Georgia, United States of America
  3. Northeastern University School of Law, Northeastern University, United States of America
  4. Edge Hill University, United Kingdom
  5. Università di Siena, Italy

The new MoUs give JGLS students a variety of additional opportunities. Collaborations of this nature include faculty exchange programmes, master's degree paths, joint research projects, and student exchange programmes.

As the world transitions into a post-pandemic era, JGLS is dedicated to giving its students a truly global learning experience. By giving JGLS students the chance to engage in student exchange programmes at the USC Gould School of Law, University of Georgia School of Law, and Università di Siena, the new MoUs highlight this commitment.

Exchange relationships are a great institutional tool to pique students' interest because JGLS is devoted to growing the number of international students on its campus. Students who take part in exchange programmes spend a semester at the partner university, which provides them with unmatched learning opportunities in a variety of international contexts as well as the extra advantage of peer-to-peer cross-cultural learning and idea exchange.

The JGLS students will have a pathway into the LLM programme at Northeastern University School of Law in Boston thanks to the collaboration arrangement with that institution.

Pathway programmes provide JGLS students a distinct edge, given the surge in the number of students choosing postgraduate degrees at JGLS and other law schools nationwide.

It was boring and overprotective.

Placements: Welspun Group, Bajaj Allianz, Veritas Legal, and Khaitan & Co. were the firms where most of our LL.M. students got hired. The college placement team sent us for internships in our final semester, often through connections with past students of our college. The packages were not very high but were acceptable for the initial stage of work.

Partnered with various law firms and consultancies.

Placements: Mostly, law firms and consultancies, such as BBNC, LexCounsel, and Zinnov, have partnered with O P Jindal Global Law School to provide students with successive career prospects. Such efforts are not enough, as they provide minimal job offers. However, they offer valuable suggestions for developing a valuable profile through internship experience.

Management systems are advised to improve.

Placements: Actually, my parents forced me to join this college while considering their placement records and reports and after getting multiple counseling from neighbors. Placements are not as good as it is in the placement reports. I got placed with an average package of 3.21 LPA with one of the professional lawyer assistants in the court.

Review of Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University.

Placements: Trilegal, L&L, and Veritas Legal are the most common and repeated recruiters from our law college. Basically, the recruitment process starts at the final period of course completion, which looks for students with zero backlogs. The packages are not very attractive or high but are okay enough for students looking for jobs. Every time, we had to ask permission from everyone in our discipline while exploring visits for internships and projects. This framework was frustrating and made us waste a lot...

Sources provided for exam preparations are not enough.

Placements: Top consulting firms have good connectivity with the college, but rate of recruitment is not so fulfilling as like the expectations by the students. Even the start pay would be literally between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 per month. But we are paying lakhs of money for getting good placement opportunities.

I feel like it was the wrong decision to join the college.

Placements: We blindly trust the college officials for placements, but they don't make proper efforts to achieve it. Even the median package was ₹2.9 LPA, which was very disappointing. The efforts made by the officials are too small, as they are only connected with a few recruitment firms.
