The NIT Meghalaya M.Tech course admission is subject to the fulfilment of eligibility and selection criteria. As per official sources, to be eligible, candidates must have passed a BE/BTech degree in a relevant discipline with a 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% aggregate for Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Once students have registered on the GATE application portal, they must participate in the subsequent CCMT counselling process. In this process, the M.Tech seats are allocated based on the candidate's performance in the GATE exam and the availability of seats. Those who are allocated a seat via this process must pay an admission fee of to secure their admission.

As per the round 3 of JEE Main cutoff 2025, it is possible to get admission to NIT Raipur with a rank of 45000 in JEE Main. The cutoff for the General AI category candidates was closed at 22131 and 48977.
