Q:   What are the courses offered at NIFT Patna?
A: 

NIFT Patna offers a total of eleven courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. These eleven courses also includes certificate programmes. Admission to NIFT Patna courses is done through NIFT entrance exam.

Q:   What documents do I need for NIFT counselling?
A: 

The candidate will need the following documents to participate in the NIFT counselling process: Class 12/ degree mark sheet and certificate. Further, if the candidate is seeking admission to the PG course, then the candidate will also have to upload mark sheets and certificates of the qualifying degree examination.

In case of candidates who have appeared for the qualifying exam/ compartment (of final year/semester) and the result is due need to upload the date sheet /admit card for the examination. Other documents required are a Birth certificate, Category certificate, Medical fitness certificate, signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format in original.

Q:   Is pursuing B.Ftech at National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna expensive?

Hi.B.F.Tech. in Apparel Production at NIFT Patna is a 4 years course at the UG level. The course offers admission to 44 students. The total tuition fee for NIFT Patna B.F.Tech. in Apparel Production is INR 12.34 Lakh. Apart from the tuition fee, there is a one-time admission fee of amount INR 27,200, and a hostel fee of amount INR 63,400 that students are required to pay in addition to the tuition fee.

It good. Fees is to much
Placements: You just have to show your pass certificate for taking admission in NIFT. Highest package is 12 lakhs and lowest 4-5 lakhs. For textile students there is Rrvind, Raymonds, any mills or expert houses. 100% internship is provided like seniors designer.
Infrastructure: All over the infrastructure is good all facilities is provided. Mess and canteen is there with good quality of food. We have cultural department aur lot of activities for student in with they compete with other campuses of NIFT. wifi, labs, ac all are good.
Faculty: The faculties is done master or some of are PhD faculty also. We have one whatsapp group in which director and students are there for sharing problem or anything. This course make student industry read. Depends how is your work quality, creativity.
Other: Because I want to a designing then I searched a lot about NIFT or how they take admission on Google. The fee structure the fees of per semester is too high the are scholarship facility but because of limited seats is no value. Also the fun activities is down where it's sports, dancing, singing, fest, craft, a lot of activities is happening in college day to day dj night etc.

I'm enjoying my college life still ....it get disappointing sometimes for some students
Placements: Weave designer, Print Designer, Craft cluster manager, Hand illustrator Fabric quality assurance are the top roles offered. Almost 70% of the students get placed every year ,whom are not getting placed, mostly get the PPO offer. Lowest package is 3 lakh per annum and highest is 20 lakh pet annum. Raymond, Arvind, Trident etc are the top companies. 100% of th3 students get internships through college.
Infrastructure: We are provided, 24/7 wifi service, library access till 10pm , weaving lab , jackurd lab, Dyeing lab , classrooms, basket ball court , common study room , hall for dance practice, gym , cold water etc. Quality of food is good but sometimes it varies, I don't ear canteen food neither I stay in hostel. They provide basic medical facility and provide a health card every in which you can claim 3 lakh money for your medical emergency.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified mostly from NIFT ,NID or IIT pass outs. They are good understanding and help to learn. This is a 4 yr professional course in which we are provided with various industry visits ,internships cluster visits and many more, which makes us industry appropriate. The passing percentage is 6 CGPA.

My college life is interesting.
Placements: Hello everyone, I'm studying at NIFT Patna right now. I'm going into my 2nd year in August; this is going to be my 3rd semester. About my college, NIFT Patna is good; last year placements were very good but this year lots of my seniors are facing problems in placements. So if you want the best placements, then you have to score 9 CGPA in every semester. In my class, there are 35 students. And the most important thing is that if you think NIFT Patna is not good, then you are wrong; NIFT Patna is so good at everything. If you are thinking of coming to NIFT Patna, then go for it.
Infrastructure: The library is so good. I'm not a hosteler so I don't know about hostels. The labs are to good; there are all the things required that are needed. But in its labs, some computers are not working and the most important thing you have to do is buy a laptop. If you have one, then it's good to bring it with you to every IT class, like DDC. If you don't have a laptop, please buy one. A laptop is so important in your first year. You have to make lots of assignments and presentations on your laptop. And RC computers don't have Adobe. Classes are also good; they have a projector for presentations and AC. The Adobe package will be provided to you here from the campus.
Faculty: Teacher are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. All teachers have different techniques for studying. If your thinking is unique different and good, then you are in right place. Just give the submission in time. And be confident in front of jury; let them speak first. You just need more then 15/30 there are mid term and end term submissions; you just need more then 15 out of 30 At the end, your total marks for mid term and endterm are calculated out of 60 per subject. So submit your submissions in time. And most importantly, be ready for back-to-back presentations in every subjects.
Other: I chose fashion communication because this is the best course in NIFT. And there placements are good. Events and fests are beyond your imagination. So just come and see. Connect with seniors and faculty members; they are so good.

