National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi was established in 1986 under the Ministry of Textiles of the Government of India. NIFT Delhi was declared a statutory institute in 2006 and empowered to grant its own degree by the NIFT ACT of the Indian Parliament. The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers a two-year full-time MFM course at the postgraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to the MFM course need to appear for an entrance examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates of the entrance examination are then required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) round.
