NIMCET 2025 application form has been released online. Candidates can now access the NIMCET application form 2025 at nimcet.admissions.nic.in. To participate in the entrance exam and admission process, the candidates will have to fill out and submit the NIMCET application form before the final date, i.e., May 16, 2025. During the NIMCET 2025 application form process, the candidates will have to register, fill out the form, upload scanned documents and pay the fee. The NIMCET 2025 application fee has to be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. Only the registered candidates will be eligible to attempt NIMCET 2025. Before NIMCET 2025 registration, the candidates are advised to check the official eligibility criteria. Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for NIMCET?
A: 

This is the eligibility criteria of NIMCET 2024: Candidates must be a citizen of India. Candidates must be holding graduation degree, such as BCA/B.Sc (Hons)/B.Sc/ BIT as per 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised University. Candidates must have studied Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent subject during graduation degree. General category candidates need to score at least 60% marks or score 6.5 CGPA aggregate. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category need to obtain at least 55% marks or score 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in an aggregate of all subjects. Candidates who have Bachelor of Engineering (BE), B.Tech degree or equivalent degree are also eligible for NIMCET 2024. Thank you.

Q:   Is the NIMCET 2025 application released?

The NIMCET 2025 application form has been released. Interested candidates can now access the NIMCET 2025 application form on the official website. To appear for the NIMCET 2025 exam, the candidates will have to complete and submit the form. Initially, candidates will be required to register for NIMCET 2025 by providing their personal email ID and mobile number. The process of filling out the NIMCET 2025 application form includes registration, furnishing detailed information, uploading scanned images of the candidate's photo and signature, as well as payment of the application fees. 

Q:   How can I apply for NIMCET?
A: 

NIMCET 2025 application form has been released online at nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Candidates will be required to register by submitting their personal email-id and mobile number. An email will be sent to the personal email-id, wherein a web link will be provided for the registration process. By clicking on the link, the applicant is directed to the webpage, where he/ she will first set the password, choose the security question, and submit its answer. After this, the applicant will be directed to the application page, where candidates need to fill the detailed application form, upload documents that include a photo, signature, category certificate (if applicable) and pay the application fees. Candidates need not send the printout of application form.

Steps to fill out the NIMCET 2025 application form

The NIMCET 2025 application form is now available. No other mode has been used to release the NIMCET application form 2025. The given steps can be followed to fill out and submit the application form of NIMCET 2025. 

Step 1 - Registration: For NIMCET 2025 registration, the candidates will have to visit the official website and click on the registration link. The candidates will have to enter their details, i.e., name, gender, date of birth, parents' names, email ID and mobile number for registration. A password has to be generated. After the registration process is completed, the application number will be available to the candidates.

Step 2 - Filling out the application form: Next, the candidates will have to fill out their personal, academic and contact details.  The preferred exam centres have to be selected. All details have to be valid and as per the documents possessed by the candidates. 

Step 3 - Uploading scanned documents: Candidates will have to upload their scanned passport-size photograph (of size between 50 KB to 1 MB) and signature (in Royal Blue/Black colour and of size between 50 KB to 1 MB) as per the official specifications. If the specifications are not met, the candidates will not be able to submit their documents.

Step 4 - Fee payment: Finally, the candidates will have to pay the NIMCET 2025 application fee. The required fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of payment will be accepted.

NIMCET 2025 Application Correction

The NIMCET 2025 application form correction process will be available online from May 19 to 21, 2025. All registered candidates who wish to edit/correct the details submitted in the NIMCET application form 2025 can send an email from their registered email address to the authorities. In the email, the candidates will be required to mention their name and NIMCET 2025 application form number. The candidates will also have to attach their downloaded NIMCET application form along with the mistakes that need to be corrected and the supporting documents. Once the authorities check the request, they will unlock the NIMCET 2025 application form, and the candidates will be able to make the necessary corrections. After the final date, the authorities will not accept any requests to make corrections.

Yes, candidates will be allowed to correct their mistakes in the NIMCET application form. Dates for making the correction will be notified by the conducting authority on the official website. Candidates are advised to keep two copies of the application form and e-receipt for future reference. Also, candidates should remember their login, password, security questions and answers, e-mail id entered in the application until the end of the NIMCET process.

Q:   What is the qualifying mark in NIMCET?
A: 

Candidates securing zero or negative marks either in Mathematics or in Total Marks in NIMCET test will be disqualified. Based on the marks obtained by a qualified candidate in NIMCET test, a rank will be allotted by adopting the following criteria.

  • The marks obtained in Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, English, will be summed up. Thus, maximum weighted marks will be 1000.
  • Ranking will be based on total weighted marks obtained by a candidate.
Q:   What is the difficulty level of NIMCET?
A: 

The difficulty level of NIMCET is normal. Questions from computer awareness sections is of BCA/BSc IT level while English, logical reasoning and Mathematics questions are of intermediate level. However, the questions asked in NIMCETs are tricky and required in-depth understanding of the subjects. Students need to have conceptual understanding of each topics to get a good score in the exam. Students who studies NCERT and have good understanding of topics can get a decent score in NIMCET.

Q:   Is there any negative marking for wrong answers in NIMCET?
A: 

As per the information brochure of NIMCET, each correctly answered question will give full marks, while each incorrectly answered question will result in deduction. For Mathematics, 12 marks will be awarded for the correct answer, and 3 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer. For Computer Awareness, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, 6 marks will be awarded for the correct answer, and 1.5 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer. For General English, 4 marks are awarded for the correct answer, and 1 mark is deducted for the incorrect answer. Candidates are advised against attempting questions if they are unsure of the correct answer. However, no deduction will be made if a question is left unanswered. Selecting multiple answers to a question will result in negative marking.
