The following is the selection process for B Des at National Institute of fashion technology. 

1.The students need to fill the online application form from the Institute's official website with all necessary details like 12th, 10th marks etc. 

2.After filling the application form student will be called to qualify for the NIFT test which includes aptitude tests, group discussions etc. after that the students need to wait for the cutoff. 

3.If the students qualifies in the cutoff, the NIFT counselling will take place. 

4.After counselling, the students will be given the final admission. 

Talking about the minimum NIFT entrance marks required, it totally depends on the seats available, and the cutoff. The cutoff rank which was required for BDes in fashion Designer in 2023 was 1692. All other specialisations will have different ramks. 

There are many specialisations in B Des course at National Institute of Fashion Technology. The specialisations include:-

• B Des in fashion designing. 
• B Des in accessory designing. 
• B Des in fashion communication. 
• B Des in textile designing. 

Each of these specialisations have approximately 44 seats intake. The total seat intake for B Des course is 176 seats. The cutoff will be released according to the number of seats only. Seeing the number of seats available students need to have a good rank in the university entrance test, in order to take admission. 

The following is the selection process for any course at National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna:-

1. Fill the application form from the Institute's official website with all required details such as 12th marks, address etc.

3. After the students qualify in the entrance test, they will be called for the final steps like counselling, Interview etc. 
4. After all the steps and fees deposition, the final admission will be given to the students.

NIFT Patna BDes admission process is conducted between November and June. For BDes admissions 2025, the registration process started on Nov 22, 2024. The last date to register online was Jan 6, 2025. Candidates who missed the deadline could apply with an additional late fee of INR 5,000 till Jan 9, 2025.

To be eligible for BDes at NIFT Patna, the candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board and his/her age should be less than 24 years. 

The NIFT BDes admission criteria is completely based on the NIFT entrance exam. Aspirants with a rank of 3100 or below have a chance of securing a seat at NIFT Patna BDes.

The total NIFT Patna MFM fee is inclusive of various components, such as tuition fees, hostel fees, one-time fees, etc. The total tuition fee for MFM at NIFT Patna is INR 5.86 lakh. Further, a one-time fee of INR 21,300 must be paid at admission. Candidates seeking accomodation at the institute must pay an additional hostel fee of INR 2.28 lakh. In fact, the NIFT prospectus prescribes the candidate to “apply on time and keep a printout / photocopy of application form for further reference along with proof of payment.”

The NIFT 2024 application form is for admission to the B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M courses. There are 18 participating NIFTs that currently have a combined intake of 5.215 seats.
