NIELIT Calicut MTech Courses & Fees: Eligibility, Admission, Seats, Cutoff, Application

NIELIT Calicut MTech course admission is based on the GATE, followed by counselling. Candidates must have a valid GATE score for the year in which they are applying. Additionally, GATE scores from the previous two years are also accepted for eligibility. The application process for the MTech course includes multiple steps, such as filling out the application form, submitting the required details, paying an application fee, appearing in the counselling process, releasing the cutoff list, etc. Moreover, candidates can apply online for NIELIT Calicut admissions. Step 1: NIELIT Calicut MTech Application Process 2025

Candidates applying for the MTech programme at NIELIT Calicut need to apply through the Common Counselling for MTech (CCMT) process (www.ccmt.nic.in), which is based on GATE scores. After registering and qualifying for GATE, candidates must apply for CCMT to be considered for centralised counselling for MTech admissions.

Step 1.1: Visit the official website of NIELIT Calicut: https://www.calicut.nielit.in/

Step 1.2: Go to the admission portal.

Step 1.3: Read the eligibility criteria and the details on the selection process.

Step 1.4: Then, click on the link to the application form.

Step 1.5: Start registration by filling out the basic details about candidates.

Step 1.6: Fill out all the necessary details asked by the institute.

Step 1.7: Pay the NIELIT Calicut MTech application fees, i.e., INR 500 for SC/ ST students and INR 1000 for other students.

Note: The candidates admitted through CCMT will be allowed to fill the choice of specialisation at the time of final registration in the Institute.

Step 2: Release of Cutoff List

The cutoff list for seat allotment will be prepared purely based on the GATE scores. Admission is subject to satisfying the requirements and availability of seats. Attending the counselling
does not guarantee admission. Moreover, individual call letters will not be sent to the candidates. Counselling will be done based on the selection list published on the NIELIT Calicut website.

Step 3: Seat Confirmation

Candidates offered admission are required to submit the one-year fees or at least one-semester fees on the same day of counselling, failing which the admission is not guaranteed. The total tuition fee for the MTech course at NIELIT Calicut is INR 1.8 lakh. This fee is as per the official website/sanctioning body. However, it is still subject to changes.

NIELIT Calicut MTech scholarships are offered in the form of an assistantship. To get this benefit, a valid GATE score is generally a prerequisite for eligibility. However, students who are BTech graduates from an IIT with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 are also eligible without a GATE score. NIELIT Calicut scholarships are offered to the students after qualifying certain eligibility criteria and parameters, such as students receiving an assistanship are not eligible to take any other scholarship, as part of the programme, students are required to assist with academic duties for 8 to 10 hours per week, etc.
