CUET PG History Syllabus 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CUET PG syllabus for each subject domain-wise on the official website - exams.nta.ac.in. Candidates who aspire to pursue a PG course in MA History can find the domain-wise syllabus for the CUET PG exam on the official website. To gain admission into the MA History programme, students have to select MA History in the CUET PG application form. CUET PG History (HUQP09) is divided into four broad units. There are 75 MCQ questions, all based on Subject-Specific Knowledge. All questions are mandatory and the questions will be in both English and Hindi languages. To clear the CUET PG MA History exam, candidates need to answer a total of 75 questions that are designed based on the CUET PG 2025 syllabus.

Q:   What is the age limit to apply for CUET PG examination?
A:

For appearing in the CUET PG examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the
bachelor degree/equivalent examination or appearing in 2026 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (PG) 2026
examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria of the University in which they are desirous of taking admission. 

As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs

Q:   How many subjects can candidates choose for the CUET PG exam?
A:

Students can choose more than three subjects for the CUET PG exam but you guys can select one subject per exam session.

Q:   What miscellaneous information about eligibility criteria that CUET PG aspirants should be aware of?
A:

For admission in Universities through CUET (PG)-2026, the existing policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences etc. of the respective University shall be applicable.

As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the eligibility criteria laid down by the University they are applying to.
Mere appearance in the Entrance Test or securing pass marks at the test does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission to the Programme unless he/she fulfils the Programme wise eligibility conditions of the University they are applying to.

CUET PG exam pattern from the academic session 2024 has been changed. As per the latest information, the CUET PG exam 2025 will comprise only domain knowledge questions. The general section/ Part A of the CUET PG exam has been removed. There will be only 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) about the particular course to which the candidate has applied. The domain-specific questions will now be there to test the candidate's analytical and cognitive approach towards the applied course in the CUET PG 2025 examination. Other changes include reducing the exam duration to 90 minutes.

Age Limit

The authorities have not specified any age limit for the MA History programme. Candidates having a bachelor's degree/equivalent examination in any domain can apply for the CUET PG 2025 examination. 

Educational Qualification

  • Delhi University (DU): Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Master's Degree from a recognized University, Or
  • Banaras Hindu University (BHU): BA Hons with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks OR equivalent in any discipline, Or
  • Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU): Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks OR equivalent in any discipline

As per the CUET PG exam pattern, candidates have to answer as many as 75 questions domain-based questions. CUET PG MA History syllabus has the following units:

Ancient History of India (10000 BC to 1206 AD)

The subject in which admission is sought must be Hons subject at BSc (Hons) level/a subject studied in all the three years at Graduate level.
MSc Computer ScienceBSc (Hons)/ BSc under 10 2 3 pattern securing a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of BSc Course). The subject in which admission is sought must be Honos subject at BSc (Hons) level/a subject studied in all the three years at Graduate level.
MSc MathematicsBSc (Hons)/B A (Hons)/BSc/B A under 10 2 3 pattern securing a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate considering all the three years of BSc/B A Courses). The candidate must have studied Mathematics Hons. or studied subject Mathematics in the all the three years at Graduate level. For BSc (Hons)/BSc only Science subjects and for BA (Hons)/B A all subjects except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) mark sheet.
MSc PhysicsBSc (Hons)/ BSc under 10 2 3 pattern securing a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of BSc Course). The subject in which admission is sought must be Hons subject at BSc (Hons) level/a subject studied in all the three years at Graduate level.
MSc Environmental SciencesA minimum of 50 percent marks (equivalent GPA) in BSc (Hons)/BSc (10 2 3) as well as at 10 & 10 2 examinations.

Score of 90 marks in CUET PG, considering you are under the EWS category, your admission will be based on several factors. Given below are some of the Government Universities/Colleges in Delhi you may opt for:
