College is fine, as it is only for girls, so it is better.
Placements: If our course is in the arts, then there are no placements related to it; people go to further fields like professor, IPS, IAS. The rest of us prepare for most of our courses according to our subjects. We still have a lot to do in life, which means further studies. Most of the students pursue a Master's, and the rest continue their studies through Ph.D. etc.
Infrastructure: There are plenty of facilities here, and there is Wi-Fi in the college. There is also a library in which all books, etc., are available. There is a canteen near the library where you don't get much good food. You get samosas and some other snacks. The college does not have its own hostel. According to me, everyone lives in private PGs.
Faculty: Our teachers here are good, and their teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is correct, and everything else is okay. Semester exams are conducted from the main office of the college, the Delhi University branch. Semester exam difficulty is not great.
Other: We have the most off-day scholars here. Many things can be improved, such as the way the course is taught. The rest of the events at the fest are all good.

It is amazing with great facilities. I love this college.
Placements: The placement cell of Maitreyi College is really good. The average package is between 10 LPA to 12 LPA for commerce students. There are more opportunities. One of the big 4 i.e., Deloitte come every year for the recruitment and also for the courses many other good opportunities are there.
Infrastructure: The college hostel is very good. They have all the facilities like food and washrooms. All the things they have in common are the common washrooms and the order is also very good. Overall, its 10 out of 10, if we are talking about the security.
Faculty: Faculty members are absolutely amazing. The curriculum and exams are very systematic. All the things are in a very systematic way and we do not have to worry about anything. Teachers are very helpful. They guide us throughout the semester on what to do and what not to do. The courses at Matric College are also good. Faculty members are very supportive and very helpful. We do not feel any hesitation at all.
Other: There are many types of society in the college. Every year college hosts annual fest. They call many famous celebrities every year and students enjoy it.

B.A. (Economics, English) - Batch of 2026
3.6
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Best campus, average faculty.
Placements: Maitreyi has a good placement cell, and it has got companies like Deloitte and many other firms, but the thing is, it doesn't get companies for B.A. students, especially B.A. programme students. The placement is totally based towards companies only opting for B.Com students. Although for internships, there are good companies and good internship opportunities being shared with B.A. students on a weekly basis, and I myself have internships through Maitreyi. But placements are of no hope in Maitreyi for B.A. students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure varies across the 2 buildings. The Science block has a good infrastructure, but the B.A. and B.Com students suffer with old desks and non-functioning fans. The hostel is alright, really and has a good infrastructure. The library is the most efficient in Maitreyi, as per my view, it's 2 floors with a very vast area and a separate e-library with Apple desktops. All the books are available almost every time. Medical facilities are also quite good, provided with a separate room, and the nurse and doctor are quite polite. Sports and games are the heart of Maitreyi. It's ace in sports.
Faculty: The faculty for my course is quite good, except for a few. For major papers like econometrics and optimisation, our teacher is requisite, and it's all her that students could ace such difficult subjects. However, this year, it is a different syllabus, which wasn't completed by another faculty for 2 subjects, and we had to give our exams. Out of 4 units, she only completed 1, and we had to study on our own and give exams.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in economics, but on the side, I also wanted to learn English and had an interest in content writing. The crowd differs vastly across courses. For B.Com, it's alright, but B.A. and B.Sc. differ. The campus of Maitreyi is lovely. The garden and the fest are what make it worth it to have a life in Maitreyi.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty.
Placements: There are my friends who have been selected for the Times of India editor, in Tata Power, in Wipro, and in Hitachi. There are many other opportunities, such as being the president of the department and representing your college in almost all the universities in Delhi.
Infrastructure: The hostel is fully safe and secure for girls as they have the best staff to ensure the security of all girls staying there, in every field, like health, food, education, and entertainment. The best part is that the campus is surrounded by the serene beauty of nature with the wonderful voices of peacocks.
Faculty: From my point of view, my course teachers are the best in the college, as I was totally new to the subject of sociology, and they just taught it like a cake walk. The assignments and field work arranged by them gave us the opportunity to observe the society more closely.
Other: I'm a graduate of 2025, B.A. Hons Sociology. The department's fest is the best, and the seminars conducted by the teachers are very knowledgeable. The teachers are highly professional in their subjects.

The college is not too good, not too bad.
Placements: Not many students from our batch have been placed as of yet. Generally, the students who have commerce in their GE or had commerce in school are the ones that companies prefer. Top recruiting companies for our course are Deloitte, KPMG, J. P. Morgan, EY, Accenture, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our college, but it barely works. Some classrooms are decent, some are below average. Canteen contact keeps on changing, currently it is very okayish. The crowd is fine, the faculty is decent, and the greenery is amazing, especially during the spring season.
Faculty: Some teachers are helping, but there are also some Teachers who are very rude as well. We feel so scared to even approach them. Some teachers are very kind, and they even understand our case that students are also going through a lot, while others just care about themselves.
Other: I am pursuing economics honours, and I truly believe that it is the cream of the humanities. It gives you insight into how the economy of any country works, which has always fascinated me.

