NIT Bhopal MCA Eligibility & Highlights 2024

MANIT or NIT Bhopal offers a three-year PG degree of MCA. This course is offered through the Department of Mathematics, Bioinformatics & Computer Applications. NIT Bhopal accepts admission to MCA through NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET), which is conducted annually by NITs for admission to MCA courses.

Eligibility: Graduate with a minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ ST) in BSc/ BSc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent subject as one of the subjects

Good campus life, but concerning placements.

Placements: Record low placements this year, only around 10-15% placed till now, around 18- 19 LPA is the highest till now and 8-9 LPA is the lowest, around 13 LPA being avg. The top recruitment companies are Texas, Adobe (PPO through summer intern), MSCI, and 4 students got summer internships in Adobe. The top roles being offered are SDE1, ML engineering and data analyst.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi in classroom and labs works fine (around 60mbps). Labs are in good condition, but mostly, we use our own laptops as the system over there is just not capable of handling the tasks. Okayish classrooms (no AC). Library is good, though timings are fixed 9-5. Hostel room is good enough, but the cleaning is an issue in the hostel, hostel food is below average. Sports facilities like football, badminton, TT, chess, kabaddi, basketball, volleyball and even a gym are available. Multiple canteens, but small ones, don't expect too much. Dispensary available for medical needs, free for all students.

Faculty: Most faculty members are at their best in their work and are helpful in all ways, including studies. The course curriculum is very relevant and according to industry needs only. Exams aren't difficult at all, just study in class carefully, you don't even need to study for it later, in our course, 95%-100% students pass.

Other: Whether the career is made or not, the experience is already made, a crazy experience.

This is the best college and good placements.

Placements: 85% of students got placed in our course. Top recruiting companies were Wipro, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra. Top roles offered were software developer and network engineer. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA. 65% of students got internships.

Infrastructure: College had a good infrastructure. The classrooms look very beautiful with AC the labs were pretty good. Computer labs were good. We had a tennis court at our college. The classrooms were also facilitated with projectors. College will provide good hostel facilities for students with home made food. The canteen was also available. Wi-Fi was available.

Faculty: Faculty members were good and excellent. Teachers were well qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers here were helpful to students. They had good experience. They were very friendly. The course curriculum was relevant to the subject. The semester exams were difficult, and the passing percentage was 70%.

Best college for the MCA course.

Placements: The placement assistance at our college was excellent. They worked extremely well to support the placement of students. Almost all students in our course were placed. The highest package offered in our course was 24 LPA, and the average package was around 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Deloitte, Capgemini, Accenture, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course were excellent. Wi-Fi-enabled campus, digital classrooms, and a library with quality reference materials were available in the college. Facilities in the college hostel were also good. Sports ground was available on the campus.

Faculty: Professors were helpful and well-qualified. They were supportive and knowledgeable in their respective fields of study. The course curriculum was relevant and made students ready for industry jobs. The semester examinations of the college were a little tough.

My college experience always gives me happiness. All faculty members and infrastructure are great.

Placements: The placement cell of our college plays a particularly important role. They make all efforts for students so that they get jobs in good companies. More than 200 companies have our college. They give us offer letters for jobs. The highest salary is 85 LPA and the average salary is 15.6 LPA to 82 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our college is very clean and well-equipped. Each classroom has advanced equipment that helps us in our studies. Apart from this, the library has many books of study material which play an important role during our exams. There are air-conditioned hostel rooms for students, large sports grounds, and common rooms.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are courteous and always keep in mind the welfare of the students. They can fulfill their duties. They help us a lot through various assignment projects extra curriculum etc. All the teachers here are highly educated and experienced.

The MANIT saga: A college of academic brilliance and beyond!

Placements: I am currently enrolled as a student of MCA (Master in Computer Applications) here at MANIT, Bhopal. I joined in the academic year of 2022. Talking about the placements of MCA here, I can say that every year about 75-80% of the students get placed in reputed MNCs. The various industries visiting here include Amazon, TCS, and Microsoft. Last year, the highest package went upto 54LPA while the average stood upto 14LPA. Around 30/108 students were hired for internships of 2 months. Top roles offered here are that of SDE (Software development engineer), back and front end engineer, and QA.

Infrastructure: Speaking about the infrastructure of the department, we have a main building here where we have the Training and placements cell, and where every head of the department sits. The campus has a library in the main department and it contains a wide variety of books and journals for the students to access via a library card. The hostels are well maintained with 2 hostels dedicated to girls and 10 hostels for boys. Quality of food in the mess is kind of okay, with some days it being exemplary indeed. There is a dedicated dispensary along with a sports complex with respective areas for the games like badminton, basketball, football, etc.

Faculty: The faculty members here are quite approachable for all the students. They are a set of trained, qualified and certified professionals having multiple degrees. The course curriculum for MCA offers a very well detailed set of subjects which are very vital in today's technical world. Teaching quality of all the professors is really amazing. The core subjects offered here like dbms, networking, programming languages, web development, operation system are indeed quite relevant for MCA and makes the students ready to enter the corporate industry. Semester exams are moderate to manage here, with the faculty members making a fair correction.

Beyond Boundaries : MANIT Educational Odyssey.

Placements: I am student of MANIT, Bhopal, currently pursuing MCA (Master in Computer Application). The total strength of the batch is approximately around 110 students. Every year, about 80% of the students get placed in reputed industries. The highest package offered last year was 54 LPA and the average package was 13 LPA with the lowest package of 5 LPA. Around 32 students were offered internships for a period of two months. The roles offered for MCA students include SDE, Quality Analyst, Full Sack developer, etc.

Infrastructure: The college has a moderate infrastructure with a centralized main building having every head of the department present there. The college provides Wi-Fi with a good speed across the campus. The campus has well furnished labs with many systems provided for the students to work individually. There is a big library in the campus which contains a wide variety of books, journals, research papers, novels, etc. The campus offers a very detailed course curriculum for the students. The quality of the food available in the mess is kind of okay. There is a dedicated dispencery in the college for the wellness of the students. There is a large area for sports where many courts are available for multiple games. MANIT has a big Sports complex.

Faculty: The qualification of the faculty members including their educational background, research expertise, and industry experience are important indicators of their abilities along with their teaching approach and willingness to adapt teaching methods are really useful for the students. The subjects offered here include programming languages, Operation system, Networking, Machines learning, and AI. These subjects are of vital importance and prepares the students well to enter the corporate industry. Semester exams are quite okay to manage here which is a good opportunity for the students to make good pointers.