Our college provides good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Most of the students got placed in UI or UX. In the previous year, the highest salary package offered is 22 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Flipkart, Amazon, Raymond, LG, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities like Wi-Fi, a library, and separate IT laboratories for different departments are available. There are also GC, AD, and TB laboratories in the respective departments. There is also a photography laboratory for the FC department. The food served in the canteen is good. Nescafe is available in this college.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and helpful. They guide students during the assignments and also projects. They also inspire students to participate in different events and competitions. We also get enough time for assignments. Marking is based on the quality of work.
Other: I chose FC because of my interest in photography and graphics. It also has a good scope in future. We have many events in this college organized by the cultural club.

I am totally satisfied with my college.
Placements: 100 % placement occurrs every year. All students got placed is good companies. Their are parts in this course retail and production. Student can choose any one as per their interest and convince. And they have to do their graduation project in that field and they get placed according to that.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent. All the labs are well-equipped. In sewing lab many new machine are available that are automated to give a clear vision of industry. It is only center in which mechatronics lab is present so that the students can experiment and do something innovative in field of garment manufacturing.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and give their hundred percent to their students. They are always their to give guidence to students. A mentor is assign to each student's to guide them throughout the jounery of their college life. They provide good environment to learn something.
Other: Campus Life is extremely good. I enjoyed alot. If all full package of entertainment. Their is a lot of college fest in which you can showcase your talent.

Satisfied due to facilities and infrastructure. Dissatisfied due to below average placements.
Placements: The percentage of students who get placed ranges from around 75-80%. The highest packages is around 4.5 LPA, the lowest package is around 2-2.5 LPA and the average being around 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Myntra, Levi's, Aditya Birla Group, RIL, Shahi exports, Orient Craft and many other big fashion designers and houses of the Indian Fashion Industry. Everyone has to do the internships compulsorily and the companies are the same as mentioned above. The roles include fashion designer, Graphic designer, UI/UX designer etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure that was available were design labs - Garment construction lab, Pattern making lab, smart classrooms, Nescafe shop, resource centre with computer/books facilities along with many other facilities. All the facilities are really good. The hostel facility was very good but the mess food was not.
Faculty: The teachers were well qualified, knowledgeable, and experts in their fields with lots of industry experience. The quality of teaching was good and was usually practical in nature. The course curriculum was relevant but more exposure to the students should be provided like other top NIFT campuses. It does make the students ready for the industry and the summer internships is great.
Other: I chose the course out of my deep interest in fashion designing. The return on investment of the course is very less so that should be better. The campus is very huge and impressive with very modern architecture and gives very stylish vibes.

Q:   How do I get admission to B.FTech course at NIFT Patna?
A: 

The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers a four-year full-time BFTech course at the UG level. Candidates seeking admission to the BFTech course need to appear for an entrance examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates of the entrance examination are then required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) round. 

Q:   Can I get direct admission to B.Des at National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna?
A: 

No, you can't take direct admission to B.Des at the National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna.

BDes at NIFT Patna is offered in four different specialisations and they are, Accessories Design, Fashion Communication, Fashion Design and Textile Design. The duration of the course is four years and admission to NIFT Patna BDes is done through the NIFT Entrance exam.NIFT Entrance Exam is divided into three parts i.e. Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test/ Group Discussion, and Personal Interview (GD and PI) round. Candidates planning to pursue BDes are required to appear for CAT and GAT exams followed by the Situation Test.

To be eligible for NIFT Patna BDes, candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board and his/ her age should be less than 24 years as of 1st Aug of the year of admission.

 

 

Q:   Can I get National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna, B Des with a 56 marks in NIFT Entrance Exam?
A: 

56 marks may not be sufficient to take admission for BDes at National Institute of fashion technology Patna. Although your admission totally depends on the cutoff rank. This year the cutoff rank for BDes ( fashion designing) this year was 1692. The cutoff was not too much high, but 56 marks may not be sufficient. It also depends on for which specialisations you are applying for. Different specialisations will have different cutoffs as for all the departments different number of seats are available. 

Q:   Can I apply for NIFT 2024 with late fees?
A: 

Yes, the National Institute of Fashion Technology will allow candidates with late fees. The late fee application window will open once the deadline to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form with regular fee closes. The start and last date to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form with late fee will be notified by the institute before the regular application form closes or sometime thereabout. The late fee for NIFT 2024 will be INR 5,000. The late fee has to be paid in addition to the application fee, which is INR 3000 for open category candidates.
