Maulana Azad College - A Proper Complete Institution with Very Good Infrastructure

Placements: 20% of our batch has been placed in our course. I don't have exact details about the packages. Three students from our batch of 26 got selected in IITs: one in IIT Bombay, one in Madras, and the other in Kharagpur. One student has secured an internship in KGP.

Infrastructure: In our Mathematics department, we have a laboratory with approximately 25 computers. The department has three classrooms for the three years of students and one staff room for professors. While our department does not have a dedicated library, there is a Central Library on the 2nd floor of our college with a wide range of books. I am not familiar with the hostels and canteens.

Faculty: Our professors are very helpful and highly qualified, as all of them hold Doctorates. The course is relevant, with subjects like C programming language and Sagemath in the DSE paper being very useful for our future careers. The semester exams are a bit challenging in this college.

Other: I chose B.Sc. Honours in Mathematics because I love Mathematics. The best aspect of this course is that you have to understand the concepts deeply rather than just superficially. I’ve learned that it’s one of the best colleges under Calcutta University. The only improvement needed is to increase the time gap between the semesters.

It is a good college for studying.

Placements: The college is a general degree college. As we've attended college for the first three semesters in online mode, we're not aware of internships. Also, the passouts of our college often get enrolled in institutes of high regard like IITs, IIMs, IISERs, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. The classes are air-conditioned, with projectors and screens, paving the way for smart classes. The centralised library is also good, and so is the gym. Labs are also rich in apparatus. Sports events are held every year in the winter.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are quite helpful. They will explain concepts thoroughly and will teach you again later if you ask. The course in mathematics is relevant, providing real-life problems to solve. Semester exams are moderate to tough. The pass CGPA is 4.

Placements: Around 80 percent of students were placed in our course. The highest, the lowest and average package offered in our course are 5 LPA, 2.4 LPA and 3 LPA respectively. Top recruiting companies for our course are Adecco. Kelly Services. Srisys Inc. CFT Consulting. Reflik. 70% of students got internship from our course.

Infrastructure: In our department many facilities are available among them high-speed Wi-Fi, labs, clean and clear classrooms, library are notable. Also hostels (for boys and girls), canteen, playground, medical facilities, sports and games are available.

Faculty: The teacher are very helpful, well qualified as well as well knowledgeable and their teaching quality and techniques are very good and impressive. This course curriculum is definitely relevant. It makes the students industry ready.

Could make some changes in placement and way of classrooms, really good facilities.

Placements: There were placement in 2024 for 2020 to 2024 students and 3 companies came. But the percent of students getting placement is not that much because more of the students pursue further education. But 20 to 25 percent students get placements and internship.

Infrastructure: There was lab for practical and classrooms including projector and all. Library facility was nice. It was enriched with good books and one can study there. Girls hostel is very nice along with the mess food facilities and all where as boys hostel is only for muslim boys.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and they all have p. Hd degree. They teach really really well. Yes the coyr curriculum is relevant. It makes the students industry ready. Semester exams were tough and syllabus was according to calcutta university. The pass percentage is 70 to 80%

Other: I always wanted to pursue my education in mathematics so i chose the course. Things like placement and smart classrooms could make the course better. A number of scholarship are valid in thr college.
