Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Alandi Pune (also known as MIT AOE Alandi Pune) is an autonomous private institution. MITAOE is stablished in 1999 and is only the third institute in Pune that has been bestowed with 'academic autonomy' by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and has been accredited by the NAAC with Grade 'A'. Yes, the institute provides direct admission to the second year of BTech through Lateral Entry. In order to pursue this course, the minimum eligibility requirement is to pass either Diploma with a minimum of 50% marks in appropriate branch of Engineering Technology or BSc Degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks with mathematics as a subject in Class 12. Aspirants must fill an online application form DTE Maharashtra portal and then register on MIT AOE's website.
Students applying for GATE 2025 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate can appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 30 papers for which the GATE 2025 will be conducted, they must carefully choose the papers they wish to write. A candidate is expected to appear in the papers appropriate to the discipline of his or her qualifying degree. However, he or she is free to choose any paper according to his or her admission plan, keeping in mind the GATE eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he or she wishes to seek admission.
