CUET PG MSW Syllabus 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CUET PG syllabus for all domain subjects on its website i.e. exams.nta.ac.in. Those candidates who aspire to pursue a programme related to Social Work can find the domain-wise syllabus for the CUET PG 2025 exam on the official website. NTA will conduct the CUET PG 2025 exam from March 13 to March 31, 2025, at 312 exam centres across the country and overseas.

It is recommended that the candidates select Social Work in the CUET PG application form to pursue the programme. The Social Work (HUQP21) is divided into nine broad units. To clear the CUET PG MSW exam, candidates need to answer a total of 75 questions that are designed based on the CUET PG syllabus for the social work programme.

Q:   Who sets the CUET PG syllabus?
A:

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will be introduced for admission into UG/ PG programmes in Central and participating Universities for academic session 2025-26. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will
provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from NorthEast and from rural and other remote areas and help to establish better connect with the Universities. 

The CUET PG 2025 examination will be conducted by the examination authority i.e., NTA (National Testing Agency) in the various CUET PG examination centres across the nation and also to short listed foreign countries. The Syllabus for the master's courses for which the examination will be conducted is set by the exam conducting authority, which is National Testing Agency here. The subject experts after taking all the probable suggestions from all the participating universities, will set the syllabus for the master's degree programmes on the basis of what students have studied in their under graduate courses.

Q:   Does CUET PG syllabus change every year?
A:

Changing the syllabus of CUET PG depends upon the examination authority. However, the chances are very less.The applicants of CUET PG 2024 can download and check the previous year's detailed syllabus of their applied programme in this page itself.

Factors upon which CUET PG syllabus might change:

  • One of the most important reason because of which CUET PG syllabus might change is dependent upon any changes made under NEP- New Education Policy by Ministry of Education.
  • Changes made by UGC, Master of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in the master's degree programme might alter the CUET PG syllabus.
  • NTA (National Testing Agency), the examination conducting body for CUET PG Examination can change if the exam authorities feel the signficance of adding some important topics in the syllabus to ameliorate the holistic approach of the students towards the subject.

Age Limit

The authorities have not specified any age limit for the MSW programme. Candidates who have a bachelor's degree/equivalent examination in any domain can apply for the CUET PG 2025 examination. 

Educational Qualification

  • Delhi University (DU): Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Master's Degree from a recognized University, Or
  • Banaras Hindu University (BHU): Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks OR equivalent in any discipline, Or
  • TATA INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES (TISS): Candidates should have successfully completed a Bachelor's or Master's Degree of minimum of 3 or 4 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.
