With BSc degree you are eligible for majority of non technical posts in Government (Central, State, PSU, Banks etc) where eligibility criterion is graduation degree. Beside this you may able to get job of technician, lab assistant in Scientific R&D organisation. You are also eligible to do BEd and take school teacher job. Candidates who have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology with a minimum of 50% aggregate along with English as one of the subjects can apply for BSc at JIPMER Puducherry. SC/ST/OBC candidates need 40% aggregate to be eligible, whereas 45% aggregate is required for PwD category candidates) to apply for the course.

For admission to JIPMER BSc in Nursing course, aspirants must be Class 12 pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology, and English as one of the subjects. The qualifying exam should have been passed with at least 50% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ST/OBC; 45% aggregate for PwD category candidates). Moreover, the applicants age at the time of admission should be at least 17 years, or candidate must turn 17 on or before December 31 of the year of admission. There is not upper age limit.

Furthermore, candidates seeking admission must hold the relevant documents as well. These are required for verification purposes by the institute.

JIPMER BSc admission is entrance-based. Candidates are shortlisted and admission is offered based on NEET scores. However, there are some specialisations, in which the admission can be granted on merit-basis. Candidates who are Class 12 pass with PCM/Biology and English as a subject with at least 50% aggregate (for general candidates) can apply. The aspirants must meet the age limit as well. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements can apply for admission by completing the application form.
