NIMCET 2025 Exam Pattern (OUT): Check Marking Scheme, Exam Duration, Distribution of Marks

NIMCET exam pattern will be released online by the authorities. Generally, a candidate should start preparing at least six months before the exam date. The NIMCET 2025 exam date has not been announced yet. For General English, 4 marks are awarded for the correct answer, and 1 mark is deducted for the incorrect answer. Candidates are advised against attempting questions if they are unsure of the correct answer. However, no deduction will be made if a question is left unanswered. Selecting multiple answers to a question will result in negative marking. 

As per the exam pattern of the NIMCET, for every correctly answered question, full marks will be awarded, and each wrongly answered question will lead to a 25% negative mark. Also, if a candidate marked more than one answer against a question, then it will be negatively marked.

The NIMCET question paper consists of four sections - Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English. During the exam, the candidates will have to attempt questions from all sections. The total number of questions in the Mathematics section is 50 questions. For Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, the total number of questions is 40, while for Computer Awareness is 20. Finally, there will be 10 questions for the General English section.
