NIT Meghalaya accepts GATE score for admission to the M.Tech courses. As per the NIT Meghalaya M.Tech cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for M.Tech ranged between 356 and 424, among which CSE was the most competitive specialisation. For a few of the M.Tech sepcialisations, the cutoff stands closed after Round 1, 2 and 3. As per the last year cutoff data, the minimum GATE cutoff for NIT Meghalaya was 356 for M.Tech in CSE.

A new paper on GATE 2024 Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA) has been added. 

Once students have registered on the GATE application portal, they must participate in the subsequent CCMT counselling process. In this process, the M.Tech seats are allocated based on the candidate's performance in the GATE exam and the availability of seats. Those who are allocated a seat via this process must pay an admission fee of to secure their admission.

NIT Meghalaya fees are mentioned below, although the actual amount may be reduced through scholarships offered by the institution. The total fee is determined using the annual/semester fee applicable for the academic year, making it an estimate. A caution deposit of INR 5,000 is required to be paid.

As per the round 3 of JEE Main cutoff 2025, it is possible to get admission to NIT Raipur with a rank of 45000 in JEE Main. The cutoff for the General AI category candidates was closed at 22131 and 48977. Looking at the cutoff range, it was evident that getting admission at 45000 rank is possible, among the General AI category candidates. 

NIT Meghalaya provides various programmes and specialisations to students. These courses are available in different streams. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced
