Students balance out the fun and education at MANIT.

Placements: Placements are good only in B.Tech, not in M.Tech. Around 30 students got placed out of 120 students in the previous year as per our seniors. But only 2 of them got placed in decent companies like LNT and Gammon with the highest salary package of around 12 LPA. The average salary package offered is about 5.5 LPA. Many students got selected from civil engineering as structural engineers. While B.Tech has a much better number of placement offers. Only 2 of them are even going to pursue PhD directly into MANIT. The rest overall is good for any M. Tech student.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are not as modern as I had in B.Tech, and Wi-Fi didn't work in many places. Labs have 80's period type of instruments, which are rarely updated, but instruments are in good number so that you can work individually. The library is good, and we have books from the foreign author and IITs. We also get access to the journal, which is a great help. The hostel is as better as it gets for NITs. I suggest it will be much better if you stay outside. However, all facilities like medical, food and canteen are available.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, great, very knowledgeable and even help in projects and other works. I find that the more you look interested, the more you can get from them. They won't bother you if you don't wish to study. Although there is always something at hand like an assignment or project or presentation or mid sem or quiz, they always keep you busy. The course curriculum is designed nicely and updated every few years based on trends. You get to select from many optional even interdisciplinary. Due to COVID-19, most of the study is online, so notes provided to us are the presentations. They even used videos to show us, but actually, we didn't see the real things and equipment much. However, labs have sufficient quantity. I think any NIT is great in term of teachers and course syllabus.

Other: If you want to enjoy your study and gain knowledge, you can certainly be in Bhopal, NIT. Otherwise, if you wish to join only for placements, I suggest students get better in GATE and get NIT Trichy, Warangal and others. The hidden ragging used to be there in our college, but COVID-19 killed that also. So I just heard stories, and nothing happens now.
