NIT Meghalaya accepts GATE score for admission to the M.Tech courses. As per the NIT Meghalaya M.Tech cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for M.Tech ranged between 356 and 424, among which CSE was the most competitive specialisation. For a few of the M.Tech sepcialisations, the cutoff stands closed after Round 1, 2 and 3. As per the last year cutoff data, the minimum GATE cutoff for NIT Meghalaya was 356 for M.Tech in CSE.

For admission to MTech course in NIT Meghalaya candidates have to appear for the GATE exam. GATE 2024 registration for M.Tech admission has started .Candidates can also fill GATE application form 2024 online at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. GATE 2024 exam will be conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11,    2024. IISc Bangalore has released the detailed GATE 2024 information brochure. Candidates can check the detailed notification on the GATE 2024 official website and also on the GATE Shiksha page. A new paper on GATE 2024 Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA) has been added.

GATE exams for M.Tech programme is out for admission to NIT Meghalaya. GATE registration had started and is available till Oct 13, with late fees. Candidates can dowload the GATE admit card from Jan 3, 2024 to Feb 2, 2024. The Gate exam is to be scheduled from Feb 3 to Feb 11, 2024. Candidates are required To register themselves by visiting the official GATE website.

NIT Meghalaya is among the newly established NITs in the northeast region. It managed to secure 72nd under engineering category. As for its placement,   NIT Meghalaya concluded the 2023 placement session with199 job offers. The NIT Meghalaya average package and the highest package stood at INR 11.10 LPA and INR 32 LPA, respectively. Additionally, the lowest package offered was INR 3.6 LPA. NIT Meghalaya has a good record of placements for its BTech, MTech, and MSc courses. In 2024, the participating recruiters presented 117 job offers to the Class of 2024. The key highlights of NIT Meghalaya placements for the Class of 2023 and 2024 are tabulated below:

Direct admission is not offered for MSc at NIT Meghalaya. Admission to MSc is based on the JAM scores followed by CCMN counselling. However, the institute conducts entrance exam to fill the vacant seats after CCMN counselling. Further, before applying for the MSc programme, candidates must qualify for the course-wise eligibility criteria.
