Actually satisfied because of some faculty, good placements in 2024, and good infrastructure.
Placements: Above 99% of students are placed. The highest package is 4 LPA, and the lowest package is 1.5 LPA. The Varsha Biotech company hired 10 students from our department, and 15 internships were secured in the Progen Biotechnology company. The top role offered in the course is developing a research person.
Infrastructure: Campus has pretty decent infrastructure. Classrooms are clean and have proper Wi-Fi and projectors. Labs are well-equipped, and the library is quiet with a good book collection. Hostels are comfortable, and Wi-Fi works fine. The mess food is okay, not great, but manageable. Sports facilities like basketball, football, and indoor games are available. Medical help is also there when needed. Overall, it's a good environment to study and live in.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful and well-qualified, and they explain concepts clearly. Some go the extra mile to support students. The course curriculum is decent and covers the basics needed for the industry, though some parts could be updated. Semester exams are manageable if you attend classes regularly and revise properly. The pass percentage is fairly good, and students who put in consistent effort usually do well. Overall, the academic environment is supportive and not overly stressful.

Good infrastructure, Placements, Facilities and faculty members and well connected by road.
Placements: Our college shows minimum 80% placements for each batch. Top Companies such as Wipro, TCS, CTS, Zoho for IT, CSE departments Zifo, Biogenomics, and many core companies for Biotechnology. Placement training is given by college by hiring experts and HR's to train the students from 3 year .
Infrastructure: Our college has very good lab facilities for biotechnology comparing other colleges offering biotechnology in Salem, erode and Namakkal Surroundings. Our has 5 food courts and a informary to diagnose students sick. College runs free bus for 60 km radius from college .
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in improving knowledge in basic skills. Curriculum is choice based grade system allowing student to obtain practical field knowledge by attending internships and allowing students to attend multidisipilinary courses to obtain knowledge in other course rather than their core.
Other: College conducts intra college and inter college culturals yearly Department wise events, Fests are conducted frequently.

It is a good college to study.
Placements: For biotech, there were no good placements. Students got placed with very low salary packages. But in another department, there were very good placements. Our college provided 100% placements. In departments like IT and CSC, they provided good course called PRP, especially for final year students to get placed in a good company.
Infrastructure: Facilities such as classroom and library were good. Even the hostel facilities were good. They made us to feel comfortable in the hostel. The food served was very good compared to other colleges in the surroundings. Staff members were very good people who took care of students and their health.
Faculty: Our college provided a good learning environment and a good education from our staff members. Teachers were good to us regarding education and other scenarios. There was a good environment for studying also to inculcate their innate abilities. The labs were so good, for project-related things. They give us labs to discover many new things as our outcomes.
Other: I opted for the course because I have a biology background. Our course deals with discovering many new things that satisfied my passion. An improvement is required in providing good placements for our department.

I am dissatisfied due to teachers, good placements provided in 2019 and really good infrastructure.
Placements: We are from the 2016-2020 batch of B.Tech in biotechnology. Still, none of the students from our course didn't get placed. About 10% of the students got internships in IIT Bombay, Mumbai. For the biotech department, our college still didn't arrange any placement training or classes for students. Students lacked much quality of own skills due to exposure nature to be well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college or department is partially fine for us. The infrastructure is not the same as our college advertised. The food served in the hostel isn't fine for students as it is not healthy, tasty, etc. So, we request our college to change the menu of hostel food by adding sufficient nutritional value food in it.
Faculty: Teachers here are averagely knowledgeable. The quality of teaching of faculty members must be noticed while interviewing them for jobs. We are not ready to face the industry. I suggest that our college should recruit teachers from outside only because most of the teachers are from KSR campus only.
Other: I just want to choose B.Tech in food technology. But, when I am new to this college, I thought I have to choose a new course. There are no other options for me, so I chose biotechnology.

I am dissatisfied with placements and course curriculum.
Placements: There are no placements in our department. Some students in other departments like CSE and IT got placed in Wipro and some other companies. But placements is poor for biotechnology department, and overall it is only 5% of placements. They do not consider the future of students. The college doesn't provide any placement training for our department.
Infrastructure: The campus of K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology is lush green. They are also a high demand for drinking water. You need to walk on the campus to wherever you want to go. The campus is poor. Hostel food is not much better. The college provides a good transportation facility. There are many food courts available here.
Faculty: The teacher to student ratio is average. They are good and improve education teaching. They provide practical knowledge of the subject. They complete the syllabus on time. The course curriculum needs to improve with industrial development. They do not give importance to industrial visit programme.

I recommend everyone not to join this college.
Placements: No one is placed in core companies from the college. They provide placements for the students who do not deserve and who are under-talented, the management plays politics. If the students support the faculty, then they get placed. Thus the life of other students will be destroyed. I am a life sciences graduate, but they never spoke to us about the core placement. They try to play with our career by placing in medical coding or BPO jobs.
Infrastructure: The labs are great, but the staff are playing politics with the students who are under other mentors. The staff members hide the chemical bottle in their cupboard. The instruments are used only by the students who support the staff. The chemicals are not available for everyone. All the facilities like GCMS, cell lines, SEM and TEM are always outsourced by paying a high cost. If you support the staff, then they will provide you with some help.
Faculty: All the faculty members are playing internal politics, and they will send you out if you are perfect in everything. Everything works with their decision only. You cannot even choose your electives. All the faculty members are the biggest politicians in KSRCTBT. But you can learn many things from your own efforts.
Other: The college never conducted any event.

Satisfied but not whole heartedly. Need improvement.
Placements: The placement is not so good. As biotechnology is research based cource 100 percent placement is not possible. But students who are in need for placement have been placed in various pharma and food companies and industries. The people those who are in research should encouraged to get internship in research institute.
Infrastructure: The building was good. But need more hi tech instrument to get updated to the present. The lab facilities are well and good to learn basic experiments but not for research level. The physical department is good but it is not available for all students as there is only one ground for whole 5 institute in the campus.
Faculty: The faculty number was good. But interaction with student and relationships between staff and student is too worse. Need for more friendly staff who can solve the problem faced by students not the staff who create problems for students and making them to develop the hatredness towards department. The curriculum should be updated to the present research level.
Other: The conduction of symposium should be made possible from upcoming years. This would make them to interact with others students and research staff and scholors. It will also leads to be updated about ongoing research projects in national and international level.
