CAT Official Answer Key 2025

IIM Kozhikode releases CAT official answer key for all three slots. Official CAT answer key is released in two phases, proviosional and final. Candidates are allowed to raise objections against the CAT provisional answer key. Based on these objections, IIM will draft the CAT final answer key. IIM will calculate CAT scores using final answer key. Candidates find CAT answer key official on the IIM CAT website, iimcat.ac.in.

How to Challenge CAT Provisional Answer Key 2025?

Know how to raise objections against CAT answer key below:

1. Visit CAT exam website, iimact.ac.in.

2. Access ‘Candidate Login’ by entering log in details, like registration number and password.

3. Click the tab reading ‘Objection Form’ inside dashboard.

4. Choose section and question number against which you want to raise objection.

5. Select the option among

   • None of the options are correct

   • More than one option is correct

   • Answer key is incorrect

6. Enter remarks up to 500 words and pay the objection fee to submit the form

Calculating Score using CAT 2025 Response Sheet & Answer Key

Candidates can use response sheet, answer key and marking scheme top calculate their raw score in CAT exam. CAT exam has both negative and positive marking. CAT score calculated using marking scheme, response sheet and answer key is the raw score. Percentile score is calculated after the score is normalised.

Since CAT exam has three slots, IIM Kozhikode will normalise CAT scores of each candidate.

CAT Marking Scheme 2025

To calculate CAT scores, IIM will use the following marking scheme:

1. +3 marks for each correct response
2. -1 mark for each incorrect response
3. There is no negative marking for unattempted question.

CAT Raw Score = 3*(Number of correct responses) - 1*(Number of incorrect responses)

How is CAT Percentile Score Calculated?

Check process to calculate CAT percentile score is as follows:

1. Calculate number of test takers for CAT in all three slots. (can be denoted by N)
2. Assign a rank based on scaled score (normalised score) to all CAT test takers. (rank can be denoted by r)
3. Assign same rank to candidates with identical score.
4. Calculate percentile score using the formula (N -- r/ N)*100
5. CAT percentile is rounded off to two decimal points.
