    My review about this college.
Placements: Placement opportunities at NIT Silchar are one of the best among the colleges in North East India. Though other NITs provide excellent placement and job opportunities, NIT Silchar lags behind because of its geographical constraints. The companies visiting the college also provide internship opportunities. Companies like Lupin and Ranbaxy come for recruitment with an average package of around 5 LPA to 6 LPA, and the highest package is 65 LPA. After M.Sc. in Chemistry, you are eligible for a job in any pharmaceutical industry. Just send them your resume, pass the interview, and job done.
Infrastructure: College faculty is very good and interested in learning. The chemistry lab is also in campus, which is very clean, and there are many chemical products that help in learning more about it. Exams are also held on campus and are subjected to classes. There are 9 hostels for boys in this college and 3 hostels for girls. The hostel infrastructure is good. Mess facilities, TV room, sports room, and good spacious rooms are there. And it is also very cheap. There are single rooms, double rooms, and triple rooms. There are 10 hostels on our campus.
Faculty: Faculty of the college consists of Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors, with a minimum qualification of Ph.D. They are recruited after grounds of interview and are among the best in their field. The faculty of NIT Silchar is highly experienced, engaged in some good research work, and are student-friendly. They understand us. They always want to remain connected to students. Exams are held in semester system. Each semester is of six months. Exams are held twice in a year, and a project is given in the first three semesters to each student, which is guided by their faculty members.

NIT, Silchar is highly ranked and grown up to have national importance.
Placements: Oil and petroleum companies are interested, and many more educational institutions offer placements. The average package offered is 6.5 LPA, which is the highest in north-east NITs. NIT Silchar has the highest placement rate in the north.
Infrastructure: The campus is huge and ranked 6th in greenery among 925 universities. Asia's largest library is available at National Institute of Technology, Silchar. The mess is good for the food, and there are many hostels. Each hostel is connected with the business, and the food quality is average and reliable. You have to get a cycle to go to the college from the hostel to save time.
Faculty: Very good teachers are available. The labs are not good. They provide more job opportunities. Due to the applied portion, many companies like environmental, petroleum and drug companies are interested in providing placements to us.
Other: Due to the huge campus, the crowd is not high on the campus. The campus is very neat and clean. There are many places to spend time. A cafe and also a playground are available.

    My review about this college.
Placements: There is a placement cell which invites a lot of companies and firms for job opportunities. There are also opportunities for those who are willing to be an entrepreneur because students and the college also organize many times of hands-on workshops, research projects, and internships, as well as eminent scientists and professors talk to encourage students. So many companies come to recruit people. Internship fairs are organized by the placement cell of our college, and they recruit students from all courses. Packages vary from company to company, maximum being 12 LPA, and minimum 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is different for different hostels. There are 9 hostels for boys in this college and 3 hostels for girls. Mess and canteens are present in every college and have a quite amount of seats, so every student can sit here at one time and eat. Bathrooms are present in sufficient amount. You don't need to take tension for infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly educated and experienced as well. There are a lot of senior faculty members. Junior faculty members have also joined in recent times. We like the teaching of some and don't like the teaching of some others, just like any other college. They are always there to clear any type of your doubt. They also motivate every student to do well. They are also carrying out their research work. Many have bagged prestigious awards for their research works. Exams are semester based, two semesters per year. Examination fees are also to be submitted online. The exams were taught also. The course curriculum is good in this college. We study different subjects every semester. We almost cover every part of Physics in the whole course. Practicals are the part we are even more serious about. We love that.

The final year project in NIT Silchar BTech course carries a heavy weightage of 15 to 20 academic credits. This major project lets students apply classroom theory to complex technical problems. It encourages original research and development work before students join the industry.
