BDes is the  flagship programme of MIT Institute of Design Pune. The admission fee of BDes programme for the academic year 2023 is INR 3.16 lakhs (Tuition Fee).  Candidates are required to attempt the University-level entrance exam MIT DAT (Design Aptitute Test) for admission to BDes. The application fee for MIT DAT is INR 3000.  As per the placement report of 2023 The highest package and average package offered during MIT Institute of Design placements 2023 stood at INR 27 LPA and INR 8 LPA, respectively. Further, the minimum package offered during MIT Institute of Design placements 2023 stood at INR 5 LPA. The top recruiters during MIT Institute of Design placements 2023 included TCS, Google and Microsoft.

The last to submit MIT DAT application form is February 29, 2024. Maharashtra Institute of Technology Institute of Design offers three years BDes programme across eleven specialisation. BDes is the flagship course of the Institution Candidates are required to appear in the MIT DAT (Design Aptitude Test) to get into BDes programme. A valid score in MIT DAT followed by personal interview and studio test. 

MIT Institute of Design offers three three-year BDes programme under eleven specialisation. Candidates who have passed class 12th from any stream (HSC, CBSE, ICSE, IB) are eligible for the BDes programme. Further, candidates are required to go through the two-phase admission procedure. The first phase is to pass the Institute-based entrance test i.e. MIT DAT (MIT Design Aptitude Test). The second phase revolves around personal interviews and studio tests.

Different PG courses at MITID have different tuition fees. For example, the 1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Innovation Programme costs INR4,95,000, while the 2-year M.Des in Communication Design is INR3,42,500 per year. Expect additional fees like development charges, university fees, and hostel/mess charges. These can add up to another INR 1,20,000-1,50,000 per year.

MIT Institute of Design courses in Postgraduate, Undergraduate and Diploma level. BDes, MDes  and PG Diploma are tehe courses offered in the Institute. BDes and MDes are the two flagship programme of MIT Institute of Design. PG Diploma programme specialisation includes Automative Clay & Digital sclupting and Innovation. MIT DAT ( Design Aptitude Test) is required for the flagship courses followed by studio test and personal interview. 

Yes, MIT Institute of Design does offer a doctoral level programme i.e. PhD in Design under MIT-WPU’s School of Design. PhD In Design covers a minimum duration of three years. The eligibity criteria is three year bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate. The slection process involve entrance test conducted by MITWPU. Candidates who fulfills the eligibilty criterion  is qualified for the etrance test.