Supportive faculty, good placements, and excellent campus life.
Placements: I was a part of the B.Com batch of 2021-2024 at Maitreyi College. The course was very helpful, covering subjects like accounting, finance, taxation, and business law along with practical projects. Around 85% of students from our batch got placed, with the highest package being 12 LPA, the lowest 3 LPA, and the average around 5.5 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, EY, KPMG, and ICICI Bank recruited students for roles like accounting executive, finance intern, marketing analyst, and audit trainee. About 90% of us got internships in good companies, which provided great real-world experience.
Infrastructure: Maitreyi College offered good facilities for students. Classrooms were spacious. Labs and the library were modern. Wi-Fi was across the campus. Hostel rooms were clean and comfortable. Mess and canteen hygienic food was provided. Medical help was available on campus. Sports facilities like football, cricket, and indoor games were available. The college had everything needed for study, and a balanced campus life.
Faculty: Teachers at Maitreyi College were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They always ready to clear doubts and guide students. The teaching quality was good, with a balance of theory and practical learning. The course curriculum was relevant. They designed to make students industry-ready by including practical projects, case studies, and internship opportunities. Semester exams were moderately challenging, testing both understanding and application of concepts. The pass percentage was generally high, reflecting good academic support from the faculty.
Other: I chose B.Com at Maitreyi College for a strong foundation in accounting and finance. The best parts were practical learning, helpful teachers, and internship opportunities. I wished there were more industry visits and workshops. The campus was lively, well-connected with fun events, fests, extracurricular activities, and scholarships for deserving students.

Q:   Can students with a minimum cutoff for B Sc. get a seat at Maitreyi College?
A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, let me first explain the concept of cutoff and then answer your query for easy understanding of the whole issue. Because of its standing amongst the students Maitreyi college gets a large number of students who are seeking admission. The admissions are actually controlled by Delhi University through its portal designed specifically for admissions to different colleges which are affiliated to it. In such a scenario if a student with very less percentile applies to Maitri then that student is bound to get disappointed when he will not get this college of a choice. To avoid this from happening and also to avoid having false hopes of admission Maitreyi college announces cutoffs on its website for every round of admission. This actually is for the information of students so that those who have scored less than the cut of need not attempt admission because their chances of getting admission are next to nil. This also helps students in identifying an alternate college and giving that as the first choice. This definitely does not mean that anyone having the percentile of cutoff is going to get admission but it's only an indicator that there is some possibility or probability of getting admission.

Now to answer your query. For student with minimum cut off for BSc, which has been declared by the college, normally are not likely to get admission because many more students who have more percentile, are going to compete for the limited seats available in this college.

Best wishes to you.

Q:   Can I choose only 3 subjects in CUET UG for Maitreyi College admission in 2023?
A:

No, an applicant can choose a maximum of 10 courses of each university for the CUET UG test. The application fee also varies according to the number of programmes selected. The different slabs of CUET UG 2023 application fees are three programmes, seven programmes and 10 programmes. During the CUET 2023 application correction window, students can change the courses or increase or decrease the selected courses.

As per guidelines released by DU (affiliating university of Maitreyi College, candidates must take DU CUET 2023 only in subjects that they have cleared in Class 12. There are a total of 13 languages in which a student can appear for CUET UG 2023. These include Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu. The subject choice of student seeking to get into Maitreyi College must be in accordance with the interested courses a student wants to pursue.

A:

DU CSAS seat allocation plays an important role in Maitreyi College BSc admissions concerning the seat filling based on candidate merit. After declaring the results of CUET, there is a seat allotment process whereby students can be given an opportunity to register and fill in their choices regarding programmes and colleges. This system of CSAS ensures transparency in the selection process. It is well-publicised among all aspirants, and their seat allocation is done in multiple rounds based on CUET scores and preferences. The method not only smoothes the process of admission but also helps Maitreyi College manage its limited BSc seats effectively to ensure that deserving candidates secure admission on merit.

A:

This means the college ensures quality in commerce fields but with a view to keeping the admissions competitive. Therefore, candidates need to score very high marks in CUET since the admission is merit-based. As there are only limited seats available, the responsibility lies on the interested students to be well prepared in advance for the entrance exam aimed at securing an admission in the BCom course of their choice at Maitreyi College.

Q:   When is the deadline for Maitreyi College BCom applications?

For such limited seats, the candidates have to secure very high marks in the CUET.

Q:   What was the last round CUET cutoff score for BA (History, Political Science) at Maitreyi College in 2023?
A:
