Great academic foundation with supportive faculty, decent placements & a vibrant campus life.
Placements: I pursued B.Com (Hons. ) from Maitreyi College, University of Delhi, where placements steadily improved. In 2023-24, around 61% of students got placed, with the highest package reaching 21 LPA and an average of 5.5 LPA. Top recruiters included Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Microsoft, and Wipro. Many students also secured internships with a stipend of up to 50,000/month at firms like ShareKhan and FinLadder. Roles like financial analyst, tax consultant, and HR executive are offered. The course offered a strong foundation in commerce with good exposure to both placements and internships.
Infrastructure: Maitreyi College provides strong infrastructure for B.Com (Hons) students with spacious, smart classrooms, a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, and a well-stocked library. Commerce students occasionally use computer labs for practical subjects. The canteen is popular for its affordable variety, while the hostel is secure and decently maintained, though the mess food is average. Basic medical care is available on campus. The college also offers good sports facilities and encourages extracurricular activities. Overall, the academic and campus infrastructure is supportive, making it a balanced environment for both learning and student life.
Faculty: Teachers in the B.Com (Hons. ) department at Maitreyi College are experienced, supportive, and well-qualified, with many holding PhDs. They teach using a mix of lectures and practical examples, and are approachable outside class too. The Delhi University-designed curriculum is comprehensive and industry-relevant, covering subjects like finance, marketing, and taxation. While the course builds a strong theoretical base, students are encouraged to pursue internships and certification for better industry readiness. Semester exams are moderately difficult but manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is high, and the academic environment is well-balanced for serious and consistent learners.
Other: Maitreyi College offers a vibrant campus life with a friendly and diverse crowd. Cultural fests, active societies like dramatics, dance, and finance, and regular events make student life engaging. Located in Chanakyapuri, the college is well-connected and safe, with a nearby metro station and food joints. The campus is clean and green, with security and basic medical facilities. Scholarships and fee concessions are available based on merit and need. Overall, it is a lively and supportive environment that encourages both academic growth and personal development.

Learn and enjoy campus life. Maitreyi is the one for you.
Placements: Most of the placement and internship offers in our college are for B.Com (Hons) students. One can expect a minimum package of 4-5 LPA, which can go up to a maximum of 12-13 LPA. Top recruiters include Deloitte, Zomato, Amazon, Wipro, Accenture, etc.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the college is beautiful. There are well-equipped and spacious laboratories for subjects like Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Classrooms are well-furnished. There is a medical room for students facing emergencies.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, very approachable, and understanding. Our course follows the New Education Policy (NEP) guidelines and is up to date with the relevant syllabus. The course teaches us not only through books but also through real-world experiences.

Maitreyi College has strong faculty members, good infrastructure, and decent placements.
Placements: There are a lot of opportunities for placements and internships at Maitreyi College. Companies like Deloitte, PwC, Airtel, Flipcart, and Urban visit the college for placements. The starting package is 3 LPA. The average package is 6 LPA. The placement cell is supportive and helps students a lot.
Infrastructure: The course facilities are decent. Free Wi-Fi is available. Labs are well-equipped. Most of the classrooms are spacious, especially in the new building. The library is well-stocked with books and resources. As per the hostel, rooms are pretty big, and basic amenities are provided. Food quality in the canteen and mess are average. Now more variety is being added to the menu like shakes and drinks. Sports facilities are good which includes a large ground and a basketball court.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are approachable for clarifications and offer guidance. The course curriculum is irrelevant but could be improved by using more practical exposure. Exams are held at the end of every semester. Exams are of moderate difficulty level, but the pass percentage is pretty decent.
Other: I chose this course because I felt that it would offer a wide range of opportunities. It provides a strong base in business and finance and opens doors to various career paths. I have always had an interest in finance.

Our college is one of the best in Delhi University.
Placements: The placements in our college are impressive. Companies like PWC, KPMG, Deloitte, and Aditya Birla come to our college and the highest package this year was 20 Lacs per annum and the average package ranges between 6-8 Lacs per annum. There are also many internships available.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing and one of the best. We have labs for our tally practical and the computers work well. The hostel is nice but I would say it's not affordable as compared to the course. The total fee is 180000 but the food and hygiene are pretty good.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful and nice. They are very friendly. The course curriculum is relevant but there are many things that are things of the past now, so they should improve on that. The semester exams are moderate; they are not too hard to pass but you have to study very hard if you want a very good CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because it has scope in the field of banking and commerce. I wish our teachers could take more case studies while teaching.

Great campus with good teachers.
Placements: Most students who sit for placements are successfully recruited. There are excellent placement drives throughout the year, offering multiple opportunities upon graduation. The highest package is more than 22 LPA, while the lowest ranges from 1 to 2 LPA. Top recruiters include the Big Four, DE Shaw, Nestlé, Airtel, Zomato, Xalts, WTW, and Crowe.
Infrastructure: The campus is spacious and accessible, with good provisions for special needs. The overall infrastructure is average, featuring a great canteen, but the Wi-Fi service is poor. Medical facilities and sports initiatives are satisfactory. All courses have labs with functional systems, although some classrooms are old and not well-maintained. Overall, it’s acceptable.
Faculty: There is a good number of teachers, and hiring is regular. However, the curriculum from the university is often unreliable due to frequent changes and significant variations. Industry readiness among students is low. Semester exams have a reasonable level of difficulty, and the passing percentage aligns with the overall standards of Delhi University.
